I love the fantasy cross overs in Skyrim. Even though sometimes it can be an awkward force fit to blend two distinct fantasy realms, it is always interesting to see how other fantasy settings, characters, and enemies interact with the game,
This is a very awkward blending of the Wheel of Time and Skyrim. Basically they replaced the main character of Wheel, Rand, with the Dragonborn and tried to keep the basic story of the Wheel series and it feels forced. Entire plot points, character motivations, character arcs and backstory had to be abandoned so a lot of the characters from the books feel hollow and the Dragonborn is basically just stumbling through a story that isn't theirs.
Pretty much how I feel so far. I feel like I'm being rushed between major plot points with very little buildup, context, or story in between. From characters not reacting to deaths, to villians popping out of nowhere with no prior mention. Especially with the mod being presented as though Aviendha is a major part of the experience, but she doesn't comment on the vast majority of the mod's quests.
@@0periodproductions Avihenda falling for the Dragonborn makes little sense because the society she comes from is supposed to be very different in courting and marriage rituals, so it takes a long time for her relationship with Rand to really solidify. In this mod, she falls in love with the Dragonborn because she fell in love with Rand so clearly she needs to be instantly attracted to the main character. All the character interactions and development is gone and characters just do the thing that was in the book but with a completely different person but with none of the parts that make it work present. It's bizarre, lol.
Indeed. The Dragonborn is very passive in this. At some point in this mod or future mods, it would be nice to have the Dragonborn have a speech option (at pretty much every opportunity which goes) "What the @#$(#* is going on?" or "Does Akatosh know about this?" or "Did you all know about the Hero of Kvatch? Did he feature in your plans at all?" or "Sanguine really needs to pay you all a visit." or any of a thousand other things...
Dragonborn - "What the @#*#(* is going on?! I'm Level 81 and I have zero idea what's happening to me! You know what? Alduin was right! Eat the world!!!"
I suppose this is the first skyrim mod to explore the idea of an alternate reality? And if so, I wonder if there'll be future quest mods that will explore the idea of a multiverse or something.
I suppose you can also make the same statement for some of the other big quest mods such as Wheels of Lull and The Clockwork city. But those two delved into more of the time paradox and quantum realms theories (those mods did a great job trying to explain those theories but my brain isn't advanced enough to comprehend) and also tried to answer questions regarding the established lore within the Elder Scrolls universe.
I admit, I have pretty much no clue what's going on in the plot of this mod, but at least the voice acting is good

The number 1 reason I have this mod is Anienda's VA. So adding more dialogie to her would be fantastic.
