The Cars One of the most amazing debuts of all time. The second side suite is stunning and still holds up today. They were so far ahead of their time. A timeless album. A classic debut.
it may sound rather dramatic but I was questioning whether I should be listening to the stuff I do (Judas Priest, Halloween, queen, UFO, acdc etc etc) at my age ( 58).. I watch most of your shows and I have to say you've inspired me to stick with it, find the passion again.. Its getting there.. You guys have such passion and enthusiasm, I realise I'm not the only one.. Keep up the great work..
It’s worth noting, and Martin will know this, that Crime Of The Century was an absolute phenomenon in Canada, where it’s one of the first albums here to ever be certified 10 x platinum or Diamond. That’s by far more than it’s sold in any other country, including the U.S or UK where it’s only certified gold. It’s sold more copies in Canada than the US with only 10% of the population. Canada might be their biggest market because Breakfast in America is also Diamond Status in Canada. When you think of a list that Includes bands with more than one diamond album, Supertramp is one name I don’t think most people would expect to see on that list. Pretty cool
When that album first came out I was in a record store where that was playing over the sound system. I had never heard of Supertramp before. I bought it on the spot. Loved Supertramp ever since.
@Martin Popoff Saturday night Fever was the first, grease soundtrack was the second both in 78. Both compilations. Supertramp’s 2 albums were certified in 1979. Just crazy when you think about it. Fleetwood Mac (certified Diamond in 78) Rumours, and Meatloaf (certified diamond in 79) figure in there somewhere too, but those are actually double Diamond albums now. Still quite an accomplishment from little old Supertramp.

My "problem" with Abbey Road is "I Want You (Shes So Heavy). It's not that it's a bad song. It just doesn't seem to fit with the vibe of the rest of the album. It seems out of place. I think it would have fit better on the self-titled white album. I'm splitting hairs, though.

Thanks Pete and Martin for again doing part 2 of this list....here are my top five favorite perfect albums part two: 1. This channel has introduced me to some bands but more importantly reminded me of bands that I may have just heard the name but never listened to yet, like Montrose,cactus,mc5. I also started listening to Alice Cooper, which with what I'm into,I have no idea why I haven't really before there's only so many hours a day I guess.
Cheers Pete. 1) Rush- Moving Pictures 2) Robin Trower- Bridge of Sighs 3) Yes- Close to the Edge 4) Return to Forever- Romantic Warrior 5) Steely Dan- Aja
Really love and admire Martin's writing and his passion for spreading the gospel of Rock and Roll. Have enjoyed Pete's videos that I have viewed. I will check some more out.
Terrific show. Major agreements with Queen 1 , the Cars also! More! And I will not be embarrassed to say The Game is my #2. Ok I know Another one bites the dust...but at the time before it was all over high school gyms, then college basketball tournaments and eventually major stadiums....the albums is terrific, great productions, great songs, and oooh those harmonies. Close #2 to #1
When Pete and Martin did the first Perfect Albums video, the two albums that immediately came to mind for me were Aja and Fire of Unknown Origin. Glad to see both get some love here.
The perfect album series is a treat to watch and I’ve discovered so much stuff that I’d probably never would have got around to. Thanks for this series, hope there are more parts to come (this got answered at the end!)
Never thought I'd hear The Stranglers being mentioned on this channel (God bless Popoff). I'd argue their first album has no poor songs. Including their 'prog' epic Down in the Sewer.
Chameleons! great pull! One of my favorites - bought "What Does Anything Mean Basically?" on a whim in '85 and I've been a big fan since. At the time it would have been one of the first 10-12 CDs that I bought - still bought vinyl after that but pretty soon converted to all CD.
Loved this episode, guys - I typically may not be in agreement because you’re so much more into heavy metal and punk than I am, but PETE!! That number 1 pick made me gasp, as I absolutely love that album myself. Thanks guys for all the recommendations and comments, you always talk about groups and albums that I may have missed in my 60 years, so I always make a point of checking out most of those picks I’m not so familiar with. Many people out are searching for great music from new bands but there’s tons of great music under our noses that we’ve just never noticed before. Look back, dig deep and you’ll find it in abundance!
The Aerosmith, Dream Theatre and especially Supertramp making the list is very cool. Floyd- Wish You Were Here, Bowie-Ziggy A special shoutout to Rush- Moving Pictures (40 years old today) ✌️
Perfect too: Lights Out - UFO Earthshaker - Y&T Script for a Jester's Tear - Marillion The Crossing - Big Country Master of Puppets - Metallica A surprising number of perfect albums from the 19eighties.
