Yasuhiro Anpo is a good director, Revelations 2, which he directed, is one of my favorites, but honestly he seems very lost in his decisions. RE5, for example, tries to be RE4 at all costs, forgetting even its very good ideas, such as the events of Lost In Nightmares being a DLC and not the game's introduction. RE2R has a fantastic setting, but they forgot the simplest thing about the game, the coherence of the stories, making it worse than its 1998 version, which delivered two stories tied together. RE4R only became more successful because it went through the hands of M-Two, and was directed by Tatsuya Minami, friend of Shingi Mikami and producer of RE∅, in addition to the game's production at M-Two being under Hiroyuki Kobayashi, the same of RE4OG, more due to creative differences, the game went to division 1 practically ready, and Yasuhiro Anpo himself stated that he took many things ready, such as the knife parry being made just to fight Krauser, and he ended up putting it in entire game. in RE5, many of the positive things came much more from Kenichi Ueda, also the director of RE5. I'm not saying that it's bad, but he himself said that many of the project's new features, whether mixing the original's scenarios, climate changes or things like that, were done in the final stretch of production, and even considered postponing the project with weeks to go. release due to the immense number of bugs. Ultimately, I hope that in the next Remake, which will most likely be RE1, if he is the director, he will have a better direction for the project than wanting to reinvent the wheel and bring new features that often seem forced, as was the case in certain 4 things that you feel were implemented at the last minute. But if it's to be guessed, RE1 Remake should come in 2026 directed by either Tatsuya Minami or Yasuhiro Anpo, but it should already be made by M-Two.
@@lightningmonky7674Man, RE5 and RE6 are still extremely modern, there is even a mod for RE4 on PC that leaves the game with gameplay similar to RE6 and practically identical to RE5, even changing weapons in real time and walking and aiming is also allowed. But RE6 Remake is already crazy, maybe the remake of 6 could come in 2037, since I only believe that Capcom will release 5 Remake in 2034 due to the original game's 25th anniversary on that date. The next Remake will most likely be RE1 in 2026, in 2027 there should be a Spin Off, most likely Revelations 3, in 2028 the Remake of RE∅ should come out, as on that date the game celebrates 25 years, and in 2029 Resident Evil 10 , since a new RE comes out every 4 years, so if the 9 comes out in 2025, the next one comes out in 2029. And finally, in 2030 the remake of CODE: Veronica should come to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original game. The Remake of 5 should only come after that date.
i realized the crosshair is much bigger in Re2 compared to Re4 , just so in re4 aiming is way easier which shows how Leon training after the Raccoon city incident improved his skills
Both are very good in the same way the ogs were re2 was always scary never action i loved it both games and re4 always more action with a bit of creepyness too it i like that the new one could also capture that as well both amazing games
Man I've done re2 nearly 100 times and I still go back for more. As much as I enjoyed re4 I never found them action games something I can go back to. I just love good ol survival horror
Both amazing games. The trouble with comparing them is they're almost different genres. Re2 is strictly survival horror with some action elements. Re4 starts the same way, but by the time you reach the castle in act 2 you're basically in for an action experience. I love them both for what they try to do. The knife parry really makes you feel like a badass Leon, though. And Mercenaries mode caught me a lot more than the extra scenarios mode in re2.
IMO both are great at what they do RE2: Survival Horror Reimagined RE4: Action Horror Reimagined Both appeal to modern audiences as they do to players that played the OG versions of both

Resi 2 takes its roots more in depth by incorporating the classic style and gameplay but Resi 4 is just pure action king of bliss its on another level and i cant even begin on where to appreciate it completely

I like how in re 2 Leon is walking while holding his gun like a cop should and in re 4 he is an ex cop and just walks with the gun in one hand
Because Leon in RE4 is Agent not a cop
there is some points when walking with a pistol he’ll go back to holding it. only for a quick sec tho

No doubt RE 2 is the best of The BEST.

It is because of the dirt on Leon and how gritty the re2 was than Re4 is. And we really don’t know if this is max settings on graphics.
