Thank god I purchased this Total Gym over 10 years ago. Since we are sheltered in place in California, the gyms are closed so I'm finally setting it up 10 years later.
@@keshondagause3322 Love it! Can do resistance, circuit training, & cardio. So simple. When not in use, it only takes up a little over 1 square foot of floor space. Hated going to the gym. Can toss in a load of laundry between sets!
Shout out to Total Gym through the Coronavirus 3 days in. Iv had it for about 7 years but I haven't used it in a while I've been at a gym man I'm glad I got it now
I’m a longtime Soloflex user who recently switched to TotalGym. I’m 65 and not as flexible as I once was, and the Soloflex was getting hard to use. No such problems with TotalGym, it is great for seniors.
May I ask how you're liking it? I was looking for a comment that wasn't that old. And yours is only 7 months old. I'm waiting for mine and I'm super excited. :)
@@edyann I like it, I have no problems using it. You just lie down on the TotalGym and do each exercise. As much as I loved my Soloflex, it just got too hard squeezing under the bar. With the TotalGym, you just increase the bench incline to make the exercises harder. But even a “pullup” at max incline is only about 50% of your body weight, so it’s still achievable. I can do maybe one real pullup on a bar, but on TotalGym at max incline, I can do 10-12. The only downside is that I like tracking my progress, and it’s not so linear with TotalGym.

I set it up with just a few changes and common sense. I watched the video a couple times, and looked at manual. Took my time about it. I bought a 1400. Before video and manual...I was doubtful, now I think it was fairly easy. Was different from video. No big deal tho.
ok.. we need an updated video for the total gym supreme. I can't get the vertical column to lift. There is a spring loaded pin, but even when i pull it out i cannot get the bar to lift. This is so annoying with these products. There should be a DVD for setting it up,
+pam smith The same concept applies from the XLS to the FIT to any of the QVC models. You pull the pin on the tower, pull up or push down to the desired level and push the tower in at the same time.
Please make a new video to ASSEMBLE FULLY the new PLATINUM PLUS Total gym. I would greatly appreciate it. I got it from QVC and it does NOT come fully assembled, hardly far from it. So disappointed. I have a bad back and fibromyalgia and no one to help me.

I purchased my Total Gym and was apprehensive if I would be able to assemble the little bit that needs it. It only takes reviewing the written material, sorting the attachments (because I am handy person challenged sometimes), I also watched this video. ANYONE who says it's difficult and they can't do it, is an idiot. ANYONE who says it belongs in a scrap yard, is an idiot. If you put on your adult britches and engage that muscle between your ears, you will be fine. HAPPY exercising!! 😎
I got the total gym for my birthday, and it is still sitting in my basement in several pieces. The manual sucks, and me and my husband, both, tried to put it together and both of us failed. Since it is just sitting there not being used I am thinking I should pack it up and send it back.
I am trying to change the position of my total gym from the slide position( inverted, complete slide) to a upright seat bench I need manual instructions, pictures I think im missing pins can someone help?
I wish total gym had an app that tracked things like other body training programs - I don’t want to go to the gym with having a total gym at home but need the direction
There are two pins that keep the column in place. One with a yellow knob, and one with a yellow tag (safety pin). Make sure both of them are pulled out! Let me know if that works or not!
I have the Fit Max. I’ve had the glideboard get stuck a couple times doing jump squats, but otherwise it’s great. One question: I keep getting black marks on the rails from the rollers; how do you clean it off? I’ve used soap and water and it only gets part of it off.
The friggin column won't raise! I have a fit max and I pull on the green handle and try to raise the resistance level, but the thing seems completely stuck and refuses to lift!
I got mine used and there’s a problem with the bar. It’s off and can’t seem to fix it. Need to call the phone number for troubleshooting and hopefully they can help me fix it so I can finally use it.
Received today. Thank you for this video or I would have had issues. I suppose I can go right into squats and go from there, However, my cables are twisted when attached and unattached. HOW do I untwist them???? Is this something that I can do or was it a factory error? Please advise. Thank you!
Same happened to me, but then I observed more carefully the black metal handle for positioning the height. When at the desired height, rotate that handle down and the mechanism should snap into the holes in the vertical column. *Then* you insert the pin; not sooner.

Not Simple! The stupid PIN to raise the resistance levels is STUCK! I can not even lift up the Support Column. Geez, do I need to return the entire machine?!?
This us 2016. Why isn't there a DVD that comes with the Total Gym supreme? I have the other pieces that came with this equipment. It has been 1 week and still have not used the gym. If the instructions in the booklet were clearer, I wouldn't be writing this. I think it's rediculous, I'm wasting time trying to find an updated UA-cam video.

I don't think mine is that easy to assemble it's the X-Force which is the low cost Costco one will see I've had it in storage for a year or so I have forgotten how to set it up

need to position the camera underneath so you can see where you are attaching the pulley.

You can untwist easily. Unhook at top & reattach
My Guide board came off the track completely and I don’t know how to fix it it’s stuck I cannot move it any suggestions