Styx: Pieces of Eight Russ Ballard: S/T Charlie: S/T Journey: Departure Survivor: Vital Signs FM: Tough it out Magnum: On a storytellers night Honeymoon Suite: The big Price Marillion: Misplaced Childhood Saga: Worlds Apart Rush: 2112 Tommy Shaw: Ambition Toto: Isolation Camel: Mirage Triumph: Never Surrender Brian Adams: Reckless Fleetwood Mac: Rumors Judas Priest: Screaming for Vengeance Iron Maiden: S/T Riot: Fire down under Y&T: Earthshaker Rainbow: Rising Metallica: Ride the lightning Dream Theater: Images and Words Queensryche: The Warning Abba: The Visitors Dokken: Tooth and Nail Def Leppard: Pyromania Strangeways: Native Sons Boulevard: BLVD
Very cool choices. Honeymoon Suite the big prize is an amazing album from front to back and I thought I was only person ever that loved Tommy shaws Ambition. Definitely the album he should have made earlier in his solo career.
I love that Manics album as well, played it to death in the late '90s. As someone who loved a lot of the Britpop bands, including Oasis, I find it hard to separate them from that crowd myself. Here's a Britpop band that I bet Martin likes - Kula Shaker. What a great band.
The discussions you have with Martin are absolutely spectacular Pete. I am very glad that you have turned them into a weekly thing since it's always a blast to listen to you two talking. Keep up the great work!
Pink floyd: meddle, dark side, Wishyou were here, Animals(my fav album of all time),wall, the final cut, division bell Queen: 1,2 sheer hearth atacak, night at the opera(fav by them), Â day at the races, news of the world, jazz, made in heaven Beatles:rubber soul, revolver, magical mystery tour, sgt pepper, white album, abbey road(fav by them) Alan parsons project: I robot, eye in the sky, turn of a friendly card, ammonia avenue, pyramid Dire straits:Love over gold, Brothers in arms , dire straits Toto: toto4 ,fahrenheit Led zeppelin: 2,3,4,physical grafiti, Pressence My fav albums from my fav bands
Nightfall in Middle earth and DBTO, right on! Two that are so important to me , and it sounds like i really need to go check some Nightwish , i keep hearing good things and i see on this list, I'm probably gonna find a little treasure thats gotten lost in the great dark forest of great music, it happens
1. Highway to Hell - AC/DC 2. (Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd) - Lynyrd Skynyrd 3. Revolver - The Beatles 4. Stained Class - Judas Priest 5. Who's Next - The Who
Skynyrd’s debut is absolutely amazing. Love it. That, The doors’, Boston’s, the Cars’, and Van Halen’s debuts are my top 5 favorite debuts of all time. All genuinely perfect albums with no weak tracks on any
loved it when martin pulled out everything must go album out. what a brilliant album. it has also got a song which would have been a great pick from another one of your previous shows which was killer closing songs on a album. the song i say is no surface but all feeling
@@matma84 When he held up the cd cover i thought good choice and maybe a bit left field for this channel .Still stands up as a truly great band /albums ,underrated.
1- Return to Forever- Romantic Warrior (R.I.P. Chick) 2- Queensryche- Operation Mindcrime 3- Montrose- Montrose (Debut) 4- Robin Trower- Bridge of Sighs 5- Queen- Queen 1( Debut) 6- Pat Benatar- Crimes of Passion 7- Heart- Dreamboat Annie 8- Bob Dylan- Blood on the Tracks 9- Bruce Springsteen- Born to Run 10- Steppenwolf- Slow Flux so underrated and forgotten ( My contrarian choice for Martin Lol)
1. ELP- Trilogy 2. Metallica- ...And justice for all 3. UK- UK 4. Return to forever- Where have i known you before 5. Genesis- The lamb lies down on broadway (Never understood why a lot of people dismiss the second half of the album or think it's any less spectacular than the first, a perfect journey from start to finish IMO)
Big shout out to Martin for mentioning The Manics this week and Waterboys last week. Both HUGE in the 80s and 90s respectively. Shame they're unknown in North America relatively.
love this topic Doobie Brothers - The Captain & Me...could have picked Vices are now Habits too...those early albums were gems Jethro Tull -Songs from the Wood...JT has maybe 4 perfect albums Supertramp- Crime of the Century- crisis/what crisis is great too Chicago 7 ...love the jazzy feel of the first half and big hits of the 2nd Bad Company- debut album...every track is classic
5 ) The Police - ' Zenyatta Mondata ' 4 ) AC / DC - ' Back In Black ' 3 ) Steely Dan - ' Aja ' 2 ) The Moody Blues - ' Days Of Future Past ' 1 ) The Eagles - ' Hotel California '
Was going to put , ' Wish You Were Here ' as my # 1 , but put , ' Dark Side Of The Moon ' last time ... same with ' Sgt. Peppers ' - had , ' Abbey Road ' last time ...
