- I forgot to mention: Bind jump to scroll wheel (either up or down, whichever you prefer). And if you're beginning do no more than 5 strafes to start.
I've taught many many people how to LJ, and have been asked by even more to make a tutorial on youtube, so here's my tutorial, I hope it helps! Feel free to share the video to anyone that needs help.

@Loots1 This is Ogzd you want your airtime to be near the same the whole way around I do 8 strafes so 100 divided by 8 is 12.5 so I would want my airtime to be between 11-13 or close as possible the whole way through. Also make sure you strafes are as even as possible a lot of people dont get it lol, also if your airtime is really high on your first strafe then switch to the other key before jumping. Ex: I right pre so i use W+D and after i get my 275 pre i switch to the "A" key right before I jump to lower the airtime on it. Hope it helps nice video :D

I hit my first godlike 2 days ago but found myself, forgetting? the basics. I was super inconsistent because i found out my pre would always be from a different position. really helpful that you include in such detail how to prespeed and now i'm back to consistency with blues and greens. thanks a ton. hopefully i can now start progressing more than 35% in spacemario lol.

@@Loots1 Thanks for the encouragement. I've found one problem though. My speed is around 330-340, and my sync is 50-75% but i'm not going far. Any idea what the problem could be?

Thank you for posting this tutorial. This is the best one I've found yet. I've been doing kz for while now but could never jump much more than a 240 block. Thanks to you, I just hit 266 on a 256 block and I'm sure I'm only going to continue jumping farther. Thanks!

I cant believe how people train for like 1 year to 2 years for this spesific gamemode. I just started today and i randomly hit like 4-5 240 jumps. Its so hard to do. This tutorial got rid of some of the questions in my head. Its was really simple and informative. Thanks!

I've been playing community servers for a while and mostly bunnyhop servers and mg. I've never gotten really into lj's before now, and i must say this tutourial really helped. I never knew about prestrafe and i could hit 260 after just a couple a minutes. THANKS!

Also some LJers have said that you want your AirTime to be a consistent number throughout your strafes. So I'm not sure if it should slowly be going down as I said in the video or remain the same the whole time. Perhaps someone could help clarify.
You can also type !ljblock and measure the two points where you're jumping and see where you failed.

@@jassimca2xd155 there are no kz servers that stay on one map, all servers shuffle through maps after a certain amount of time unless during the vote, you vote to extend
are you NA or EU? ill give you an ip link for a nonbusy server, because there are servers that aren't that popular and usually you can have them all to yourself and play whatever map you want as long as you want with no one RTVing on you

Can someone explain how to get first strafe sync to be good? No matter how many strafes I do it is always between 40% and 70%. Also my w release is very often 0 so it isn't the problem.
As a cs 1.6 Kz player, it's cool for me too see that almost all of the jumps in cs and cs:go are so different lmao like doing 240 on cs 1.6 is already really god but on here you can do 240 with one strafe lmao

I dont get it i just started to learn this because its useful in actual comp mm. Are these vanilla settings? I cant seem to get the prestrafe speed of 250+ it just stays 250
these are not vanilla settings, are you in a kz server? it sounds like you are not in a kz server
VNL mode doesnt have a prestrafe mechanic, only SimpleKZ and KZTimer.

Yes I will give you a link but you have to keep in mind, if you subscribe to it in the workshop and go on your own server you will not have the same air settings as a kz server, you're better off finding an empty server and !nominating the map then !rtv to select it, with that being said here is the link :D

Please tell me how to run a server like "kz" on the pc OFFLINE, along with all the modifications, so u can see all the statistics on the jump. It is possible? I have a high ping, no way to play on the servers, u know...
I've never set up a server by myself but I found a link through reddit (although im sure there are servers in your country that give you better ping)

How do you get your airtime 7% on the first strafe and second strafe? I just get 18% all the time. Do you switch the mouse movement right before you jump or press other key before you jump???
if im not mistaken unless youre doing 14 strafes im not sure why you would want 7% as your first airtime. please read this article at the link below, if you still have questions then reply to this and we will figure out the answer!

