I’m glad this port went back to the drawing board and alter stuff to make it more playable cuz Arcade is just downright psychotic
@ANTHONYACUNA1 It's a sort of Mario "spin-off" from Mario's very early days (the early-to-mid 80s), that started with an Arcade game, VS. Wrecking Crew that I believe was a game where you have two players vs each other, and later a singleplayer level-based game on NES. It wasn't originally supposed to even be a Mario game until Miyamoto suggested using Mario and Luigi as the characters. It's basically a puzzle game of sorts, where you can't jump but you can climb ladders and destroy stuff with your hammer and your goal is to destroy all the walls in a level. You know Builder Mario from the Super Mario Maker games? He originates from Wrecking Crew, and in fact the Mario Maker 2 Builder Mario powerup where you can swing a hammer to destroy walls is a direct callback to Wrecking Crew and functions similarly. That character Spike who was in the Mario Movie as the Bros.' ex-boss is also from Wrecking Crew.
Since Switch 2 isn't coming til 2028, I'm sure Nintendo will find something to release for Switch in the next four years. Don't get excited though, it ain't Prime 4 and it ain't Odysee 2. The best we can hope for is more overpriced remasters of 3DS games and maybe a couple more B-tier releases like Princess Peach.
IT has less chance of getting translated than even Mother 3, But Marvelous: Another Treasure Island was a game I desperately wanted when it popped up in Nintendo Power, and it's finally playable on Japanese NSO. Glad to see it get some recognition.
Meanwhile (Inhales Deeply), Titles like: Super Mario Land 1, Wario Land 1 & 2, Donkey Kong Land Trilogy, Donkey Kong Country GBC, Donkey Kong Country GBA Trilogy, Metroid Zero Mission, Diddy Kong Racing, Donkey Kong 64 and Banjo-Tooie aren't in the service, but those "classic" are?! except for maybe Wrecking Crew 98, watta heck even is those games?! who would even want them over the Glorious titles i mentioned? This is so depressing, man.
Nah, Nintendo knows what we really want are ancient shovelware garbage that nobody will ever actually play. Maybe in three more months they'll add three more random games and we'll just have to pray that they wind up being 'generous' enough to grant us something decent from their sporadic-release classic game lottery. All the while Nintendo will be sure to put you in prison for 30 years if you ever get impatient enough to download a ROM of a game you actually want, which can be done in two seconds on literally any modern device.
@@jfletch7110 I'm talking in a general sense. But even so, it wouldn't take much effort to just dump those ROMs onto the service. It's obvious Nintendo wants to trickle them out deliberately because they are terrified of giving their customers 'too much'. Not like they aren't just going to wipe the slate clean and start from scratch when the Switch 2 comes out (in like, 2028), at a dozen NES games, and then start the trickling process all over again (but now the NSO service will cost at least twice as much).
A generally solid enough lineup this month. Super R-Type is a cool shmup from the SNES's first year in the US, Amazing Hebereke looks like a fun time (Coming to think about it, isn't this the third Hebereke thing we got this year? That's weird. Not complaining, but it's odd to see the series pop up three times now.) and Wrecking Crew 98 is quite a nice surprise to see! Nothing bad here. Just some hidden gems to check out.