You always remember your first records you bought as a child when you had the money or in my case went to the "Record Town Store" that I later worked at when I was 18 ish/ 19 ish as a youngster. My first BUY was Scorpions Blackout. I liked it but it was my next BUY that really impressed me to listen over and over again. That was Queen' Greatest Hits that they put together sometime in the early 1980's . I listened to that record to death and then started my collection at the time. I would have been around 7 years old when I bought that first Scorpions Blackout CD. CD's were new at the time. The same day my DAD bought a limited first or second generation Beatles Library. At the time If my memory serves me correct was like $200/300 bucks for all of the Studio Vinyl's. I will never forget that day. Shortly after I bought the Queen Greatest hits on CD. I loved all of the tracks. I think it was believe it or not the Flash sound track that made me think that this Band was completely different than all of the rest. The other stuff did it too but it was the Sci Fi with movies and music combination that got me really started back when I was about 8 years old. I knew every track on every album of Queen. Of course I branched off and found the Zep catalogue, Priest, Styx, Boston, all of the great 70's trying to catch up to what I had missed. All amazing. I had lots of great times with Yes, Aerosmith, The Grunge era, Motley Crue early era especially. I bought everything that I could afford. Music buying was my hobby along with baseball cards. Loads of fun. We are all waiting for that next big blossom and fruit of a change. I think if we can fix Big Big Executives that are getting older and more corrupt at the top then we have a Real chance at the next big thing. There are so much talent that we have not heard about out there. Sign bands and give them a chance already. Let the fans Decide. Love your channel. Especially love what Martin and Pete knowledge . You guys are a decade ahead of me. I was born in 1975. I love it guys. Keep it coming. Awesome!
Loved the 2 almost out of the gate BOC picks! 2 mammoth albums with incredible songs. Martin's Fire of Unknown Origin pick is my favorite too! What an album!
'Showtime, Storytime' Nightwish Perfect performance and amazing energy on every track 'Workingman's Dead' Grateful Dead Incredible vocals and musicianship 'Disraeli Gears' Cream Just a pinnacle of their talent 'Doors' The Doors Just a brilliant debut 'Foreigner' Foreigner One of many albums around this time who put out perfect debuts (Boston, VH ect) 'King Crimson' Red Stunning given the band was imploding as it was recorded
Martin my Man comming through again with another fantastic underrated Album.... No doubt That The Clash, Give Em Enough Rope Is super charged with Great songs beginning to end . It Rocks , It kicks Ass ! second favorite. From a top notch Punk Group... Way to go ! 😎👍
Bon Scott's last "Highway to Hell" for me fits as "perfect". Agree with Martin on "Rocks", no skipping tracks for that one. "Aja"! Great pic Pete. I was thinking of that one too.
If I may, I would like to suggest a "Perfect Compilation Albums" list for another videoclip. Buzzcocks - Singles Going Steady, would be a pick of mine. Thanks.
1- Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd), 2- Yes Album (Yes), 3- Illusion on a Double Dimple (Triumvirat), 4- Physical Graffiti (Led Zeppelin), 5- A Farewell to Kings (Rush). See parts 1, 3, 4, etc...
A few faves of mine. Either of the first 2 Skids records, no filler, all great tunes. The debut Danger Danger release. Yeah, if you're a sucker for the 80's glam/sleaze sound, this is something you need to own. I wore out this CD and every time I hear a tune from it, I almost need to listen to it again. And usually more than once. The debut from Fifth Angel. Holy cow, this is so great, imo. Again, another that I played ad infinitum/nauseum and can still listen to till this day start to finish without skipping. The Vain debut. Again, glam/sleaze but top to bottom, you'll never skip a track. Lastly, the solo effort from Don Dokken. Jesus, it's a masterpiece. I'm looking at what I am about to post and if you asked me to pick one of these to take to a desert island I wouldn't pick any of them. Because that would be Powerslave. Not because it's perfect, but because it has the perfect song. But if you held a gun to my head as which is more perfect than the others? Pull the trigger because they're all magical. OK, I think I'd prefer to stay on the right side of the dirt and ima go with Don Dokken which is so counterintuitive since I don't think I've seen or spent any more time with bands than Skid Row. That's how strongly I feel about this record. I know I have others but these were just off the top of my head. Maybe they'll make Act III...
