This is such a great in depth live stream. I'm sharing it with family and friends. One of cats Sugar had cancer and passed away in 2018. We thought we had made the adjustments to good food. Last week we found out current cat Tiger had cancer, after really looking at all the ingredients with sime if the food we were feeding her we see they are not as natural as we thought. Now we've switched to a raw food diet. Plus I've gotten as many of supplements you recommended in anther video for cats with cancer. I can only be myself for not looking deeper and being more vigilante. Pre 2018 she ate normal commercial cat food and kibble, she was always a little overweight. A tough lesson to learn. I wish I'd seen this yeas ago!

I have been feeding Honest Kitchen Cat food. Second ingredient is dehydrated sweet potato, and dehydrated potatoes. Now I am questioning this diet, it doesn’t seem right
I have a Mama cat who is have problems nursing her kittens.Do you have a cat food recipe for lactating cats, and also for kittens as they are weaned in a few weeks. Kittens are 1 week old. Only 2 kittens survived out of 5. Could it have been from the mama cats diet. It said for all stages of life. Crude Protein min 42 % crude fat 28% crude fiber 2.5%. How do I figure how much carbohydrate is in it?
Excellent video. Thank you. My one concern though is regarding fish: with fish being so high in iodine, isn't that a concern for cats, being prone to hyperthyroidism?
Just don't feed fish all that often. Maybe once or twice a week. Cats can eat a huge variety of protein sources.
As cats don't naturally consume poultry, fish, beef or pork in the wild; why don't we see cat food made from mice, rats, rabbits and snakes. Would that not fit their dietary needs better? Just say'n. :-)
How do I get my cat to start eating soft food? He loves his kibble. I’m trying to get him off because he has already start getting crystals when he pee’s. Please help! Thank you in advance❤
Okay so you're saying the cat can eat raw meat and fish obviously. I'm feeding a little stray kitten that was skin and bones and I just want to give it the best I can give it.. also can cats eat raw chicken legs or chicken wings? Wouldn't that be kind of like eating a bird they caught?
They can. That's not a balanced meal by itself. They also need organ meats, a bit of fiber. You can buy balanced raw meals or might want to feed a canned food to be sure the vitamins and minerals are being provided at least until the kitty is doing better.
Thank you for feeding a stray kitty! No matter what, a can of cat food would be better than trash scraps strays find.
I just switched my cat to all raw today. She loved it! Cats do love raw meat, my older cat who’s passed loved licking raw meat when I wasn’t looking.
I have been giving my cats canned with tuna in it everyday. I guess I better give them chicken or something instead. They are very picky and they like the tuna. 🤦♀️
I am trying to transition both my cats to raw from Darwin’s and I cannot get them to even remotely be interested in eating raw food. 😩
If they are eating kibble now you have to go in stages. First you get them used to eating kibble twice a day. He put the food down for 15 minutes so if they don't eat you put away. After they're used to that then you start adding canned food to the kibble, and gradually increase the canned until you're feeding only canned twice a day. then add in raw gradually, until you are eventually feeding just raw twice a day. it took me two weeks to transition my cats this way. If they are already eating canned, then skip the kibble part and go with canned and gradually increase the amount of rock. cats just take a while. Dogs you can transition overnight cold turkey and use Toughlove but you can't do that with cats.
Have you tried Steve’s Real Food Quest? I switched my 10 year old cat a few months ago. He likes all the varieties, except the whitefish. His favorite is the pork.
