Good luck, you need any help just send me a comment back. On top of being prone to head gasket failure the wiring to those fans causes a good majority of it too
Thank you soo much! I have a chevy venture wb edition with overheating problems. I've changed out the thermostat and flushed the radiator, this helped me out alot! It was a relay. I also had to bypass the second radiator in the rear for now because the motor gave out. Again, thanks for the help!
I'm glad it helped you, I've worked on quite a few of these vans for overheating issues. Seen people change intake and head gaskets and they continue to overheat because of a problem with the fans, either one will work, neither will work or they'll only run in low or high speed all of which will overheat the cooling system. Thanks for the positive comment and if you haven't already would you please subscribe to the channel and feel free to reach out anytime
2005 chevy uplander. Fans dont come on. Tested fans and they work... fans do come on when you apply ground on any of the 3 relays. 1 low speed and 2 fast apeed.. temperature its been all the way to 210-215f and fans never come on. Idk what to do
What's the make and model of the vehicle you own and yes it could be a relay, bad wiring, bad ground, bad coolant temp sensor, or the pcm not commanding the fans. Does the fans run at low speed or high speed with the AC turned on and are you sure both fans are running when the PCM commands them on and off while you're running the AC?
The schematic was very helpful. Wish me luck as I attempt to save my van from the junkyard!

Bless your heart for all the good info, but the video is soooo herky jerky! Thanks for the help
So did you fix it?
The head gaskets got better around 03. Convinced that most of the motors get ruined by these fans not working.
Thanks...
