Waited 5 mins to get in, joined, then got killed by a cheater in 15 secs. Certified cs experience
The real thing indeed!
pretty similar to the original game
thats unsual, i play this in school during free period i havent spotted a cheater yet.
damn i gotta try this in computer class
Class?? Duude are you 14-17???
@@18alex I don't know about you, but as far as I can tell, a sizable portion of the folks playing on community servers are actual kids who found the game looking for the proverbial "games for low-spec pc" listicles and top 10 videos...
Gaming... Uh... Finds a way...
@@18alex Does it surprise you that people of all ages use the internet?
VERY VERY VERY late update: the computers are too ass to even boot it lmfao
Reminds me of classic Flash online MMO. 😸
The reason i play this version is my pc breaks when i play any downloadable games
I doubt any legal action of any kind will be done. if you've ever actually played CS 1.6, you'd know that more than 3/4ths of the servers are NON-STEAM and they ALL have VIP systems with pay2win stuff. There's simply no way that this "service" would get shutdown. I don't condone this by any means, but there's simply no stopping things like this from existing, especially when it makes these people this much fucking money. Most if not all the bad players buy stuff to get an advantage but it yields hardly any difference because they still suck. The worst one I see is the "/medvip" or similar commands that just let you get extra health.
I know that these versions of CS are specifically catered to people who do not have access to STEAM and are on very limited internet connections, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the players are entirely localized to internet cafes where it's the only place they can access internet, also making IP banning ineffective because they are utilizing public access systems that update IPs potentially quite frequently.
I'm also not surprised to report that certain versions of non-steam CS are distributed with hacks pre-installed and the client has ZERO idea that this is occurring. These are usually subscription based systems to ensure that people will continue to pay to use this copy of the game because they win all the time, thus further proving the point that this "CS 1.6 Cartel" is very alive and well, and has been for the past decade ever since basic internet access in certain regions have begun to develop.
yeah like there is a cs1.6 client in turkey thats so old they still use facebook for annoucments and use teamspeak and has paid features yet nothing happend to them still
i play it because i cant downlad anything on my cromebook! WHYYYYY GOD WHYYYYYY!
This is made for school kids basicaly, for free for all computer classes. And it's a great idea for that niche
Plus BitDeffender did not recognized it. Awesome! And I love the fact you have to buy ammo like in 1.5
Sooooo here the games that kids can play in their School Computers without download
- Tetris (On the Oficial Tetris Site)
- Counter Strike 1 with Counter Strike Global Offensive Models
Actually not seen the global offensive models - but 1.6 ones@@alface935
@@Benetkabc2nd Ammo buying was part of 1.6 and I think CZ too
guns and school is not a great idea 😭😭
That reminds me back in the day when my peers at school would boot up these web games like this when our teachers weren't looking. I'm surprised things like this are still up.
Kids these days have whole damn computers in their pocket that can play Fortnite under their desk. They don’t know the experience of trying to find a new flash game website the teachers haven’t yet blocked to play in computer lab. *shakes cane*
@@larsthedude1984 Eh there was still some of this a few years ago when I was in high school. People were playing Stepmania, Halo CE lan, Ravenfield and other games. Cool Math games was a popular flash site, most people played the downloaded games though. The teacher eventually didn't care (computer related class) unless you didn't finish your work but the next year she blocked it all.
Doesn't help that flash games and unity web games aren't a thing any more. :(
@@WednesdayMan yeah... 25 years era....
@@larsthedude1984 yeah... fk to epic games man.
Well, this looks really good to play Half-Life on a browser!
good news
How about opposing force in the browser?
The only real use case I can think of for this web version of counter strike is if you're a kid still in school and you love counter strike and want to play in you're break or lunch. That would be useful until it eventually got blocked once teachers saw you playing a shooter game in school. Then they would try blocking it. So not really useful for me as someone who left school years ago but I can see the one use case for this.
i remember playing this in 2020 LOL
thanks for reminding me that cs online exists again XD
Valve should make all their classic games free to play in a browser... and make the original games open source so people can create modernized source ports, improve the netcode and remove engine limitations... similar to what xash already does... Would be nice to have a free standalone version of Half-Life 1 Deathmatch and Adrenaline Gamer that can run any map and just works... Mostly the hit detection is terrible in these games... It would also be nice to have matchmaking and leaderboards on the same website so you can basicly have a better competetive experience like how Quake Live once did it...
This is the craziest idea, not because it's bad, but because valve are just too money hungry to do this.
Nuclide has fully functional HLDM support with better netcode (hitscan weapons are unlagged including their animations). It's a clean room reimplementation based on FTEQW (a QuakeWorld source port).
@@Calinou So what are we waiting for moving AG players to this new port?
It's basically the only 3D Multiplayer HTML5 FPS game accessible to most people out there (especially in schools), considering the fact that Adobe Flash was discontinued in 2020, and very few games are being made in web browsers these days.
i love how you laugh while explaining how meaningless this site is XD
In the old days I would pass a pirated copy of Halo CE on a USB stick around other highschool members and it seriously got out of hand that it got banned because somebody was careless enough to play it in front of a teacher.
