Incredibly helpful and after reading many different sources for how to set up subdomains yours is the only one to take me from start to finish so effortlessly and easily. Just one question: hostinger recommends using default public folder and you recommend going with create custom folder. What is/are the pros/cons of both?

Rino, I noticed you link to some of these subdomains on your own portfolio to show the website you made to potential clients. I assume you ask a client's permission to keep their site up on your subdomain, but I wonder if that has any effect on the SEO for the client's website? Since the content on their website will be the exact same as the content on your subdomain. Google doesn't like that, right? Love the video's by the way. (Been following you since the early HGD days)
I know this is late, but you (or Rino) can simply add a ‘noindex’ tag which prevents google from indexing the site in search results.

Please upload soon what to do once the site is built on the subdomain. How do I migrate the site to the domain? I suppose(I'm new in hostinger) if it's in hostinger, tech support will do it or we can do it under the administrator credential or how to do it, if the domain is under other hosting company?? I don't have a migrating plugin. I'll be waiting eagerly.

Could you share more about the limitations of a Staging Site on a Local Host vs using a Subdomain?
This is a great question!!
I usually work with staging site under the same domain as the client. And, as you mention, it won´t conflict with the main site at all and, when pushing the changes to the live version I believe it´s easier than having to migrate an entire site from your hosting to the client´s hosting.
So, what are the benefits of doing it like this instead of building everything through a staging site under the client´s domain?

Why use staging on a local host? Localhost means you host the site locally, so on your own computer. Staging is as I understand it for making a working prototype of your site online, but only for those who have access to it, until you make it a live website.

If this Hoster is from the USA and you are in within the Netherlands and your customers are e.g. in Switzerland (lugdunum): How do you rate the speed (e.g. RTT) of that Hoster? Should you not prefer something more local? Moreover I disagree that people don't find your website. Search engines might actually list your third level domains as well within the results. Any thoughts on this?

Thank you! Yes, you can install any kind of website on a subdomain if you want to. Just make sure to not install Wordpress and then you can just upload your own files via Hostinger's file manager.

Please also make a video on migrating a manually coded html website to wordpress using the same domain.
In short: analyze your website in parts. A WordPress website is made of certain parts, like the header, the footer and the content. If you have sidebars, that is also a part. In the new WordPress system, all parts are named blocks and the above mentioned parts are standard. If you want to code your html website, it can be done, but will take some time. If you want to do it visually, with WordPress and Elementor or the BlockEditor it must be possible to migrate.
But I think Rino has made a great video about migrating a website.

Hoi Rino! Toffe tutorials! ik volg je sinds een tijdje en ik heb al veel nieuwe dingen geleerd! :) Mag ik je wat vragen? Je dient dus separaat Wordpress te installeren. Betekent dit ook dat je Elementor separaat moet installeren? Ik beheer slechts mijn eigen E-commerce site en ben geen webdesigner van beroep. Ik heb dus ook maar een beperkte Elementor licentie (Pro-Plus; Max 3 sites). Telt dit op deze manier mee als één van deze 3 sites dat jij weet?
Het is inderdaad zo dat je los Elementor Pro moet activeren en dat dit van je licenses af gaat. Echter kun je achteraf deze weer cancelen wanneer je klaar bent met het subdomain zodat je deze weer aan een nieuwe site kunt linken. Maar dit is dus wel meer relevant voor mensen die het Expert plan hebben van Elementor.

Just tried this on Hostinger - built out my main site which took 4-5 days of work and the site installed Wordpress thinking it was going on the subdomain - it wasn’t!! The earliest back up was prior to my hard work 😓 - lesson learned and I still don’t know how to do a subdomain 🙁
If you still have the website running on the main domain then you can transfer it to a subdomain using a migration plugin. Please make sure to exactly follow the steps I’ve layed out here.

You should try adding something like a “Force Login” plugin, otherwise Google is able to rank SEO details for a website that’s currently in the building and design process ... ;)

I think the answer to your first question lies in the settings. Especially in the general settings on your dashboard. As I recall there is a checkmark to make it possible that search engines will not follow the website.
Your second question depends completely on what you agreed with your client. Personally I would transfer your clients website on the subdomains to your local installation for archival purposes and then delete it from your web host if you have migrated and delevired your clients website onto their domain. It only takes space for you.
