    I see that you use the water proof lid to keep the Ethernet connector out of the elements. What should we do with the 12 volt connector? Can that be left out in the elements? Thank you.

    Why is there so much Ethernet involved with this WiFi camera? Definitely never had to touch one [an Ethernet cable] when I set up my two other Reolink cameras (Argus 3 Pro & Argus PT).

    Is a Poe switch necessary or can i not just run the ethrnet cable direct from the camara to the back of the router.
    Why do i need this Poe switch if theres 5 empty LAN PORTS behind the router?

    • @tweekr21
      @tweekr21 28 днів тому

      You need a POE switch because routers don't provide the power needed for the camera to function. I just bought this camera and a POE switch and hooked up this way. You can hook up multiple cameras to switch then just run 1 cable to router.I'm putting my switch in the garage which makes it easier to run all camera cables to just the switch and then only 1 cable to router rather then multiple cables.

    Hi there.
    I am curious and compelled to inquire if the TrackMix will be available in the solar power format or if at all?

    Is the PoE switch just a hub, and any ethernet connection would work to supply the power?

      Hi, you may please connect the camera to PoE Switch or Reolink PoE NVR via an Ethernet cable so that you can get the power and data. If you have any other questions about cameras, please feel free to contact Reolink support at support@reolink.com. Thank you.

      If you didn't add some special settings like firewall or VPN to the router that the camera is connected to, then generally the camera can be remotely accessed either your phone is not in the same network as the cam.

    How do you use it without an nvr?

    • @ReolinkCameras
      @ReolinkCameras  Рік тому

      Hi, you can just connect the camera to a router as shown in the video (starts from 0:06). If the router doesn't support PoE, use a PoE switch or PoE injector to interconnect them or use the power adapter to get power.
      Also, accessing the camera via Reolink App/Client or a web browser is pretty easy (demonstrated here: ua-cam.com/video/3h7JAFQ4uiA/v-deo.html).

      @@ReolinkCameras maybe you can recommend a couple of NVR that work nicely with this? A low cost and a more higher spec. Thank you.
