Your shampoo bars are awesome! I made lotion bars yesterday that has tallow. I rendered the tallow and then infused it with lavender I had forgotten about. They turned out very nice. Keep us updated on how you are enjoying the shampoo bars.
Buster is so funny! Great idea of including him in your videos, a highlight! Always look forward to seeing him. I have a Maremma and just love their personalities and happy faces.
Oh, interesting about the shampoo ingredient. I was just listening to an interview by a small soap maker and was inspired to buy tallow soap for my hair and everything.
Had some dandelion jelly, for the first time, yesterday on a biscuit. Delicious 💯💜 Made by my Landlord's wife. And what my Landlord's wife did Was put it back on the stove and heated it back up and added another box of pectin. Taste fantastic. Then she put that back into the canning jars. She and her husband decided that 2 boxes of pectin are needed for each batch.
Use the syrup on pancakes, waffles and ice cream! I just collected some dandelions yesterday to freeze dry so I can make a salve and some jelly later on.
Collagen is also helpful for hair regrowth. I have noticed a difference since I started taking it. I usually get 9-10 grams per day. I add mine to my milk kefir or hot tea every morning.
Regarding the question in the opening about the name "dandelion": It comes from French "dent-de-lion", literally "tooth of lion", I think referring to the jagged, tooth-shape of the leaf. In Spanish, it is called "diente de león"...
Buster was really putting on a show haha! My goats are like Clover. They will eat stuff out of my hand but as soon as it touches the ground it's game over. Even if I pick it back up and pretend I didn't drop it they know lol! Also, I love Pretty Windy!!
I had another one kid this morning, around 6 am. Good thing I heard the babies when I stuck my head out. She had them on a hillside, not a good spot. I relocated them into the runin on a bed of soft hay. This is true to form with this doe, she likes to kid in less than ideal locations. At least they were alive and appeared healthy. I will take a closer look in a little bit when I feed. Another problem with your hair could be not getting enough protein. Women have a tendency to eat less meat than they really need. I was surprised to find out it was true for me a few years back.
The babies are gorgeous. I love the little girl. She is very pretty. What a happy Buster. He has still spring in his steps. Thank you for sharing. Love and Blessings to you all. ❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏 Doris, Penrith 🇦🇺🦘
As a soaper, congratulations on your shampoo bars! We've had our for over a year and love them! (As a side note, your soap should really be ok to use after it saponifies if the lye/oils ratio is ok. The wait time will actually let it just last longer by hardening). Can't wait to see what you think when you shampoo.
Our dandelions haven’t started blooming yet but I’m going to definitely try making jelly! I made some shampoo bars out of rosemary and horsetail infused olive oil. We have a TON of horsetail that grows on our property. But I made the mistake of adding shea butter to my recipe and it makes my hair oily. But it makes a great bar of regular soap!! Can’t wait to see Clover’s babies!
I also love seeing Buster. He reminds me of my Juno, she is an 8 year old Great Pyranese. 40 days til kiddong season for me, I am nervous and excited. Last year I had just one ND kid (all went smoothly) but this year I have 4 NDs due to kid within a week of each other.
Love her name, it fits right in with your theme and suits her well too! Both of Baerli's kids look so stinking cute and adorable bouncing around, they're so tiny compared to the rest haha. At least you and the kids had fun making the dandelion jelly, even if it didn't quite turn out. Clover was so funny in suddenly not wanting the dandelion flowers anymore once they were on her side of the fence. Soap bars look good, would love to hear how you like them once you start to use them. Buster is such a sweet and super happy dog! 💚💚
Oh my goodness. Those baby goaties❤❤❤❤. The soap is good to use technically after 24 hours. However curing makes the bar harder and last longer. If you don’t mind can you email me your shampoo bar recipe. I want to try that. I have multiple chemical sensitivity and right now clean my hair with just acv and essential oils. I make a dandelion “honey” it is so good in teas and on pancakes etc. hope that helps. Much love and blessings dear.
"Alfalfa, also called lucerne, is a perennial flowering plant in the legume family Fabaceae." So, not in the brassica family, but I do think those sprouts looked an awful lot like alfalfa I have sprouted in trays before. :) Loved seeing the littles testing their springs!
@@SageandStoneHomestead omg! I was watching EWE GOAT TO BE KIDDING, and her Doe had 5 babies. 3 boys and 2 girls. They are so cute. I thought La Manchas only had one ore two babies. Hmmmmm. lol. Have a wonderful day with your wonderful family. ❤️❤️❤️🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐭🐭🐭🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔etc. etc. lol.
Let me know how the shampoo bars work for you. I have found sls soap is the only type that works for me, I tried all natural shampoos for many years and my hair health was so bad, moved to sls containing soap a few months ago and my hair finally looks healthy. Id love to find something natural that actually works.
@@SageandStoneHomestead looking forward to seeing the process! I’d love to try making soap. I’m especially interested in trying to make goats milk soaps. My skin and hair do well with goats milk soaps.
We probably will never go carnivore, there's something about nixing whole food groups that just doesn't sit right with me! I know it can kickstart something positive for some, but we generally don't have big issues at all with the way we eat.
Omg! Those babies ate sooo cute!😍

