Why the change from compounds S475 to the single? I am about to pull the trigger on a Wherli fab compound with the S475 my self, and am very curious. Want performance, but I also tow with my 07 5.9 mega cab.
Good video. Ive had a 66mm Silverbullet on my truck with stock injectors for the past 10 years and thinking about going stock/s400 compounds or have my turbo rebuilt with a billet wheel and steed speed manifold before doing injectors/cp3.
depending on your power goals that could work, running s300/s400 compounds have backpressure limits for sure, the small t3 foot of that silver bullet cant flow enough for more than 600-700 hp without needing an external wastegate to keep backpressure in check. if youre going to spend the money on a steed speed, just t4 second gen swap the truck with a 467.7 (aka 468) enjoy it and if you want to compound it after that thor a 485/488 on top enough air for 1200
Do you have stock fueling at all? I just got a s472 with a billet compressor wheel, installed about 2 weeks ago. Egts get up to about 1200 going uphill. Currently just have a fuelab 100gph lift pump, exergy 10mm cp3 and stock injectors. What's your opinion on my egts?
That’s a really big turbo for stock injectors. Your truck is not in it’s efficiency range because of the turbo/fuel matchup. You don’t really have enough fuel to spool the turbo properly, and if you can’t get the turbo to run efficiently you’re egts will be higher.
KReyCummins Thats what I figured and that's what multiple people have told me, just wanted to get another opinion. Once the turbo lights, egts drop a little, and it spools pretty quick for the most part. The guy I purchased everything from talked me into it. I just didn't want injectors yet due to my stocks still being in good shape. I appreciate the response!

Might just go for compounds. Gotta make sure the engine gets enough air though...
I saw your coolant temp was hitting a bit over 200, mine has been doing the same should I be concerned being my truck is stock?

Mine are 900-1000 depending on how steep the hill and what speed I’m going. 1200 is a little high though. IMO