I got my prestrafe down but my sync is horrendous. Im hitting like 30%. how do I improve on that?
take a jump, and post your stats from the console, lets look at the numbers

@@cameronrohde8697 ok so your timings are all off, thats why your first gained is at "3" and why your sync is bad, its basically like when you should be holding A youre holding D, and vice versa, so youre probably overlapping your keys
you probably need to hold your first key longer to hit that first strafe properly, link me your steam and ill add you, i still dont have my desk though so my shits not set up but when i have some time i can come spec you and give you more detailed advice, but its def your first strafe that you need to alter so you get proper speed going into your jump, your first and 2nd strafes are the most important

How do i practice my sync? everyone tells me to go on KZ (i play on edan btw) but they don't tell me how to practice? Im Doing 11 strafes and 9 strafes but can't hit 250(godlike) please help me with practicing sync.
sorry but before I answer I just want to check, is edan hns? and are you using vanilla settings?

@@proctium ok thank you I dont play hns so I wasnt sure. If you ever wanted to come into a kz server with me id be down and we can do some trial and error
but keep in mind i dont use nulls or ljbinds - I think if someone is working on long jumping they are actually more of a hindrance for beginners than help because binds can entourage bad habits. Its possible to hit 280s with no binds, just skill - it's just a question of commitment to practice. However the main thing you should focus on for sure is less strafes, 11 is waaay too many, you want to start off lower and then building your strafes up, whether youre in hns or kz, but certainly kzing WILL help your strafes, i dont know but i would bet my life savings the majority of great hns strafers are KZers, so you should def look into KZing, im sure it will help your hns movement for sure, its partly because kz settings are easier, so when you go into hns which i assume is a harder setting, you at least already have a foundation to build off of. (i dont know if that made sense!) if you need help im here :)~

I have a slight problem, when im in LJ room and just use the ground i can hit 250-260 max but when i go for the actual jump i cant even hit 240 consistent.
i think its prob your airpath and/or your strafes, as you go to bigger blocks, the specifics of how you jump really matter, its like how people can hit 270s on a 240 block, but take them to a 270 block and they cant hit it

maybe youre in a server that has prestrafe turned off - make sure youre not in a house of climb server? try another server if not just post a comment and well meet in a server and figure it out
also make sure you practice 5:51 before you try to put in your strafes

I’ve been averaging 240’s with prestrafe, terrible low sync, and not many strafes. I will leave a comment on how this impacted my lj soon.

I just hit my first 260 with 5 strafes. I just need to work on my sync. I also get consistent 250’s now. I found out my sync is bad because of an overlap with a and d so it will take a bit to fix.

For some reason When I do left pre I get really really low sync on my 1st strafe but that ain't the case when I do right pre. Like I try to copy my right pre and I feel like I'm doing everything right but it never works I just can't get more then 50%sync on my first strafe when I left pre
most people are usually better at one side over the other, you just gotta grind your left side! happy jumping :)

not in valve dedicated servers, i have not been able to access kz community servers in cs2, but if you can access a kz server in the community servers there will be prestrafe
how do you strafe in the air so fast?
practice my friend, like the video says only start with 3-5, once youre comfortable you can go 6-12

I assume you mean without prestrafe? It really depends on how good your strafes are, there can be a wide range. I'd say in the 250s in general if someone knows how to strafe well.

@@boj2rich203 fook it i decided to just get up lol, umm so here is the workshop link, BUT keep in mind that if you go on your own local server you will not have the same settings as a KZ server, you will only be able to run the map vanilla (mm settings) (unless you change the settings yourself to give the same settings as a KZ server)

The first part in my video instructs a learner to master a 1 strafe jump with at least 270 prestrafe, and in your last comment you had said
"i dont think i could do a single strafe "
Therefore if you can't do a single strafe then that means you didnt follow the first step of my instructions to the video. It's more deductive than assuming, but call it what you will.

@@unlxcky7 just take a deep breath, the first part of my video talks about not worrying about strafes - just doing a half circle so you can master your trajectory while jumping while holding the key to your first strafe (either a/d depending which side you go from) with 270+ prestrafe, practice that until you master it and then add on the strafes (3-5) - you got this :D
