Replacing Hoses and Upgrading My Tractor - Kubota B7500

- In this video I briefly go over replacing hydraulic hoses on my tractor along with some information on the benefits of adding nylon sleeve protectors to your hoses. Great idea to cover them and keep the sunlight off. I also show you how to change the hydraulic oil/filters and clean the strainer. This is on a 2003 Kubota B 7500 but should be pretty similar for most Kubota tractors.

As an aircraft mechanic. We cut the safety wire off like you. But then grab the second half of the tail and bend it in 180 degrees to the start of the twist. I definitly agree, you are very thorough. Great job!
Awesome! Great to hear I'm doing it at least halfway right. I've looked up a few videos in the past on the proper Aviation way to do it, and it just seemed like a little overkill for the things I'm using safety wire for. I just love using safety wire whenever I can since you don't have to worry about it dry rotting or falling apart like many other materials. I should probably spend some time and get down the proper techniques though
Do you think he had to many twist per inch? It looked like .032
I'm redoing my B7500, the battery tray was rotted due to battery leak. I used to deal with safety wire all the time, use a pair of needle nose and curl the end like a pig tail. Thanks for the upload.

An easy and inexpensive way to protect hydraulic hoses is with lengths of automotive heater hose split lengthwise and attached with zip ties. Heater hose comes in various diameters that allow a snug fit. Many of my 1970s John Deere 500C backhoe’s dozens of hoses are thus protected. It’s nothing to spend $100 on a single line - and easy to justify the effort to cover them, especially if you don’t have to separate fittings best left untouched.

Yes it’s true you should always check your hydraulic fluid with no load on it, if you check it with the bucket high in the air your get a low reading and when you top it off up to level and bring the bucket back down it will be over full and spill out.
But great video on replacing those lines, great idea to keep those hoses protected, working on forklifts I see no many lines blown out from son or operator error
Thanks for clearing that up Tyler. I was definitely sure about the front loader but not 100% sure on the three-point Implement in the rear. But yeah makes sense that it would be lowered to check your fluid level and get an accurate reading

Would love to see you do a rebuild video on the rams. I need to do that on mine. Shop wants $325 to rebuild it and the seal kit is $42. I feel like I could do it with a little guidance.

Thanks for the B7500 content! I have a B7500 too but the front loader and rear 3pt just quit working. I was told it's most likely the hydraulic pump, does that sound right? New pump and fluid flush is $$$$
No prob! Thanks for checking the vids B7500 videos out. And yea could be the pump. I would start by checking pressures and that the pressure relief is working properly.

Yeah I got some of them at messick's and some of them made at a local shop. Messicks has great diagrams that you can pick them from

Thanks to your video I am just going to do preventative maintenance on all my hydraulics on my LA302. I have a Woods BH6500 3PTH I will get around to replacing all the lines on as well. Only 242hrs on my 2001 B7500, but I sprung a pin hole leak on the line that controls the buck to go up.
When you added the couplings to the hose and where the hoses attach to the tractor for front loader did you use any type pipe dope/thread sealant?