Nice pull Martin! Fire of Unknown Origin is so balanced and has such inertia.. Buck's feedback on 'Heavy Metal, Black and Silver" ..might not be your tune, but it tees up "After Dark". One of the memorable track to track transitions from my youth. ...and I love the Heavy Metal soundtrack. I know Pete can't do "Open Arms", but by virtue of being on this soundtrack, it's tough for me to hate. Should the Heavy Metal Soundtrack be on this list?
Alan Parsons Project - The Turn of a Friendly Card. 1st groove to final fade.....perfection. Great choice,Supertramp, but for me,they had 3 perfect albums, crime, quietest moments and breakfast.
Thank you Pete and Martin for doing Part Two! Wonderful show! I thought of Rocks and Secret Treaties this time and I picked Aja the first time around. Here are my Part Two selections chronologically: Beatles - Rubber Soul (1965) John Prine - self-titled debut (1971) Eagles - Hotel California (1976) Journey - Escape (1981) Chris Whitley - Living with the Law (1991)
The Cars
One of the most amazing debuts of all time. The second side suite is stunning and still holds up today.
They were so far ahead of their time.
A timeless album.
A classic debut.
Check out Rick Beato’s show that deconstructs Just What I Needed. It gives a new appreciation to the Cars songwriting.
I had the Heartbeat City album. Loved The Cars.
@Luis Liebler WTF are you talking about?
You gotta be right with a profile picture like that. Also analog kid is a really underrated rush song
And their 2nd wasn’t far behind
Secret Treaties! Still a huge part of the live shows, almost 50 years later!
Queen - Sheer Heart Attack knocks my socks off from start to finish.
QUEEN AND QUEEN 2 are absolutely perfect albums, great choice Martin!

Queen's "Modern Times Rock n' Roll" totally kicks ass! Love that track, especially the live version.
Love the live version, sung by Fred- but love even more Roger’s vocal on the album, and on Queen At The Beeb.
I think Jailbreak by Thin Lizzy is about as close to perfect as you can get, would also say Animals by Pink Floyd is perfect
Yes to Animals 🐷

Thanks guys for all your hard work and effort.
Tommy Bolin-Teaser. Absolutely brilliant from beginning to end. I can listen to those songs over and over again and still discover new arrangements.
Both albums with Private Eyes actually
@@yuddimaja1827 I agree. Both stunning albums.
What could have been
Another 5 perfect albums . . .
U.K. - U.K.
Yes - 90125
B.O.C - Cultosaurus Erectus
Rush - Permanent Waves
Queen - Innuendo
For Yes I would chose Close to the Edge, 90125 has a lot of just ok songs in my opinion. It's nothing like most Yes albums anyway...
Black Blade!!
I dig Pete and Martin's videos on SoT. Can't wait for their next video idea. It sounds great!!
Love The Clash pick Martin! Such a Great band.
Cheers Pete.
1) Rush- Moving Pictures
2) Robin Trower- Bridge of Sighs
3) Yes- Close to the Edge
4) Return to Forever- Romantic Warrior
5) Steely Dan- Aja
Love Robin Trower
Really love and admire Martin's writing and his passion for spreading the gospel of Rock and Roll. Have enjoyed Pete's videos that I have viewed. I will check some more out.
PETE! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SHOWS! I WATCH MOST OF YOUR VIDEOS AND LOOK FORWARD TO THEM. AND I LOVE YOUR GUESTS.
SHAUL NAKAR
HAIFA
ISRAEL
Magnum On A Storytellers Night
Terrific show. Major agreements with Queen 1 , the Cars also! More! And I will not be embarrassed to say The Game is my #2. Ok I know Another one bites the dust...but at the time before it was all over high school gyms, then college basketball tournaments and eventually major stadiums....the albums is terrific, great productions, great songs, and oooh those harmonies. Close #2 to #1
Great BOC choices! I agree 100% with both of those.
When Pete and Martin did the first Perfect Albums video, the two albums that immediately came to mind for me were Aja and Fire of Unknown Origin. Glad to see both get some love here.
Great show and bonus points to Martin for the Chemaleons mention. Their first three albums are deadly.
What an excellent show....loved it.....Pardo and Popoff always killer.....
