It's the 28th anniversary of Batman Forever today and I'm going to spend it playing this repetitively.
I loved Two-Face in this movie, he was my favorite character. I don't get the hate.
@@Voltar Yup. I don't get it. I thought he was actually more in character here than he was in The Dark Knight. That Two-Face didn't even have a split personality.

Peak, this two face is much better then the dark knight one who throws a few quotes around and is suddenly an amazing and beautifully written character and doesn’t even have a split persona, mf just gets mad at joker and decides to go kill some people who aren’t joker, at least this one had a personality
I agree actually.
Now, I do think The Dark Knight Harvery Dent was still a good character, it's just when he became Two-Face, I don't think he fully fit the character.
Like, he didn't even have a split personality, and he only faced Batman once for two minutes before being killed.
Here, Two-Face not only has the split personality, but they establish that he and Batman have butted heads several times over the past few couple of years, and I do think he's a better adaptation of Two-Face than The Dark Knight Two-Face.

Did you guys even watch The Dark Knight? Two-Face was far more better there, you literally just made so many baseless claims about him.

You must not have, because if you did, you would have seen that Two-Face didn't have a split personality in that film.
You also would have seen that he did, in fact, only face Batman once before being killed.
These aren't "baseless claims", it's litterally what is clearly shown to us in the movie.
@@Blotzwave uhh are we forgetting things? he literally flipped the coin multiple times to decide the fate of his enemies, like Two-Face would normally do. he also did it as Harvey Dent. and yes he did have a split personality, there were many times throughout the movie that were hinting at his darkness and "Two-Face" side. When he was Harvey Dent, he would always have this angry and violent side to him that he would sometimes show which would later be the main personality by Two-Face. and if you don't believe me, it was when he was interrogating Schiff, punching the guy in the courtroom etc. oh and in the Schiff scene, half of his face was literally covered in the shadow whilst he was angry, which further shows his split personality. his transformation from Gotham's White Knight to Two-Face because of "one bad day" was masterfully done. this Two-Face was far more better than the one in Batman Forever.
And for the other guy, Two-Face didn't just go on a killing spree because he was mad at Joker. He was angry and sad that Rachel died and he realised society was corrupt, whilst also getting revenge on the people responsible for all this. He had a lot of personality.
Glad this movie is starting to get the recognition it deserves, same with Batman and Robin with people realizing it's not supposed to be taken seriously

Tommy Lee-Jones as Two-Face was the one redeeming feature of Batman Forever imo
Him and Jim Carrey as Riddler were both underrated.. Who could've done Riddler more justice??.. I thought Val Kilmer was a decent Batman too. It's just the movie had bad writing & storytelling.
@@heelspawn8023 Eh, I wasn't too keen on Carrey as the Riddler. I feel he should have played a villain who's naturally a bit more flamboyant, like the Flamingo.

It’s funny because sometimes I clearly recognize the style of Elliot Goldenthal, and then it slightly switches to something that Danny Elfman could have written.
I think most of the disappointment with this movie was due to it going back to the comic style that Tim Burton had worked hard to move away from.
But with time, I respect this movie much more. Let’s say it is the most successful comic Batman movie ever made.
The transition from Batman Returns to Batman Forever was a bit brutal, that’s all.
On its own, this movie is pretty solid. I have not seen the one with Mr. Freeze; the few trailers, with the poor Mr. Freeze jokes, turned me off.

I wouldn’t go as far as saying it’s better than Keaton and Nicholson as Batman and Joker, but I can’t deny this was still a great movie imo. Same for Batman and Robin, the first 2 were darker and more serious while the other 2 (This one and Batman and Robin) were great because they almost felt like for the time modernized depictions of how some of these characters would’ve been like in the 60s show who didn’t appear including Two-Face, Poison Ivy and Bane. Plus the bright colors of them all gave me vibes of LEGO Batman 2, which brought so much nostalgia making another reason why I love these movies so much.
