Oh no! You'll accumulate tons of spare parts as you build more, the hard part is culling them out so you don't have too much to go through (that's where I am) 😂
the scale may be a little off but I would think plain white birthday candles dipped in white glue to keep them from melting would be a lot easier to work with, probably even easier to shave down to proper scale and get an actual wick
That made things so much easier, I think I’ll go down to just a single drop of glue going forward, they all came off easily enough, but I think it may have been overkill.
Necessity is the mother of invention my friend, it’s amazing how the simplest things make us the happiest! Great job today 😊 btw you can save your plexiglass by using parchment paper for gluing down pieces, dollar stores sell it cheaper than the grocery stores
@@francesco2647 the parchment paper is placed on a hard surface like a work table, it’s like waxed paper and it’s actually used for baking so goodies like chocolate chip cookies (my favorite) don’t stick to the cookie sheet
I had the same problem with my lantern ball, but didn’t have any spare parts because it's my first build!

Possibly some of the really skinny ones, but I think the plain birthday candles would still be too big for those holders. Maybe though. 🤷
The acrylic sheet might be a better idea then double sided tape as sometime doesn't work. Good thinking !!