Jellyfish - Bellybutton
U2 - October
Emperor - In the nightside eclipse
I think this is a show but if not this show should officially be: Pardo n' Popoff
Yes!!!
Popoff isn't always in the co-pilot seat however. I think if they had a radio show it could be HUGE.
The perfect album series is a treat to watch and I’ve discovered so much stuff that I’d probably never would have got around to. Thanks for this series, hope there are more parts to come (this got answered at the end!)
Led Zepppelin iv comes first to my mind as a perfect album...
The 2nd is the perfect one imo
Never really been a big fan of Black Dog. I think its good but not for me all the time. Favorite track is battle of evermore
@@PepsiPepe That's just silly
You could say that for every Led Zeppelin album…
@@aviationlba747 Only HOTH !
Never thought I'd hear The Stranglers being mentioned on this channel (God bless Popoff). I'd argue their first album has no poor songs. Including their 'prog' epic Down in the Sewer.
Stranglers were awesome!
Manic Street Preachers was also a surprise.
I think Aural Sculpture is the coolest album on earth.
Chameleons! great pull! One of my favorites - bought "What Does Anything Mean Basically?" on a whim in '85 and I've been a big fan since. At the time it would have been one of the first 10-12 CDs that I bought - still bought vinyl after that but pretty soon converted to all CD.
Pink Floyd- Animals
Iron Maiden- Seventh Son
Rush- Grace Under Pressure
Blue Oyster Cult- Fire Of Unknown Origin
Death- Human
Loved this episode, guys - I typically may not be in agreement because you’re so much more into heavy metal and punk than I am, but PETE!! That number 1 pick made me gasp, as I absolutely love that album myself.
Thanks guys for all the recommendations and comments, you always talk about groups and albums that I may have missed in my 60 years, so I always make a point of checking out most of those picks I’m not so familiar with. Many people out are searching for great music from new bands but there’s tons of great music under our noses that we’ve just never noticed before. Look back, dig deep and you’ll find it in abundance!
Great show again gentlemen! Love the picks and the discussion on totally amazing albums.
The Aerosmith, Dream Theatre and especially Supertramp making the list is very cool.
Floyd- Wish You Were Here,
Bowie-Ziggy

SecretTreaties is my fave BOC.I also like Mirrors and FOAUO.Great vid,as usual, guys.Keep em coming🙂
Great choice Martin with the Clash..killer album
I love that Manics album as well, played it to death in the late '90s. As someone who loved a lot of the Britpop bands, including Oasis, I find it hard to separate them from that crowd myself. Here's a Britpop band that I bet Martin likes - Kula Shaker. What a great band.
100 % kula shaker, that is very good stuff really
Everything must go is a masterpiece!
Love your mention and your take on the Manics, Martin!
The discussions you have with Martin are absolutely spectacular Pete. I am very glad that you have turned them into a weekly thing since it's always a blast to listen to you two talking. Keep up the great work!

I play Motörhead’s Ace of Spades start to finish
Absolutely, all their classic line-up albums work for me.
Yeah! This is a perfect concept album and the concept is: "Make no prisoners!"
And Overkill is also perfect
AC/DC - Highway to Hell
Blind Guardian - Nightfall in Middle-Earth
Mercyful Fate - Don't break the Oath
Nightwish - Dark Passion Play
great blind guardian i think lmaginations is also superb er all there albums are fantastic
Nightfall in Middle earth and DBTO, right on! Two that are so important to me , and it sounds like i really need to go check some Nightwish , i keep hearing good things and i see on this list, I'm probably gonna find a little treasure thats gotten lost in the great dark forest of great music, it happens
Please keep doing these. And thank you for doing so.
1. Highway to Hell - AC/DC
2. (Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd) - Lynyrd Skynyrd
3. Revolver - The Beatles
4. Stained Class - Judas Priest
5. Who's Next - The Who
Skynyrd’s debut is absolutely amazing. Love it. That, The doors’, Boston’s, the Cars’, and Van Halen’s debuts are my top 5 favorite debuts of all time. All genuinely perfect albums with no weak tracks on any
Nice list. Stained Class is my favorite on your list.
All around great choices again 👌
loved it when martin pulled out everything must go album out. what a brilliant album. it has also got a song which would have been a great pick from another one of your previous shows which was killer closing songs on a album. the song i say is no surface but all feeling
"The Chameleons" 'Strange Times' wow wow wow one of my favorites and of course "Script Of the Bridge' also very cool live band
Great band! Wasn‘t expecting some love for post-punk! Pleasant surprise! 😀
@@matma84 When he held up the cd cover i thought good choice and maybe a bit left field for this channel .Still stands up as a truly great band /albums ,underrated.

