Just finished this game recently on Switch. It is absolutely fantastic, I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't played it. Also the new update seems like it makes the game even better.
I think that the game is gorgeous, however it has some glaring flaws, mainly the combat. You get like 4 moves per character in the whole game and they are so unbalanced between themselves that it really feels like every character has 1 or 2 moves to use, bosses are also very bad because even though they oozes flavor the both deal no damage and have metric tons of HP, making them so BORING. Although wandering around the map is actually incredibly fun and cooler than the actual gameplay.
its a gorgeous game that's great to explore, but the combat is very basic, and the writing is very boring. the characters are non existent. It's a good game if you just want a fun world to run around in but if you want a game with good writing and good characters, look elsewhere. Seriously, the writing made me actively like the game less. It baffles me that this won Indie game of the year last year.
Sea of Stars is one of the most beautiful old pixel art styled RPG game of all time and if I will ever play it I will play it on Switch because games are vest on Switch and thank you Nintendo! ❤
It will be interesting to play again and see how the game feels with the improvements, it was already a solid little title. Nicely done, DotEmu and Sabotage!
I don't have much time to play due to university, but I still desire a new videogame for Christmas, as always. I think Sea of stars will be perfect, because it's not too long, not too expensive, not too difficult and yet wonderful😍 Thank you Sabotage Studio, I can't wait to play to it❤️
Sea of Stars and Eastward may be my most favorite games on the switch. They are both so good, and this expansion looks so very good. Hopefully they both get sequels, they definitely both deserve them 💯💯
Didn't realize this was only going to be the first of two big updates. I had pretty much cleared my gaming schedule for this thinking it was the new story content. But I'll definitely be ready for that in the spring!

A local multiplayer RPG is insane. I wish they also did that with Mario & Luigi Brothership, still great game
I mean, given that these are hat-tips to the SNES era, it's a nice touch. Secret of Mana had local multiplayer, and FF6 was (awkwardly) multiplayer.