Wrecking Crew '98?! Okay, that's a SUPER deep cut right there. I'm glad it's now available for those with an NSO subscription, especially since to my knowledge this is the first time the game has seen an official overseas release! Amazing Hebereke also looks cute 'n chaotic; I should probably try it sometime!
I guess Nintendo forgot all about the hundreds of NES games that they could be including...
Hey, it takes years for Nintendo to dump a single ROM onto their service. Just look how much effort they go into enhancing every one of these games to justify the absurdly long wait and drip feed.
Oh wait.
Yeah
most of Nintendo's good stuff for NES is already there. As for Third Party stuff, their need permission.@@N.i.E.M.O
Super R-Type, Super Hard
Now we need the original Super Mario RPG.
Why ask for that if we already got the Switch remake?
But there's already an HD remake for Nintendo Switch. Putting the original would defeat the purpose of the remake.
@@MaxHuniProductions We have Link's Awakening DX despite we have an HD remake of that game.
I never knew Wrecking Crew got a sequel. It looks fun.
it was japan exclusive
Wasn't as fun as the original Wrecking Crew game in my opinion, but it was still fun nonetheless.
Amazing Hebereke was already available on the Japanese Switch Online, and they're finally bringing to the US version.
Maybe they'll do that with other Japan-exclusive games in the future? (e.g. Mother 3???)
Most of the JP titles on US NSO have little to no text that needs to be read to understand the game.
Mother 3, on the other hand, is a JRPG.
@@TwinDragonsOfChaosThis. Might as well give us the Fire Emblems and SMTs if we're gonna ask for untranslated RPGs
@@LakituAl Well, at this rate, Nintendo could just let another developer do a remake of Mother 3 for Nintendo Switch without causing any legal issues. I'm surprised they haven't even taken down the fan-translation yet.
If these NSO uploads have taught me anything, it's that I should watch the video, and IMMEDIATELY click to expand, so I don't see the unnecessarily mean comments.
(Leaving this comment made it difficult to avoid reading any, but I managed to do it. 😅)
Also for gameboy we need Tetris 2 donkey Kong 94 and super mario land 1
Definitely want to play super mario land again
It should've gotten a remake
Super R Type is nice but I wish we could get Gradius 3, I hope we get more N64 games
I think Gradius 3 is on Arcade Archive
@@Doggieworld3Show I know , I have it but the snes version is different
@@JoeyJ0J0Just like Double Dragon 1 & 2 on the NES is vastly different than the arcade.
@@JoeyJ0J0it is a different game and actually notably easier than Arcade since ngl a lot of the game’s ideas is nice but the crystal cubes can go suck dick, this game suffers from problematic hit boxes and can kill you right away which barriers isn’t useful, having the worst Moai boss in the entire franchise. I’m glad this port went back to the drawing board and alter stuff to make it more playable cuz Arcade is just downright psychotic
I want my Banjo Tooie and I want it now! Or at least later this year! I’m willing to wait for greatness!
Wrecking Crew ‘98! Awesome!
Ah, Super R type. My childhood.
Not gonna lie I didn't even know Wrecking Crew had a sequel.
YESSSSS HEBEREKE!! PEAK HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!!
I completely forgot Wrecking Crew even existed
*insert comment on how the Japanese version has all the Final Fantasies, Mother 3 HD & Knuckles and it also payed for my college tuition*
Oh man, Super R-Type brings me back to when I would play with my aunt when I was little
Pokémon Games... Why are none of them in switch? 🤔
You might want to ask Game Freak and The Pokémon Company for that.
If Wrecking Crew was so good why isn’t there a Wrecking Crew 2?
Wrecking Crew 98’:
I am never getting these two minutes of my life back
Good
good for you buddy.
They aren’t gonna add mother 3 in the US let’s face reality
Brother
I'm still waiting for silksong.
Awsome collection!! I always wanted to play this version of Wrecking Crew! Hopefully the SNES version of Wario's Woods comes soon!
Yeah as well as Mario is Missing
Now I want a Nintendo direct to happen sometime this month. I don’t know what Nintendo games will come after Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD.
I bet for a Mario &Luigi Remake für late summer or autumn.
They're scraping past the bottom of the barrel and giving us the sand underneath.
Half of those are Rare games
@@N.i.E.M.Owhy would they bring the gba versions of dkc if the switch already has the snes versions?
@@jfletch7110
I'm talking in a general sense.
Third? What was the other? I only also know about "Ufouria 2".
Wouldn’t be great to buy these like we did with the VIRTUAL CONSOLE?
Y'all really are entitled
Yes its true
@@vanessabarnes2869 Wanting to buy instead of being a renter is entitled? Make it make sense.
@@BrutallyDigital Buying digitally is still just a long-term rental. The only way you wouldn't be renting it is if it were a physical release.
"Entitled" for wanting to own your games.
Yeah, we gotta be 'true' Nintendo fans and eat up whatever slop Nintendo farts out and we have to like it.
When are we getting Mario's Picross for the Game Boy? I love Picross and I've already 100%ed Mario's Super Picross. I need my fix, Nintendo!
Mother 3 should be added. I also would like to see Banjo-Tooie be added to the N64 Online Service.
The problem with localizing Mother 3 is the legal issues. I think Nintendo could just let another developer do a remake of Mother 3 for Nintendo Switch without causing any said issues. I'm surprised they haven't even taken down the fan-translation yet.
@@MaxHuniProductionsreggie himself has said that no content in mother 3 was responsible for a lack of localization, it was purely a business decision. Most likely due to nintendo viewing the mother series as not “profitable” outside japan.
@@powerfullpummel6417 Well, that's on them at this point. I'm sure a different developer could handle the remake regardless.
Yeah as well as Super Smash Bros 64
I’ve never even heard of Wrecking Crew ‘98, it’s cool it’s released
It was a Japanese exclusive game, so that's why.
@@SALTYTOAD00 makes sense, idk why it was though
@@MightyWolfTV Maybe because it came out in 1998, and at that time, the Super Nintendo was already super outdated hardware compared to the Nintendo 64, PlayStation, and SEGA Saturn.

