These are the types of videos I really enjoy watching. No yelling, no swearing, no ridiculously difficult recipes, just good honest cooking presented by a lovely lady. So glad I found this channel.
I watch a lot of cooking videos but you just make me feel like I’m in the kitchen with you. Something that doesn’t happen with most channels. You just have this way of reaching out to teach the basics and beyond and make people feel your love of cooking and food. I just found your channel in the last several days, am down with sinus infection and am so sad I’ve almost watched all of your videos. 😂 Love your new kitchen, your recipes, your relationship with your husband and family but most of all, you are just a joy to watch, listen to and learn new recipes.
So glad I found you!!! You remind me of my great Aunt. I miss her!! I don’t think the lord placed a sweeter soul on this earth than her. Watching you has bought her back, even your head moving like it does! Thank you!! Keep cooking and I will keep watching
Worstershire sauce 1 tbsp and 3 teaspoons of smoked paprika 1 tablespoon of brown sugar half tsp of celery seed a big squirt of ketchup 2 tbsp of mustard 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
Thank you. It really is if I say so myself. You xan add a bit more liquid, add beans, tomatoes if water, and have a scrumptious bowl of chili with some cornbread crackers or a yummy grilled cheese. Thank you for watching .
Miss Karen, you're such a pleasure to watch! My husband loves hot dog chili on many things. He likes his spicy though. I'm definitely going to try this recipe, but I'm going to add some cayenne pepper into it. Have a pleasant vacation! 🥰😘
OH my goodness, I’m always on a search for the perfect homemade hot dog chili…this reminds me of some I grew up eating as a small child at the local small town drive-in. They made their own and it was Devine! I have yet to find any close to it until now! Thanks for sharing your recipe!
Hey Karen, yes I have heard of Shannon in fact my cousin use to board her horse somewhere in Shannon that was way back in the early 60's. Me an my older sisters graduated from Hueytown an my husband went to McAdory High back in the day. Do you remember the skating rink in bessemer an the spinning wheel drive in. Those were the days.
Thank you, Ms. Jones! This looks like a good chili dog recipe. I've never tried to boil the burger and I've never used beef bouillon before. Thanks for the lesson!
I'm making this right now. I simmered it for an hour, but had a difficult time getting it to thicken--probably due to my heavy, stainless steel pot--so I added a cornstarch slurry with 1 tsp of cornstarch and a little water, and now it's thickening up beautifully. It looks and smell great! Thanks for the recipe! As for my regular chili, I add Brook's chili beans, Mexican stewed tomatoes, and, sometimes, a can of diced green chilis for extra zing. In addition to your spices, I add onion powder.
Yours sounds delicious. I don't add tomatoes to my regular chili, I love tomatoes but I don't care for them in my chili, soup yes, sounds crazy. But I do love to add beans. I use the Bush's chili beans. 😋
Ooooh, this looks so so good! I’ll tell you something awful. When I was a little girl, my cousin and I took Zesta saltine crackers and spread margarine on them to eat with our chili! Watching this made me remember that for some reason. Maybe the barbecue corn chips thing 🤷🏻♀️Lol! Anyway, I’m gonna make this and eat it with some butter crackers! Bon Appetit Karen! 💕
@@bleuskye8124 it really is! Addictive too. You can’t eat just one. More like an entire sleeve of crackers! With “I can’t believe it’s not butter”, maybe it’s not so fattening 🤷🏻♀️
Miss Karen, I am new to your channel, and just love it. Your hot dog chili is similar to my recipe. Boiling the meat makes it have such a delicious fine texture in the chili. To me, the perfect hot dog is topped with chili (or sauce as we say in these parts), slaw and French's yellow mustard aka a West Virginia Dog.
Thanks for the recipe! I add ketchup to ours instead of the tomato sauce. It adds a savory flavor to me. I use a tsp of better than bouillon beef flavor too. Hope you enjoyed your vacation. 💕
Where I live in South Mississippi we have a restaurant called WARDs they serve chili burgers and chili dogs this restaurant has been open since I was in high school 50 some odd years ago.