This reminds me of how I first played Quake and Doom, someone ported the shareware episodes of both games to Websites and you could play them on Newgrounds if I remember. (Quake was just the first Shareware episode of Quake 1 while Doom's shareware episode also included the shareware episodes of Heretic and Hexen in the same flash game, so it was the first episode of 3 Doom Engine games in one flash game.)
quakejs exists now so that's similar
Ha, i remember getting into doom/quake/wolfenstein games just because of those website ports
This video kind of reminded me a version of counter strike for Android smartphone/Tablette release back in 2011/2012. Which was basical a 1:1 recreation of cs 1.6 with added touch control support. To be fair it was kind of fun to be able to play cs 1.6 on the go anywhere you want on your Android device, i still have great memory playing this version.
I'm pretty sure Valve won't sue them because:
1. It's Valve. It takes them forever to do literally anything.
2. Volvo is so out of touch with it's userbase nowadays that it would be a genuine surprise that anyone at Valve even knows this project exists.
3. (if they do know) I doubt anyone at Valve sees this project as a serious threat to their revenue. So why bother even taking action.
I honestly don't like looking source models (css/csgo) ported to goldsrc, looks cursed af. But the other side, it's pretty interesting to look at my favourite game can be played on web browser with online friends if they don't have 1.6 installed
If wasn't for blatant greediness, this is cool solely for novelty sake. This could also be extended to other Valve games with multiplayer like Day of Defeat, HL1 DM (or Quake 1 DM) and TFC.
Maybe in future we get Gmod through browser, gamemodes like TTT or Prophunt available on any computer would be very fun. Not sure if Source can be implemented the same way though.
Quake 3 has something like this.
@@morkgin2459 You mean Quake live
@@GodFatherGB quake 3 js
This game was actually made with the intention trying to make a better version of a russian/eastern european game called Rush team, which is basically counter strike 1.6-like game with paid skins, memberships, weapons and more maps.
i'd make a seperate video on that game, the game itself and the community act like they are stuck in 2010
I think it’s for student trying to play game on school PC lol
*i dont get it. Why still these days GoldSource Engines and CSS, DOD:S, L4D1, DM:S Not Free-To-Play ? Because nobody playing this games any mores. Just Let Free-To-Play it.*
If only you knew how pay 2 win csnz was 💀💀
This is just scummy. They should simply put occasional ads on empty places of the site (not in-game) to keep up with the costs of running the site. Not all this currency mumbo jumbo.
Finally something that comes close to the old critical strike portable.
I still remember that game, I really liked the survival gamemode
i could see Xash3D in a web browser being perfect for the mmo rpg half life mod Master Sword
Oh yeah, that mod would benefit so much from the large map tools used by Xash3D
i wish they made a site where you can view cs1.6 demos without using the game
YES! Yes that would be awsome!
I think someone already did this.
@@rtxa i saw on github some browser program that i dont even know how to execute, nor there was a guide and it probably isn't exactly what i said in my comment
Man this is freakin wild. Pretty funny (and kinda neat) if it wasn't for trying to shake people down for money.
Reminds me of Free Minecraft
i hope we get another 3v3 on quake
actually when i was in university in russia 4 years ago, i used to play this exact browser version of cs on university computers.. since you couldn't download any applications there, this was the only way to kill time during boring-ass classes lol
i want value to 3v3 them on quake
Even if it's illegal. This is so cool because you can play this everywhere like school and office computers
Still better than CS 2
5:30 for me and my homies to play on school computer when they restricted every software access on the pc of course
i like your accent ❤
Wow, I thought that CS Online was the only one free 2 play CS game, but I guess that I was wrong. Anyway, I wouldn't play it at all and the best thing I would do if I wanted to make my CS 1.6 look like CS GO is via mods. Heck, I recently installed mod that gives CS 1.6 weapons animation of CoD 2019 weapons. And it looks cool. But I saw crap tons of mods for CS 1.6 throughout the years, and those that I remember is Counter-Strike Crysis, Counter-Strike Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Counter-Strike WarCraft which is just a CS Deathmatch but with different name. And now there is Counter-Strike Opposing Force, which makes your CS look like Half-Life Opposing Force.
A browser based counter-strike would be nice for school.
We used to download CS 1.6 Warzone back then on our crap ass laptops and host LAN matches in school. Ahhh the memories😅
I have a Macbook M1 chip. So for me it was fun to remember the old days. But ofc you want at least Windows with some solid monitor 144 (200) Hz, for any competitive playing.
Bruh counter strike roblox are way better than this
I love the energy of this video lmao
Pure copy. Abusing the socioeconomic/political foothold that is denied to Valve, apparently.
This is basically for managed Chromebooks because counter-strike can be run from a usb if its the non steam version.
Wasn't Xash3D kinda illegal to begin with? Y'know, cuz of all the reverse-engineering involved n'stuff...
