Yes it is. The Ord River almost feels unnatural. They have an endless buffet of live stock getting bogged in mud and a large number of Wallabies. Crocodiles are thriving, with several large males within a short distance. Have you watched the 28 Crocs episode? 👍
amazing, Of all the croc footage I have watched nothings put the fear and absolute disgust than seeing all those massive crocs circling. Holey shit! what a moment to catch
Saw a cow stuck in Normanton we rang the station 🚉 they was on it pretty quick as it was rite near town 😎one big fella lives near town big as that beast in ya video ! It made me buy a bigger boat 🛥️ as385 felt like a sardine can in the Norman river 😂
Yeh we were in a 420 Busta for this trip. A 385 would’ve definitely felt like a sardine can for the eating. I only go down there in my 490 Stessco now 😂. Hope you enjoyed the video 🐊
Hey mate, I lived up there for 4 yrs. Let's put it this way, if you go swimming in the rivers up there there's a good chance it'll be the last thing you ever do.
@Stranger Tides , Is that "Maximus" at 1:45 in the video? Jeremy Rooke has videos of Maximus on UA-cam. Apparently, Maximus lives in the Ord River and was measured by laser range finder and is estimated to be 7 meters long. If you search Jeremy Rooke's UA-cam channel, you can see videos of Maximus and videos of Maximus eating a cow.
I'm in the US, are there two different variants of saltwater crocs? I see some that are lighter in color with more pattern, and then ones that are completely dark on the top of their bodies. It always seems like the latter are the large crocs in the videos I have seen.
@@SaltyHookups I am a couple hours north of gator territory but when I go fishing on the Santee in South Carolina, there are alligators as big as fishing boats, nowhere near as mean as a croc, still wouldn't wanna swim with one though .When I say fishing boat I mean the 12'-17' range.
As @Stranger Tides said it has to do with environment but also as the crocs age they tend to get darker hence why most of the biggest ones appear to be darker.
We always call this Croc in the video Maximus as all the other crocodiles kept their distance. We are unsure, because there are so many big bulls in the river and have definitely seen bigger 🐊
They aren't endangered anymore, but as a native Australian animal they have certain protections. Killing or culling is only permitted in very specific circumstances.
We just named him Maximus in the end. There were a few big crocs around, none of them wanted to mess around with his dinner and were cautious of him. Big Croc 🐊
Amazing footage. That one holding its catch is massive. Just look at the width of it's neck. Would have been nice to see them feed.
ive seen probably all crocodile videos that exist, ive never seen this size, this croc is HUUGE
doubt it, if you did see all of them, you'd know Maximus appears to be much bigger
that dude is probably 5 meters long. It's rare to see so many bulls salties so close without fighting.

Very true 🐊
Other crocks be like 'come on man, you can't eat all that by yourself....'
😂
No shortage of big crocs there
wow.. they are huge!
Lets say that is a big brahman bull, that croc is just 5 meters..
That croc makes the cow look like a dog😱

Not sure mate, I’ll have a look 👀

Yeh I’m not exactly sure. Apparently it’s to do with their environment. Most of the really big ones are definitely a darker colour.

Is Maxiums, the 23 footer still in the Ord River?

Good music.
Explain to me again why crocodiles are an endangered species?
There were very little numbers back in the day…. I don’t think that’s the case anymore haha
They aren't endangered anymore, but as a native Australian animal they have certain protections. Killing or culling is only permitted in very specific circumstances.
crocodriles were hunted for decades for their skin, actually their numbers are increasing thanks to protection
This croc looks like maximus

@@SaltyHookups is it the same Maximus?
How big was the cow that the croc had?
Probably 2.3m-2.7m lengthwise
😮😮monster
where is the mauling part? I hate these click-baited tittles.
Do you sell shirts with your skeleton pic on them
There are a few shirts in the works, however the skeleton design isn’t one of them. Definitely worth considering in the future 👍