He was in such a spunky mood !!❤
Привет дорогая! как круто! а у нас еще снег лежит, но уже пахнет весной))

I've REALLY loved tallow in everything!

Great ideas!!
Buster is so adorable!
Love 💕 Thank you all 💕
Those look like some happy rabbits getting the dandelion leftovers lol
Very!! 🤩
Ahh that tease at the end! Can't wait! I think pectin is in the seeds.
That makes sense!
Buster was whispering lol.
Yes!!

Sweet babies ❤ lookong forward to seeing clovers babies. Our next doe is due this weekend. So exciting!
Just moving here to southern Missouri, I just realized…. I haven’t seen any dandelions here. So weird!
Hopefully soon!! They should be there.
Hello!
I was not surprised Clover delivered early with how she was acting. Glad all is well!
Your kids playing and helping on a sunny day ❤
We all just love the warm sunny days of spring!

I've used it once and so far so good!!
Another beautiful video!! I love your style Heather. ❤️👍❤️
Thank you so much!
Pretty Windy is beautiful! The baby bunnies eating the dandelions are so cute!❤ Love seeing all the babies this time of year.
love the baby goats as always! I started getting hair loss from me always putting my hair up. cut it shorter to give it a rest and seemed to help lol.
Interesting! This is the wrong time of year for me to start wearing it down!

I'm glad the Shea butter bars are able to be used as regular soap!

The shampoo lathers really well and I'm so happy!!! With an ACV rinse after I think I've got a pretty solid hair routine going!
When I double batched the jelly it didn’t set. Single batch sat fine
I've read that can happen! So strange! I'll try a single batch next time.

My hair loss was from Covid.
I wondered about this too.

If the shampoo makes a difference, I'd like to try some if you make enough to sell, later.
For sure!
Great video, thank you for sharing with us, Liked and Subbed my new friends.
Welcome to the channel!! ❤️🐐
The shampoo bars only need to cure 3 weeks
Make sure to let cure in a box or wooden box with a towel on top
Your dandelions are beautiful
Thank you Kerri!!
I'm hoping to make my own shampoo bars for the same reasons..just gotta find a good basic recipe.
Excited to see how they work for you 🙂
So far so good! They lather really well and clean well!
@SageandStoneHomestead Oh cool beans!
@Robin I tagged you in the recipe on Discord. If you want I can email it, send me an email! Sageandstonehomestead@gmail.com
@SageandStoneHomestead Thank you, Heather! I really appreciate that.
I will get on discord asap 🙂
☠️ to the Bradford pear tree
I know. There's some "volunteered" across the street probably from our tree :(
Did you at any point rinse those dandelion flowers before you put them in the jars?
No. The boiling water was enough sterilization for me personally!

Did you make a video of the soap making process? the recipe sounds like something I would like to try!!
No because I wasn't sure what I'd think of it. It's time to make more though and I plan to video the process this time!
@@SageandStoneHomestead looking forward to seeing the process! I’d love to try making soap. I’m especially interested in trying to make goats milk soaps. My skin and hair do well with goats milk soaps.
Does anyone else pregnant goats go ham on dandelions? That's the only time I've seen them demolish dandies. (Sorry from NY)
There are NONE in the pasture! I can only assume it's because they ate them up!!
Omg please report back if you notice any difference w your hair growth.
I will!!
Stop using shampoo! Also get on the carnivore diet! :D

thats rude and also dont judge what people eat all people are different it would be boring to be the same.
