That Lancia Delta was my dream car as a kid. I still remember the first time me and my brother seen one and would take pictures. The owner was so happy to see someone appreciate it.
I hate to go against the grain, but they look better than they drive… I was looking to purchase one a few years back, and drove two. One of the few “don’t meet your hero’s” moments I’ve had.
Greetings from AUTOOL. We are glad to meet you at the exhibition and thank you very much for sharing AUTOOL. Look forward to seeing you again at the upcoming APPEX 😀
I am on the verge of getting rid of my Land Rover Discovery 2.0 emotional crisis vehicle, with the 2.0 Ingenium engine of disappointment, apologies and regrets. You both almost make me want to keep it……but my psychiatrist keeps intervening and all the mechanics are hiding. Rapidly becoming my favourite car UA-camrs 😊. From Dublin Ireland.
@@Vera_and_Christian 😂 Yes whilst it s very comfortable, capable and my wife loves it, unfortunately the engine is made from dark chocolate and liquorice all sorts! Not even Christian could fix it.
@@pauld4115 It is not so bad just the timing system then the high pressure diesel pump and some pistons are made of none existing long life materials .... nothing big to worry about. Once I got one like yours for a fix of lacking power..... some other shops did try first and made some changes without results..... some one made a tune up to the engine and it was still weak..... I did find a leaking hose to the turbo and it was flying again.
@@rvarsigfusson6163Hi Yup, sounds familiar, I have owned my Disco from new for 7 years, full dealer service on schedule. In that period of time it has had two engines, two windscreens (Bonding leak), two transmissions (Transmission confusion!), two thermostats and housing units, two inlet manifolds, two door handle actuators, and so on. Crazily JLR sells these with ridiculously long maintenance intervals. The life of the vehicle could be prolonged if it was properly serviced and inspected every 5-6k. For the first engine it was a mall crawler, school runs and shopping. That contributed to the DPF problems with many short trips. Second engine it became a motorway muncher which has helped greatly. However I think the fundamental issue is that this is a small four cylinder engine in a big heavy car. The soundtrack is awful, it couldn’t pull the skin off a bowl of custard. It struggles to drag itself out of bed. Yet somehow they will let you buy a tow bar!! When you add the tow bar, if a butterfly lands on it, the weight of this on its own could be terminal for the engine.
It was brilliant marketing when you decided to drop your episodes on Sunday morning. Always look forward to a leisurely Sunday breakfast with both of you, making me smile with your antics, allowing a welcome respite from the newspaper I wish had better news.
As usual enjoyable! What I noticed was when Christian was demonstrating the tools from China the female staff hovered in the background not knowing whether to get involved or just remain in the rear but what they did do was make sure that nothing found its way into his pocket.
Hi, we're the exact booth from your video, and we're actually from TAIWAN! Our staff stood arpund or behind the host was just trying to ask if the host needed any help or any product introductions.
You’ve got us well trained as I was here at 09:00 UK and then had withdrawal symptoms 🤣 Always enjoy your Sunday episodes - even my Wife asked how Christian and Vera were this morning (I kid you not)!!!
What a great show to visit. Hours of video needed on it. When you see the competition for German manufacturers these days from the East , turkey, US etc and Christian’s price comments it makes you think, the world is changing.
That was such a great episode on the trade show. It would be awesome to walk around with Christian and his wealth of knowledge on tools and machining equipment. Vera, those old VW Vanagons are worth so much money here in the US.
Refreshing to see such a video that is not boring. Very good dynamic between you two (as always) and very good editing work. I paid attention throughout the whole video. Thank you for your perspective on the show! Also, sorry for my desktop mechanic-like comment on last week's video. I didn't mean to sound that way. I didn't get a ❤ which concerned me. I am such a loyal follower that I know such comments don't get a ❤ from you. All the best from me to you all!
Surprise! What a great tools! No time to use any of them but it’s still enjoyable imagining what one can do with it. Thanks for the tour and witty comments.
Thank you, that was wonderful. I have to watch it again to revel in all the details, love trade shows but a German one is even better. Exhausting, but incredible. Glad you got fed Vera, and congrats on scoring a calendar in the end. Hope the weather is ok for you just now, I heard t has been raining...
