It's not your business. It's what companies like prime feed drivers. You can pick your freight but deny to many loads. The dispatch will move you down the list. The difference between lease op and company op. Is you are stuck paying the bill for running a truck you'll never own in the end. The best way is to get your own attorney and contract lease through a truck manufacturer if you want a new truck all the time. Then get in with good reputation brokers. Or find a line haul yourself. Because you are still restricted by the company you are running for. Especially putting cameras in "your" truck. If you put a camera in the truck for yourself, then cool. But a company is going to protect themselves from lawsuit before standing by your side. Drivers are a dime a dozen. And they will lease that truck to the next guy without a thought or tear for you. I do wish you the best. Just be aware of the better things for you lifes situations. I drove 10y myself and still hold my cdl. But i own a landscaping and tree business nowadays. I miss driving but trucking industry is not going in the favorable direction for drivers. Since just over the hill are automated vehicles. Then what will companies do. Im going to guess go automated asap. Because the biggest bill of any business is labor costs.

I live down in Wilmington, NC but got a chance to do north east regional so I hopped on. Without getting into specifics, revenue was great, then got a bit wonky but seems to be fighting back now. I had thought about South east regional but I was like ugh... Atlanta... 😂😂
Atlanta ain't shit compared to the jersey turnpike, or inner new york boroughs. Wait til you spend 3 hours on 95 just trying to get past DC. Atlanta ain't shit. That's one area, the whole NE is shit and parking is nonexistent up there
@Gregg438 Tripp planning is harder these days. I see truckstops filling up at 3pm sometimes. I have gotten "creative" with finding parking though. Goodluck though, most drivers don't like working NE. Pays well, but fuel is high and parking is less. But, if you can work it, that's great.
I know a couple people se regional. The money isn't the same, and they are pressured more to not decline loads. Would be interested how it works out Also in winter the rates get driven down even more because all the people flooding that region that don't drive in snow...so I've heard
Definitely worth it. I came to Prime almost exactly 10 years ago. I went from company driver to lease driver to north east regional lease driver-which is where I'm at still now. The economy is really weird and sticky right now but come on in and give it your all. Because of Prime I was able to clear debt and not only build a house in suburban Wilmington, North Carolina, but I'm on the verge of building ANOTHER after profiting off the sale of the last one. Prime is an excellent organization. There are a lot of haters and a lot of noise. Ignore all that.

@@mikeduncan5932 the turnpike is usually fine and I've never struggled to park. It's in the trip planning and awareness of options.
