I rode the Incline Railway with my parents when I was about 10 years old - over 50 years ago! I remember being very impressed with the whole experience. I wish the video didn’t swing around so rapidly at times, because it’s dizzying. It’s not like looking around for yourself, but since the funicular was destroyed in the 2013 fire, it’s the best we have, and is possibly the last record of that attraction. I’m sad that it isn’t there anymore.
I was there in July of 2019. Thanks to this video, I now know what those abandoned rails were for. I also captured in a photo the old coke machine that still sits down there. I hope they rebuild it!

We were talking about going down this in 2011, and now we're back with our kids.

An added bonus in catching the Royal Gorge Route Railroad while walking around at the bottom.
The park has done well in rebuilding post wildfire.

Traveling Tom 23.5K subscribers How many railroads are at or near the Royal Gorge in Colorado?
One miniature near the bridge and one standard gauge that goes through the canyon.
@@travelingtom923 Thank you. Have you made a video on the railroad that goes through the Royal Gorge canyon?
@@jamieolberding7731 I do have some videos including a cab ride. Working on finding that footage and uploading it.