Happy Sunday Vera and Christian. Electric vehicles are not the solution because combustion engines are not the problem…. That’s a T-shirt quote right there 🎉
Always make contacts at these events…. Hopefully Vera will get sponsored by lots of them and have all the rainbow coloured allen keys she wants and Christian gets the brake bleeders and walnut blaster and ratcheting flex head transfer case stubby spanner 👏 Great video… excitment and entertainment 👍
Good morning Vera & Christian 😊 Thanks for the tool exhibition tore 👍🏻 You even made it interesting to watch and as always full of fantastic humour 🤣 I can see new tools back at your garage next Sunday lol 😂 Vera was awesome as always 😍 x🏴
That was a really interesting trip around a trade show. Sadly my wife is unlikely to attend such an event even with the promise of a free calendar or sausage and chips! Thanks!
Glad to see you guys using Mannol. I use their oils in my car and both my motorcycles. But I only know of two others here in the UK who are using their products. Sure, there must be plenty, but i only know of two other people who use their stuff. And what an enjoyable video this was.
Good job guys. I never been so tired as walking around exhibition shows. So good training for Vera. Christian can use a mobility scooter in two years time
Ah ! Schenck balancing machines, used them in RollsRoyce back in the early ‘70s for the Avon aero engines, balancing the compressor wheels and shaft assembly to very close tolerances . Bit of nostalgia there 👍
Vera you have my support, i wear a T-shirt all year round come rain or shine even when the temps are in the minus, i don't even drive my car or truck with the heating on even in the winter.
You're just shy of 80,000 subscribers. When I started watching your videos, you had 25,000. +220% I think UA-cam sends you a lucite "silver" trophy at 100,000. Well done so far!

Hi guys I've been having problems with my prescription channel I have not been receiving your videos I have found out what it was and I straighten it out thank you LR Time 😊 💯👍😄
Great episode ! I really, really loved the air cooled Kombis ❤ I had 3 Kombis a couple of type 3's and a handful of beetles from a 56 oval to a 74 superbug but I gave up on VW when they gave up on air cooling and rear engine layout.
👍💪💪I had think there for a second, but you mean the T1 or T2, we call them Bullies. They are so cool and Philipp wants to have one so badly. So great that you had a couple of them, also we would take a T3 any minute. Chistian not so much. It would have hard time on our steep road up to our house. For us here in Germany, a Kombi is a station wagon type car. 🙋♀️
@@Vera_and_Christian Sorry for any confusion - in Australia we called the T2 a Kombi Van. T1 was mostly called Beetle and T3 were called sedan, station wagon or fastback depending on body style. I hope Philipp can find a good T2, they are getting hard to find over here now. I can imagine Christian really being frustrated by the lack of power of these old cars 😂
Saw the BYD Shark In the USA recently came up from Mexico, 1.6 ltr petrol engine that constantly charges the battery I believe or when the battery needs it 600 miles of range impressed with the interior as well, great video Vera & Christian really interesting
Frankfurt Messe is gigantic! - I have been there a few times for Musikmesse and ProLight&Sound as companies I work with exhibited there and I was on the stand - you can spend a week in there if a show takes up all the halls. Interesting video, maybe I will try and go to the next one (2026 did you say?). Was the Land Rover large enough to take all your freebies home? 😉 Liqui Moly is very good - I have just used their Ceratec in the oil to reduce friction.
That looks like a really cool day. Not sure if you were actually in Germany though or Taiwan or China lol. Thanks for another wonderful video! Christian, I just read that many car makers are scaling back their electric vehicle manufacturing. Wise move I think as you summed it up perfectly.
The Taiwanese/ Chinese tool exhibitors are displaying their products to brands like Gedore, Stanley, names like that. And to Autoparts store. This trade show is not adressed at the enduser, like us. We were there because of Christians job. 👍🙋♀️
Morning guys , different Sunday today , we are taking my 90yr old father to his 1st football match for 30+ yrs So if any Geordies are watching this this morning if you see a 90yr old in a wheelchair pitch side at the Wolves game later in a flat cap wearing a Newcastle shirt and scarf with a matching Phillipino carer that’s him 😂😂😂😂😂

They were also my dream car as a kid. I saw one in the flesh at a small car show in Rochdale, UK. It was a burgundy colour. I was in love 😂
