Hello Bro! How are you?! Greetings from Brazil! What is your feedback regarding the use of the 160 tire? Some problem? I'm thinking about changing the one on my bike too. Does the 160 fit correctly on the rim?

Yeah I’m getting a 160/60/R17 Dunlop Sportmax GPR 300, a full Yoshimura R77, and ECU flash. I want a 120MPH top speed, so far 114MPH is my best run, hoping the weight savings and few horsepower will get me there. Might go with the TST WORX Pack.

I ended up getting the Dunlop GPR 300 Sportmax 160/60/R17 and love it. I installed some winglets the other day as well and it’s much more stable on the highway. I tried for a top speed run and only got it up to 113MPH. Going to try again, I think I was in a headwind. I’ve got the Toce Full System, Norton ECU Flash, Velocity Stack, Airbox, MWR Air Filter, and Lithium Battery. Going to swap out the sprocket in 3,000 miles for an aluminum with steel teeth. I had a fairing bolt fall out, and my winglets may have increased drag. Going to try with half a tank as well.

You will more than likely never hit 120 mph on the R3 as sixth gears rev limiter hits right at about 118-119mph and then your done.

how wide is this rim as my bike apparently has a 5.5 inch rear rim with a 140 on and was wondering whether a 160 would fit

Does a 160/60 or a 150/60 do better cornering than a 140/70? Which has better grip?

Did you do any adjustments to the front as in lowering it a bit? Heard since the 150/60 is .07” smaller Than the stock 140/70 you would need to lower the front a smidge??
    Thanks

@@zhainalmarkjulaine6636 It is not necessary to change both. You can put a larger tire on in the back and it will not affect the front. I have even put a 180 on in one of my other posts. take a look at those videos and you will see it looks great and rides great with no issues at all. I did have to upgrade the rear rim to a 5.5 inch to accommodate the larger tire size. Hope this helps. I also included the links where to get the rear rim as well.

I also have the stock rear rim saved with a 160-60-17 tire brand new if you are interested in it. I dont use it but it sure is a big upgrade from stock and looks amazing. I went with a 180 and a 5.5 inch rim and now my bike looks like the R1 i had in the past or my R6