so that first game is what all those human fall flat/gang beasts/party animals games are based on but nobody knew it
I softmodded my Switch for Mother 3 in english
Don't tell Nintendo, they'll sue you into oblivion and put you in prison longer than Nintendo will even exist as a company.
good
Even as a seasoned Nintendo fan, I had no idea Wrecking Crew '98 existed!
Where is the Original Super Mario RPG, SNES Wario's Woods, SNES Yoshi's Cookie and Chrono Trigger?
Please don't ask for Mario RPG or Chrono Trigger, Square Soft will never allow Nintendo them to put their games on the service.
Bros asking for Mario Rpg like they didn’t make a remake for it??

@@Doomy1014 Um yeah I do get it otherwise I would be asking for Final Fantasy 4, 5, 6 and Mystic Quest which won't happen because of the Pixel Remaster and the Comparison doesn't suck because The Remakes have been available the entire Switch Generation for 3DS Owner's until now since They shut the Online Service down and if Nintendo won't give Me the Original Mario RPG I ain't worried I have A CRT TV, Retrotink 5x Scaler and A Working SNES with the Original Cartridge or I could Sail the High Seas if I want to Play the Original in 4K I mean it's not good enough that They only offer A Music Option between the Original or Remake They should have also offered A Graphics Option like They did with Dragon Quest XI how hard would that have been.
We need Wario Land 4, Donkey Kong 64, Perfect Dark & Super Smash Bros for N64
I’ve never realized there was a Wrecking Crew sequel
Neat. But also, kinda obvious question: "Mother 3" (English) and "Wario Land 4" when?
Wario Land 4 could be possible to be on Nintendo Switch Online. Can't say the same about Mother 3 though. I think Nintendo could just let another developer do a remake of Mother 3 for Nintendo Switch without causing any legal issues.
@@MaxHuniProductions they already put mother 3 on virtual console but only in japan

They keep ignoring the fact that they ported Pac-Man to their systems.
Pac-Man is a Namco game, not a Nintendo game.
"Yeah, let's give America a Japan-exclusive SNES game that nobody knew existed instead of Super Mario Land 1 and Mother 3"
Heres to hoping they include a Bomberman game sometime soon...
Konami's been very stingy with rereleasing Hudson Soft's library this gen.

In Super R-Type, the lag is your friend.
I really don’t know if we are going to get Mega Man & Bass on SNES and or the Mega Man Gameboy games
I only remember making it to the 3rd level in Type-R 😂
Once again, this slow trickle of games is NOT enough.
If they gave you everything all at once, you wouldn't even play them.
R-Type 3 too. I wish some games for example Batman Returns, X-Men from Capcom, Actraiser, or some more NES games would get released.
One last thing a translated SF version of the Dragon Quest series would be cool, or maybe Square Enix should fix the stuttering in the remastered versions
When you realize that your Bootleg Plug n’ Play has more NES Titles than The Nintendo Switch…
when you realize that most bootleg games are duplicates of same thing
@Yoshizuyuner Also, the games that are on the bootleg run like garbage.

im sure glad no one pirates. we should all be thankful nintendo still puts out classic games a few times a year, they even have enough grace to put out games we never heard of!!!
No one but haters and ex-fans and stupid people cause they should be banished from the community.
I'm really wish they would bring super bomberman 2 or 3 in
I kinda was hoping for Tetris Attack possibly, I completely missed that game when it first came out. Sure its roughly the same game as Pokemon Puzzle League but still. Still, I think people will love that gang beasts/party animals style game, I wonder if the devs for those two games were inspired by that SNES fighter?
It's already on NSO, though it's the original Japanese version: Panel De Pon.
They'd rather give us the original Japanese untranslated Panel de Pon, so you have to look up a guide if you want to navigate all the menus.
