7:18 FINALLY a remix that does the drums. Every other remix of this song completely misses it or puts them in extremely low volume, even the official Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl put it at extremely low volume
While gen 5 is my favorite, gen 1 has easily the best trainer battle theme, when I heard the newer part in FrLg's version of the song combined with gen 1's chiptune at 1:25 I got chills!! So awesome!!
Thanks! I felt like I had to mix the Gen 1 trainer battle theme somehow, since I had done it a few times already on the channel. That's why that particular section has references to the GSC, FRLG and Pokémon Stadium versions 😎 Makes me happy to see people catch those references :)
What if in an alternate timeline, Gen 1 introduced a female protagonist? With her design based on the beta girl from Capumon's early concept arts(where she wore similar clothes to beta Red's, but with curly hair and girly features).
But can we just take a moment to appreciate all the little details here? The mixing of the “trainers eyes meet” music? The combo of Gen 1 and Gen 2 Kanto battle theme? All the sound effects? HOW do you not have more subscribers bro?!?

The gen 5 low health music caught me off guard and I laughed at how nostalgic it was for me.
The victory theme having both the modern and gen 1 versions is a nice touch.
I love the transition at 8:22 going into 8:31 to B&W

Everyone talking about the FRLG portions added to the Kanto battle, but I am clamouring over the Stadium part.
Probably my favorite part as well 😎
Those menu selection sfx and the Pokemon cries are the icing on top to what makes these feel more immersive.