6- Pat Benatar- Crimes of Passion
7- Heart- Dreamboat Annie
8- Bob Dylan- Blood on the Tracks
9- Bruce Springsteen- Born to Run
10- Steppenwolf- Slow Flux so underrated and forgotten ( My contrarian choice for Martin Lol)
1. ELP- Trilogy
2. Metallica- ...And justice for all
3. UK- UK
4. Return to forever- Where have i known you before
5. Genesis- The lamb lies down on broadway (Never understood why a lot of people dismiss the second half of the album or think it's any less spectacular than the first, a perfect journey from start to finish IMO)
Another great video by you two guys!
Big shout out to Martin for mentioning The Manics this week and Waterboys last week. Both HUGE in the 80s and 90s respectively. Shame they're unknown in North America relatively.
Love the BOC love!!! And totally agree!!!
Cool to hear Martin talk about some of his favorite alternative stuff. Love that Chameleons album.

Doobie Brothers - The Captain & Me...could have picked Vices are now Habits too...those early albums were gems
Jethro Tull -Songs from the Wood...JT has maybe 4 perfect albums
Supertramp- Crime of the Century- crisis/what crisis is great too

@@ronoakes1131 it's a great list. I had a crazy list on here that people might look at and say "what?"
Anyway this was fun!
Awesome!
Two perfect albums from one group, Dark Side Of The Moon and Animals.
Money prevents Dark Side from being perfect for me.
Yeah what’s up with these guys and Floyd and Zep.....craziness no mention
Nevermind Martin finally did lol
Loved the 2 almost out of the gate BOC picks! 2 mammoth albums with incredible songs.
Martin's Fire of Unknown Origin pick is my favorite too! What an album!
Images and Words....it pops up in most positive lists. Excellent!
Just listened to this episode - great choices !!!
Love "The Marshall Plan"
I agree and he also said Divine Wind is filler lol
@@ezioauditore7427 Agree. Divine Wind is not a filler at least in my opinion
'Showtime, Storytime' Nightwish Perfect performance and amazing energy on every track
'Workingman's Dead' Grateful Dead Incredible vocals and musicianship
'Disraeli Gears' Cream Just a pinnacle of their talent
'Doors' The Doors Just a brilliant debut
'Foreigner' Foreigner One of many albums around this time who put out perfect debuts (Boston, VH ect)
'King Crimson' Red Stunning given the band was imploding as it was recorded
Hi Guys. Martin Nice Y & T shirt. I agree with most of your picks especially Restless and Wild and Secret Treaties.
Thanks for turning me on to the UFO album at the end. Graci
Queen doesn't need any defending.Amazing band.Funny thing about it,no one can get queen sound down.Cover bands try right,Aye😀❤
Martin my Man comming through again with another fantastic underrated Album.... No doubt That The Clash, Give Em Enough Rope Is super charged with Great songs beginning to end . It Rocks , It kicks Ass ! second favorite. From a top notch Punk Group... Way to go ! 😎👍
Absolutely amazing band.
Bon Scott's last "Highway to Hell" for me fits as "perfect". Agree with Martin on "Rocks", no skipping tracks for that one. "Aja"! Great pic Pete. I was thinking of that one too.
Highway to Hell, their best album and a great pick!
If I may, I would like to suggest a "Perfect Compilation Albums" list for another videoclip. Buzzcocks - Singles Going Steady, would be a pick of mine. Thanks.
Yes!
1- Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd), 2- Yes Album (Yes), 3- Illusion on a Double Dimple (Triumvirat), 4- Physical Graffiti (Led Zeppelin), 5- A Farewell to Kings (Rush). See parts 1, 3, 4, etc...
Crime of the Century is a masterpiece - great choice! When played loud with an amazing sound system, it is stunning.
Trying to find it on LP. For that very reason. Can’t find it and I’ve been looking for a month
Totally agree on Turn. It's fantastic every single minute it runs.
Thank you Pete and Martin for doing Part Two! Wonderful show! I thought of Rocks and Secret Treaties this time and I picked Aja the first time around. Here are my Part Two selections chronologically:
Beatles - Rubber Soul (1965)
John Prine - self-titled debut (1971)
Eagles - Hotel California (1976)
Journey - Escape (1981)
Chris Whitley - Living with the Law (1991)