You forgot to tell that Xash3D is also illegal. It has some code from HL2 leak. The main developer is from Russia. Besides if you tell him that his project is illegal he will be very irritated. I talked to him trying to persuade him to change the name of his other project Quake Remake because Quake is a trademark. But he was just irritated by my words. Also he didn't want to fix even obvious bugs like the wrong damage of certain weapons (this affects gameplay on some maps).
Russia is so down bad right now, they can't play CS:2 because their economy was eviscerated due to the War and they can't afford Gaming PC's.
HDTF in browser when
only on Internet Explorer
you cant be more german than this guy lmao
I am curious what makes me so german :D
@@ESCalation the facking accent lmao
Is that the GTA2-Themesong running in the background?
As someone in his second apprenticeship I can tell you the usecase is school computers. This is basically a wet dream of 9 year old me and I might even look it up when I have school next time :D
Adding paid skins is the worst idea and could ultimately destroy the whole project, what are they thinking?
I dont have a PC for cs i only have a Xbox one and im going tho Edge so i can Play this lol this and wz Is the only Games i be playing fr
Cheat free experience perhaps?
Its for school PCs. Most school PCs cant download stuff on them directly.
As a person that played more than 3k hours on CS Nexon Studio, i can say that the game is complete pay to win trash
You can play it on a school computer like a chromebook, because can't install steam, it's also good on school computers in general.
This takes 10 bucks or so off of valves million dollar profits so kids can play CS in school, I say it should stay.
That reminds me of that time of the games in Internet cafes and their stories. I was never in one... but I imagine what that time was like with everything that was said about them. The golden age of CS 1.6.
i tried this a while ago....i was booted coz my high is high lol....
this look scuffed just play csgo or wait for the next sale for the cs bundle
eh used to play there its okay i guess, only place i played 1.6 actually
so this is illegal? unofficial CS in a browser???
Getting mass coverage from a known cs content creator will definitely kill it :P
what incentive does Valve have to strike any of this
When you already noticed in now that Xash3D Engine can created its browser game:WAIT WHAT THE FUCK BRO WHAT THE FUCK!?
i think that is meant for school or uni libary pc. but yeah very very niche
but its really fucking lag almost unplayable
Pls explain gow to get this cs go game weapons and hands
ayyy, im early
Nope you're not
@@18alexnumber 2 comment is still early
what music is in the beginning of the video?
2:18 are you gonna act like that epic kill didnt happen?
Bro the scope of the sniper is so slow
This would be good for people on chromebooks
Well now CS:S is the Only paid one
Condition Zero too^^
@@ESCalation condition zero is just cs 1.6 but with bots so it does not really count and condition zero deleted scenes is not really cs
honestly it's a pretty cool thing
Ohh god the gta 2 music hits different
i'd rather play crossfire
I like the GTA2 music. 😂
*cscetti lughing in the corner*
Is it gonna be dissapear?
I think valve don't own the old map assets. And if the 3d assets are 3rd party too they may be safe. I don't like it though, it is predatory p2w. And most people can put CS 1.6 in xash3D themselves, it is not hard, there are tutorials and you can play from a USB stick or anything.
I remembered playing the 1st cs1.6 mockup and then it turned into Critical Strike
Not my friend. Everything in this world is legal as long as you don't get caught. 🙃
As a Xash3D user (enjoyer) since 2016 I liked the video
I know the developers, they are against piracy, and that "play-cs" is knockoff
I used to play this at class when we didn't have much to do
the servers that would be hosting this would be cheap. If it supports regular 1.6 golfsrc servers then the only thing their paying for is the webhost.
Yea I used to play games like this in the browser when a few of us would get together in the computer lab. My family actually didn't allow us to own technology so it was the only way I got to play multiplayer with my friends back in like 2006. I actually had some kind of open source game that a few of us customized we would get together on. If you tried to install anything on the lab computers you would get in trouble. :)
You can just pirate 1.6 like many do you know, like I did for years before buying it.
It would be great if valve did this
FYI, Id software and EA already tried about a decade ago with Quake Live and Battlefield Heroes, and while the later closed up shop the first ended up "devolving" into an actual standalone (paid) game... So I don't think a project like this would be profitable to any team larger than a handful of Russians recycling someone else's work, TBH
yknow another thing is that xash3d uses code from the hl2 beta so the engine itself is also considered illegal
This had been a thing for quite a while like literal years im suprised that it wasnt taken down yet
I remember playing this a lot when lockdown happened
It is for certain a mobile version of CS by using all of its assets but this time around for desktop web browser. Also, not the first time someone tries to make money off from it because there are thousands of apps that do so.
login system should be safe, many companies use google login just so they don't have to worry about security
Can u use a xbox and ps4 instead
I played in xbox s but now i cant idont have any idea
There is no such thing as intellectual property.
I remember playing counter strike nano with friends at school
Thank you for making this video! I want to check it out now
i guess is so you can play cs in school with out having to install anything
Yeah I'll stick to counter strike online lol
