I think originally Philp Schuyler didn't approve of the marriage but she still got married with her husband anyway because she loved him so much. (I think his name was Church something) 2. Angelica Schuyler also was known to be quite the flirtatious lady. She literally flirted with so many poltical figures in America at the time (Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, etc) I think she made Thomas Jefferson so eloped with her to the point where he almost tried to court her despite her being married. But the point is with her flirtatious personality and Hamilton's "Tomcat" personality they of course flirted back and forth a lot. Which explains their relationship "being closer to lovers" often described by historians. But it was mostly playful/harmless flirting. 3. Y'all it's Angelica Schuyler. Have some more faith. If there is one thing proven in history, its Angelica's love for her sister, Elizabeth Schuyler. The saddest part is when she sings about how if she tells Eliza she likes Alexander, that she would be silent and let Angelica have him, and say she's fine but obviously would be lying, but she's basically then describing how she feels now. Once Eliza told her, she put away her feelings and let Eliza and Alexander meet. She sees fine to the others, but is hurting inside. Basically, no matter if Angelica got Alexander, Eliza would feel this way, and of Eliza got Alexander, Angelica would feel this way. It's just sad to think about how whoever got who, they would put their sister first.

I hate how I actually kinda understood Angelica. There was this girl, and god for me she was amazing. We had so many interest, so many jokes, we were similar in so many ways we even got confused as siblings a lot. I loved her so much, and one day I was about to tell her when a friend of mine told me he liked her actually, and he didn’t know at the time. During that time I was thinking I was fully gay, but she shows I’m Bi. I wanted to tell him I liked her for so long but he was like me kinda, just not as long. I sighed and let him and they have been together ever since for so long. I’m not gunna lie, I wanted to be with her for so long but… something in me just couldn’t do that. Something just felt weird. The Schuyler family was rich and influential from what I’ve heard so Angelica thought her father most likely wouldn’t let her marry just anyone. This is also evident in the first fundamental truth, “I’m a girl in a world in which my only job is to marry rich.” because women weren’t trusted back then and their husbands did most of the work, at least that’s what it looked like on the surface. Alexander understood this as well, he came from a poor insular colony with an absentee father and a dead mother. Taking this at face value, no rich man would marry his eldest daughter off to someone like that. It could also be because Alex was ashamed of admitting it at first, so he deflects it by claiming his familial status is “unimportant” and stresses that even if he came from a bad family, he still “has a million things I haven’t done” which would lead to his fame and fortune.
This song really highlights how good of a sister Angelica is. She knows that if she wanted, she could have Alexander to herself, but not only is it her responsibility to marry rich, even if it wasn’t she knows that Eliza would suffer, and she would rather suffer than have her sister suffer.

I didn’t think about it to much but the red foreshadows Alex’s affair with Maria. I freaking adore this animation. There’s so much rich detailing in it.
The poor look of horror, confussion, and sadness on Angelica's face when she turned and saw that Eliza too was in love with Alexander is so genuine and heartbreaking. It is clear that she loved him but caused herself pain and gave him away so that her sister could be happy and marry him instead. Also the part where she thinks about what could have happened between her an Alexander is very relatable and brought tears to my eyes. Angelica deserved so much more for being the selfless person that she was. Such a heartfelt and saddening song, it was so well writen and sung, plus the amazing art work in this video is just outstanding and does this song justice.❤
What got me was the double take of making sure she was looking at who she thought she was looking at. And also the color (pinkish hue) fades from Angelica and moves onto Eliza while Angelica’s color moves onto black and white. So much symbolism and emotions with this animatic and song. Okay but can we just talk about Angelica's memory being fuzzy and settling in the moment Alexander walks in. Everything about the rewind sequence is perfect; the falling into the memory, the censored eyes, the weird blueish hue, the colour changes from black to white and back in Angelica's drawing. It is such a well done piece of animation, and I cannot have enough praise for the way you pulled that off.

i know this is 6years old but i keep coming back to the Hamilton animatics by this person and This is by far the best animatic i have seen of a song, it makes me wonder if you take film studies classes as well because the cinematography, the ghost imagery, the play pause feature (chef's kiss). its not just a really well drawn animatic to a song its a really creative storyboard to an actually animated movie
Angelica has always been my favourite character, as she was willing to sacrifice everything for the two people she loved the most: Eliza and Alexander. The way she handled her pain was incredible and she is undoubtedly the best character ( after John Laurens of course :D) in the show.

k i'm just rambling here but- i like how symbolic the colors are to ham (black), eliza (white), and angelica (red) like black and white are known to symbolize opposite sides with the theme of balance as eliza is the gentle supportive wife to hamilton's hard-working ambitous husband red and black are also used to contrast, but instead of balance it's theme is more on intensity due to how ambitious and alike a. schuyler and a. ham are yet they're still as different in many ways

she was right when she said that alexander will never be satisfied, because he wasn't. he was never satisfied, and angelica was never satisfied. alexander was so focused on rising to the top, he was so set on leaving behind a legacy of his own that he didnt see that he was hurting people. he didn't see that he hurt people in trying to reach his ''ascendancy'' and ''legacy'' and his ''fame''. he hurt eliza, he chose being in charge of the treasury department instead of his wife, he claimed in helpless ''as long as i'm alive, eliza, swear to god, you never feel so helpless''. he made her feel helpless, despite saying that he wouldnt. its sad to see eliza basically cast to the side, yes i know he loved her, but he chose his legacy and ascendancy over his own wife. angelica wasn't satisfied either, she didn't get to be with the man of her dreams. she sacrificed hamilton and her future for her sister. she set eliza up with alexander and basically made sure they got married, just to make sure her sister was happy and content. she gave up her chance to be satisfied. she stated in ''congratulations'' after when alexander said 'it was an act of political sacrifice' [ because he shared his affair with mariah reynolds to the public ] she said ''i languished in a loveless marriage in london, i lived only to read your letters'' she grew unhappy, and unsatisfied, basically only doing something to be able to read letters from alexander. i would understand why she would be furious, and greatly upset with hamilton. imagine of hearing of affair that no one knew, imagine knowing that your sister is heartbroken and deeply upset to hear of this news, and we all know that angelica loves her sisters, she said in congratulations ''i will choose my sisters happiness over mine every time''.

