I think what is important here, is that almost all of the differences between the real and the replica need really close scrutiny with a magnifying glass. Under normal conditions on the wrist, the differences are negligible.

Just to try out how good replicas are these days, I bought a new Rolex GMT Master 2 and a fake one.
They were barely different I mean that naked eye couldn't even tell the difference and when you took off the case it even had a fake Rolex movement. Obviously the quality was still somewhat low but most average people won't even notice because they expect to see something like a Chinese movement in there leaving, "Made in China" traces. Yeah I’d buy one! I know it’s not a real Rolex product but I like the style of the replica and I love the similarity between it and the genuine submariner. Plus if it does become lost or stolen it’s not as damaging to the wallet. Looking at getting a clone next month. Great video!

Mine is so good that everything you pointed out slightly different is the same as genuine Rolex. I have not tested to 300 m or tak n housing off. BUT I typically wear SUUNTO, SEIKO, and COTIZEN (I have one real datejust) - for the 3-500$ I spend on those, I think the quality of this replica is worth 150$ I paid in the Middle East. I can wear it every day and not worry too much if anything happens. Other than it’s hard to easily replace bc I was able to look at it first hand prior to buying. Cannot do that online. I have had 3 fake Rolexes in the past 5 years. The first one kept perfect time for a year or so. The second two stopped working after 2 months or so. All together I spent over six hundred on these fakes. I had my Seiko repaired at a jeweler for 150.00 and it looks and runs great. Their manufacturing and design slipped over the last decades because they know if they make the cars too reliable you will never buy the newer ones. It’s part of the business. This is why the older M3s are more sought after.
That is certainly not a high end replica, I can spot that a mile away. The high end replica I have compared to my Dad's real Rolex submariner at the jewelry store they were unable to tell the difference. Plus, mine came with real Swiss movements when back case was removed.

Never understand why these guys never open up the caseback in these comparison videos. Even though the chinese are cloning the movements, the finish on an authentic Rolex movement is night and day compared to the counterfeits.
Because no one is going to open the caseback on their $10k watch for a UA-cam video.
@@spekkio101 I can see where you got confused but I was referring to openeing the caseback of the fake. More then likely the finish/appearance of the fake is going to be so obvious you won't need to go any further then that.
How ever, If the fake's movement looks immaculate on the exterior, removing the oscillating weight and automatic winding moduale to reveal the finish of the mating surface of the plate.
All that being said, If you own or have any experience with Rolex, winding the stem on a fake should be the dead giveaway. For people who don't know the difference, removing the caseback is the best route.
Here in Brazil, who can afford keeps the real one in safe and go to streets with the fake one. 😢

KneegerBigBenis You are technically correct, they aren't "Swiss" in the sense of actually made in Sweden. There is "cloned" movement's especially the 3135 and ETA's they're based on the Swiss movements however they're normally referred to as Asian movements so it's easy to see why people are getting it confused.
Swiss replica means they used ETA movement which is freely sold to anyone willing to buy thus giving them Swiss replica name.. But the other parts made and assembled in china.. while Japan replica means they used miyota movements which is japan originated movement manufacturer, and then there's the shitty chinese automatic and even chinese tourbillon..
