Truly heartbreaking, hopefully her soul is at peace. Check in with loved ones and friends...I couldn't imagine the pain I would be in if this was one of my family members or friends. And for anyone suffering from depression or mental illness just know it's never too late to seek help. You are loved.
Did you ever get an update from the local news or local authorities on who this was and what happened?
She had a drinking problem and schizophrenia and she would disappear for 2 weeks at a time so when she was gone nobody really noticed
@@northeastgeorgiakayakfishi1194that’s so sad, may she rest in peace

Thank you for commenting
I think you did a good job in not filming close up and not putting to much attention to the person
Dumb q - what's the thing on the tip of his boat that turns side to side?
Trolling motor
That is actually a dedicated kayak motor that has remote control is electric and runs off a lithium battery
Electric fishing motor
Well, that shot the hell out of a good day! Damn! At least they where found! In no time at all, they would have been missing forever. You did good, and Im sorry you had to deal with that. You will never forget this day, thats for sure!
It sucked in a loss a big one at the end
I’m super late to this, but I’m actually a crime scene tech. We go to unalived people scenes and other sort of scenes. I’ve been to several suicides and two murders. It’s never easy seeing them Props to you for calling the proper authorities to help the family get some closure. I hope you don’t suffer much from this horrible thing that an innocent person should never see voluntarily.
Thank you for the nice comment
I don't react to crazy things like normal people seem to do . . you sound either cold or seem to be having some reaction. I'm always calm and don't get emotional, is something wrong with me? 😢
@@brent829everyone reacts differently to these things dude, I’m sure you’re fine. In fact, you’d prob be good in the medical field or the like bc of it. Not saying this is you BUT kids that grew up in stressful environments also tend to become the calm adults in emergency situations.
For me, it was not seeing the unalienable body. It was the smell that came with it. Once or twice a year, THAT smell will randomly hit my nose when I'm randomly traveling around the city or countryside.
@@brent829glad I’m not alone. My cousin was the only person I’ve found that reacted the same way to things that the ordinary person would be petrified to see. He became an EMT because of it and it ended up taking his life on the interstate while saving someone was hit by a semi truck. I was going to be an EMT but that has changed my mind. I hope you find your niche man Im working on finding mine.
Me an 18 year old male found a man at the bottom of my near by lake not to long ago i had to pull him out in the hopes of rescue though god did not intend it to be that way all the advice id give for the reacuring night mairs is talk about it bc they never go away .
I haven't got any nightmares but I find myself watching that video over and over again I know that's not healthy
How is it possible the hand is sticking up
Wow. Sucks. I know, ive found 3 in 3 different cities since 2020. My family is scared to go on any adventures with me anymore.
Like im some kind of magnet for morbid death.
I'm sorry for that friend. I hope it never happens again
@northeastgeorgiakayakfishi1194 thank you. Me too. On a positive note, the last one was here in Florida just about a year ago. After 20mins of straight CPR, he SURVIVED!
Seen the man since. Thanked me. Told him it's what we do as humans. Hope he'd do the same for someone else. Once he introduced me to his daughter and granddaughter. Said, "this is the man that saved my life"! Crazy, and thank God he pulled out of it. Has memory loss he said, but at least he's alive. The two before that had too much time pass before I'd stumbled upon them. Sad. We can't save everyone, but we can respect them when they're living and after they've passed. Bless you gentlemen, stay safe, and tight lines, wh?!
I find dead animals everywhere I go but never a human. Yet.

Has this child/woman been named yet? Ive looked for an update but cannot find one
Suffered from mental illness it was a woman
@@northeastgeorgiakayakfishi1194it's so hard to encounter this scene I'm sure. Seeing to it her remains were recovered was one of the last things anyone will do for her. Right place right time still extremely difficult to have to encounter.
I'd like to know what brand those kayaks are. I'd like to buy one with an electric motor
Thank you mark wilkins

I remember back 30 or 40 years ago a guy in a fishing tournament snagged a body... They had the game warden arrest him for fishing a baited hole as a joke
This was no joke
Mid 90s, My friend who was a teen at the time was fishing in the Columbia River and snagged someone's arm. I guess authorities searched but never found anything else or discovered who the arm belonged too.
you did everything the best you could, nobody ever anticipates coming across the macabre in real time.
Thank you friend
How sad of a find. Rip poor person 😢
Thank you for commenting and I hope it never happens again
@ horrible find! My uncle drowned and it was a horrific sight for my gpa to see. He was only 12. I hope the family has peace now.
It’s best not to go near a Body when you see one, immediately notify 911 and wait for Local Authorities!! God Bless You Sir, I am so sorry you came across the scene. Prayers for all involved
He had to make sure it was really a body before notifying authorities to avoiding wasting their time
So did you ever figure out the story to what happened?
Something ppl need to do in this situation is bring up Google maps and read off the GPS coordinates to dispatch. They can and do make use of the info. Had to do that when reporting a crashed car.
The dispatcher knew where I was
@@northeastgeorgiakayakfishi1194 didnt sound like it. i realize in this situation the persons dead so theres not much need to rush but in a situation where every second counts it could help speed things up.
If dispatcher knows the area it's probably faster just to use plain English

Found a body while workin a dairy farm in Oklahoma when i was 17, the cows were standing outbin the sun and not where they normally did in the tree shade, he was a white guy but was black when i found him, crazy find for a 17yo 😳
I've seen bodies at funerals but this is the first time I've ever found one. I think about it all the time and I find myself watching that video over and over again which is not healthy
did the other guy take a photo of the body
I think it was a nervous reaction but he deleted those pictures
How old is the gril look

Wish we could find how it happened and who the person is.

UPDATE??
She suffered from mental illness on her Facebook page her family was relieved she went to the Angels. She would disappear and then come back 2 weeks later so no one noticed her when she was gone
@ thanks for the update, that’s terrible, I hope your okay mentally, I know that wasn’t easy to come across, I’m sure that’s something you’ll never forget but just remember you helped her & her family an I’m sure that’s not what they wanted to hear but some don’t ever get the chance to say their goodbyes but you made this happen so good job buddy, I’ll pray for you and that family tonight no doubt

Maybe if you just read?
No way I would be eating any fish from that water for a while. You were fine on how you showed it.
I hope you watch the video to the end because you can see the tragic loss and thank you because I try to be respectful to the family and I knew this video was going to blow up even though I didn't want it to

I live in New York and this same thing has been happening in our county for quite some time. Couple kayakers just found a body few months ago. I have never seen a 💀 body before until moving to New York state. I've seen quite a few in the past 8 years. It's crazy. So sad for the victims. Hopefully this person didn't suffer.
It was suicide
Just saw this on Tictok 😢
I'm waiting to hear the CSI miami theme song.. but yeah, rest their soul. 😢
So sad. Poor soul
I'm always afraid it'll happen to me in all the remote areas I fish
I grew up in Miami and we always talked about it and we found trash bags with flies all over it and we joked about opening up but we never did. And I live in a tranquil rural town and this happened
Did yall find out who it was?