I hate how I actually kinda understood Angelica. There was this girl, and god for me she was amazing. We had so many interest, so many jokes, we were similar in so many ways we even got confused as siblings a lot. I once meant this guy online, we had a lot of interests and we became really close friends for 2 years online. I invited him to join my brother's friend's group chat(she's a girl btw) and I also chatted with her a lot. Then one day I also explained to her how I had a crush on that boy and she drew me a cute picture of him.
But then I found out that he liked her and the two started dating. I was okay with it but I started dying inside for like 5 months and pretending it was fine and I was happy with them.
It's been 2 years since they've been together.
I was afraid of something similar happening to me. About maybe a year ago I joined a friend group. One of the guys I already met and became friends with at school. His best friend (let’s call him x) was in that friend group alongside a couple of other people I’d never met. I got closer to them and developed a particular fondness for x.
I figured he and another friend of mine that I made at that same school would get along great. I introduced them to each other and it went exactly the way I thought it would - they share similar interests and bonded over certain things rather quickly.
Now x and I confessed to each other a couple months ago and certain things happened between us, so I was sure there was still mutual interest. Regardless of that I was still incredibly fearful of x and my friend developing feelings for each other but so far that hasn’t happened.
We celebrated x’s birthday today and I wrote him a letter which I hid under his pillow (I’m a bit of a poetic type) and the conversation after that turned out great. I’d give x the world.

The poor look of horror, confussion, and sadness on Angelica's face when she turned and saw that Eliza too was in love with Alexander is so genuine and heartbreaking. It is clear that she loved him but caused herself pain and gave him away so that her sister could be happy and marry him instead. Also the part where she thinks about what could have happened between her an Alexander is very relatable and brought tears to my eyes. Angelica deserved so much more for being the selfless person that she was. Such a heartfelt and saddening song, it was so well writen and sung, plus the amazing art work in this video is just outstanding and does this song justice.❤
What got me was the double take of making sure she was looking at who she thought she was looking at. And also the color (pinkish hue) fades from Angelica and moves onto Eliza while Angelica’s color moves onto black and white. So much symbolism and emotions with this animatic and song. It’s beautiful👌😮💨
Okay but can we just talk about Angelica's memory being fuzzy and settling in the moment Alexander walks in.
Everything about the rewind sequence is perfect; the falling into the memory, the censored eyes, the weird blueish hue, the colour changes from black to white and back in Angelica's drawing. It is such a well done piece of animation, and I cannot have enough praise for the way you pulled that off.

i know this is 6years old but i keep coming back to the Hamilton animatics by this person and This is by far the best animatic i have seen of a song, it makes me wonder if you take film studies classes as well because the cinematography, the ghost imagery, the play pause feature (chef's kiss). its not just a really well drawn animatic to a song its a really creative storyboard to an actually animated movie

i like how symbolic the colors are to ham (black), eliza (white), and angelica (red)
like black and white are known to symbolize opposite sides with the theme of balance as eliza is the gentle supportive wife to hamilton's hard-working ambitous husband
red and black are also used to contrast, but instead of balance it's theme is more on intensity due to how ambitious and alike a. schuyler and a. ham are yet they're still as different in many ways

she was right when she said that alexander will never be satisfied, because he wasn't. he was never satisfied, and angelica was never satisfied.
alexander was so focused on rising to the top, he was so set on leaving behind a legacy of his own that he didnt see that he was hurting people. he didn't see that he hurt people in trying to reach his ''ascendancy'' and ''legacy'' and his ''fame''. he hurt eliza, he chose being in charge of the treasury department instead of his wife, he claimed in helpless ''as long as i'm alive, eliza, swear to god, you never feel so helpless''. he made her feel helpless, despite saying that he wouldnt. its sad to see eliza basically cast to the side, yes i know he loved her, but he chose his legacy and ascendancy over his own wife.
angelica wasn't satisfied either, she didn't get to be with the man of her dreams. she sacrificed hamilton and her future for her sister. she set eliza up with alexander and basically made sure they got married, just to make sure her sister was happy and content. she gave up her chance to be satisfied. she stated in ''congratulations'' after when alexander said 'it was an act of political sacrifice' [ because he shared his affair with mariah reynolds to the public ] she said ''i languished in a loveless marriage in london, i lived only to read your letters'' she grew unhappy, and unsatisfied, basically only doing something to be able to read letters from alexander. i would understand why she would be furious, and greatly upset with hamilton. imagine of hearing of affair that no one knew, imagine knowing that your sister is heartbroken and deeply upset to hear of this news, and we all know that angelica loves her sisters, she said in congratulations ''i will choose my sisters happiness over mine every time''.
This was the first animation of Hamilton that I ever saw, today I have gone to watch the musical for the first time, and as soon as I stepped through the door I rewatched it, thank you for introducing me to such an amazing story
