That is kind of how time works 😆
I’m having a moment. An attack of nostalgia. This is the first time I’m hearing this song in at least 15 years. I forgot it existed. Someone please invent a time machine and take me back to the early 2000s

Ok
back to the early 2000s to fix everything that was f'kin up back then.
Yes early 20s was the best

I heard this song in a Nickelodeon promo when I was 12. I finally found the song. Twenty years of searching and it’s done 🥰
Still holds up in 2021. Nothing will ever be recorded again quite like it. What a euphoric, feel-good song. Helped me through a bad bad breakup back in the day. I'm 45 now and still love it.

Beginning of millennium vibes! Loved that era.

So true. The women act like Kim Kardashian, Cardi B clones and the guys act literally like every clown rapper of today. There's no variety in anything anymore. Just a bunch of mindless posers pretending to be(what they assume to be) the coolest person in the world.
Too much social media and unrealistic expectations
Good words
@@justinsantos8514 Yo, relax dude! No true allowed here
I feel like people from the 70s we're saying the same thing in 1995
This was always one of my most favorite songs beings a young kid at the turn of the millennium.. what an amazing time to be alive. The world seemed like a happier place and as an innocent kid I had stars in my eyes and hope for the future. 31 now and it's not exactly how I envisioned it, but this song brings that feeling back.
Ill soon be 27, but hearing this song will forever put me in the mindset of a kid in the early 2000s 😆
Same here 😆
Same here 🥺
I was 27 when this came out and I'm still liking it at 47.
I love reading the comments..so many views and memories. So many wanting to go back, to relive their youth. I'm 56 this year...I never heard this stuff when the youth at the time were enjoying, rolling, partying and doing whatever. The beauty of music is it spans time and generations. Good music is made for the listener...its not owned or corralled for a specific age group, it encompasses all...I will enjoy this song till I depart this earth but I will live now, in this time and moment. I will appreciate each day, each person I care about, each memory. Its nostalgic and fun to look back but life is now...Live it!!!!
The 90's and early 2000 were great times. I raced my 1997 KX250 and I had a hot as chick that was fucken crazy.
126er I miss those times !
Absolutely 4 real..I think about the 90"s times everyday..🙃
Thats how your parents felt about the 70's and 80's. Your kids will feel the same way about 2010's and 2020's. Thats just how life is and how nostalgia works... No significant time was actually better than another.

Hey DJ!
Tonight, stars
Tonight I'm seein' stars
Tonight, stars
Tonight I'm seein' stars
Tonight, stars
Tonight
Once again
I found myself with my friends
Dancin' the night away
It's like the party never ends
Then again, we don't want it to stop
'Cause tonight's the night
It goes sweat box, laser beam, flashin' lights
Wild cards, men from Mars
Dressed in stars and stripes
Eclectic Electric
Ladies at the evenin'
Drinkin' booze and mingilin'
Mashin' through the music
I can do anything
Freaky deaky, star speckles and pink butterflies
And life is nice, so nice
I walk into a club and I found paradise
I'm seein' stars, I can?t believe my eyes
I'm seein' stars
Oh my, starry eyed surprise
Sun down to sun rise
Dance all night
We gonna dance all night
Dance all night to this DJ

Now the record always spills on the trails we blazed
The walls are closin' in, but that's OK
Cause I been waitin' all week to feel this way
And it feels so good, so good
I'm on top of the world
The coolest kid in the neighborhood
So let me be a sparkle one night, that's right
Sweat box, laser beam, flashin' lights
You got to
Feel the rush, feel the spice of life
Thug life
Shifty rolls the dice
Snake eyed surprise
Izing, mesmerisin'
The mic, the sick ones
Cause what we are are victims of fun
C'mon, c'mon, the fun has just begun
C'mon, the fun has just begun

As a 19 year old in 2022, I grew up listening to stories from my dad about the 90s and 2000s club scene, and now I worship this school of thought. I wish I could have been there to experience the atmosphere, and PLUR life. I'm a modern raver, and of course, I feel pretty alone lol.

Can't believe this song is 20 years old, it always just seemed so "modern" and now it's vintage.
After watching Midnight Cowboy for the first time back in 2007, I always tried to figure out why it felt so nostalgic, like I had heard or seen it before. Just now revisiting this song after hearing it almost every day in the early 2000's and now I understand lol.. it's a sample of 'Everybody's Talkin' from Midnight Cowboy!

Despite of how dark and hard one's childhood and upbringing might be, such songs from late 90's/early years of millenium remind of few yet bright moments. Thanks for bittersweet nostalgia!
I'm 24 yrs old but I remember my parents used to play this loud for me and my brother I was about 5 when this song came out and I agree that 90s and early 2000s were one of the best times I have ever had the chance to live in. I just wish I wasnt so young at the time so i could of experienced it the way i wanted to experience it because being my age now sucks everyone is so toxic and i just waste my days hiding from people because everybody is so nasty to each other anymore and always fighting.
This song. Had the CD in my car. It was New Year's 2004, I was tipsy and this girl drove me back in my car after I had taken her out to celebrate the new year. As we were driving I hit the play button on the car stereo and this song played. She loved it and so did I. One of the best new year I ever celebrated. Almost 20 years from that moment and I'm married now (to someone else) but whenever I hear this song I always think I should have pursued her (or at the very least made an attempt to) and made her my wife. We were so right for each other in so many ways. Ah well... There's always the memory of that night.
The one that got away! We all have that person, the road not taken at a particular fork... the 'sliding doors' moment that in hindsight turns out to be pivotal and for better or worse, impacts on the rest of your life. If you believe in parallel universes then maybe somewhere there's a version of you who *did* marry that girl... and he's thinking 'what if I'd ended up with *name of your wife*'? Never regret. Just enjoy what you have.
God I miss the late 90s early 00s. One of the best times in my life. Fuck. Anyone find a working time machine yet? Screw now. Then is when it was good, not now…..
xxx
2024, this song still 🔥🔥
Spotify brought this in rotation for me and I immediately added it to my playlist❤
Being like 8 or 9 Years old and it's summer time then this song comes on for a coke commercial .. You see adults dancing, roller skating and having fun. It made me think being an adult was going to be so fun, but now I wish I could go back and be a kid again. I sometimes wish I could experience what adulting was like with out the crazy take over of social media and the smart phone. This song was great and Coke A Cola did a great job picking this song !
I like going back in time and listening to bangers like this one. The number of "views" and "plays" songs like this one will never be known since these songs were made before youtube and spotify.
