Serious Answer: The last time counter strike actually got into panic was when Valorant got released. They thought that it would kill their game, so they started improving tiny things and adding new little features and fixing some mapping bugs etc REALLY QUICKLY. I guess we need another counter strike competitor for counter strike to take the community seriously again.
i quit cs2 after the release and its been a year since i deleted the game. I cant believe it that cs-go already nostalgic for me even tho i started playing it in 2020. I have my old clips & funny moments with this game, now its like lost memory RIP CS-GO.
imagine a whole year, and the game just keeps getting worse than their previous update. Fact is only the skin market keeps this "game" alive at this point.
it would be nice if cs2 can add back small events like halloween, smissmass which those things affect texture stuff. we aint asking major updates, even small minor updates is fine. while its ironic to see cs2 community becoming like tf2, its definitely not healthy at all
@@goochipoochie sure from what we are seeing,I'm not surprised people are giving up. Here's the thing, valve can and will listen to the community. Remember the fixtf2?sure as hell it took time but we did something nice tho not what the community asked but better than nothing
Valve even screwed up on the simple things like the HUD. You can NOT tell me CSGO didn't have a better hud in both visibility and how its organized. CS2 doesn't even let you customize your HUD layout and size of individual elements to make it better.
2:28 a similar thing happened with tf2: they tried to make it an e-sport > they dropped the ball hard > made one last update and completely abandoned it.
i just stopped playing cs, when csgo was a thing i could not go a week without playing because i just wanted to feel good playing, but with cs2 it just felt like a chore and it's very boring, not to mention that whenever you have a good day and carrying the team and having fun playing at any moment someone can just toggle and ruin your entire day, but then you go to faceit and it's just incredible tryharding that is not fun anymore (deleted my faceit account a couple months ago after getting to 3500), now i just don't want to play the game it's almost dead to me, when i want some cs2 i watch videos and recently i've seen esl pro league which was fun to watch.
In CSGO I'd duo queue in wingman on de_lake with a friend for years, or hop on community servers... most fun I've ever had. Nowadays I just divide my time between playing KZ alone, and grinding to 2k on faceit so I can get it over with and quit for good.
They should just bring back community servers in csgo, not valve servers. Makes it a lot easier for surf servers and other customs (porting maps is a pain and ramp bug is still a challenge) and faceit could have csgo servers again. Would make the community very happy so valve has way more time to bring out updates, since no one will really care if it takes them another year just to bring back train since they have csgo. People would probably buy skins more too if they brought skins back to csgo imo. Idk I only started playing cs in like 2022 though and have only really played casual since then anyway
Pros say bad things about the game all the time, CS2 is a competitive game so map fixes/changes are major updates, operations and cases are more so for the community. If there is an update for today it would be later in the day as valve loves always pushing any big updates much later. I just want cache back
CS2 is in the top 3 in the world where the most cheats are made. It is also a game that attracts many as scammers. It's a money machine. VALVE don't care about that players.
Player count is in a general decline but yes still a lot volume. It will be interesting to see at what point Devs do something as presumably decline will continue as more & more ppl become frustrated
@@oOignignoktOo1 would say 1/3 of it. But yea huge part of it indeed. But it also show this game is far from dying out if the case demand is so high, case farming is still profitable

That is literally not a lot of people, especially considering most are bot accounts. Valve is blind to the fact that the amount of actual players is very low. I can't fathom the fact that I am saying this, but they should honestly learn from Microsoft and Mojang a little bit. Minecraft has the largest playerbase in history, and that's not going anywhere. And Minecraft often feels like "I'm going to play for 7 days then stop for 3 months" type of experience. Last time I genuinely played for longer than 20 days in one year was back in 1.16. And yet, Minecraft is still played. By so many people. Offline, online, with challenges. Content that was made many years ago is still attractive today. Why? Because Minecraft has events, Minecraft has updates that target everyone, not just DreamSMP and Hermitcraft ffs. CS, meanwhile, focuses on the select few who are paid to play the game. But don't you think that making the spot of a pro player more enjoyable would attract more and more people to watch the majors, thus giving you more money? I mean, truly you cannot convince me that you are *that* stupid not to see that.
I quit playing about 2-3 months ago because I got sick of the bad hit registration , server desync, and cheaters being rampant in the game. I stuck it out for awhile because of the case drops but even then it doesn't even feel worth it anymore to put up with everything else for that.
I feel like at certain point we just have to ACCEPT cs2 is tf2…. The game is literally over and dead. Yes there MIGHT be updates later down the line, but betting on it is stupid at this point. Valve games will always have some form of a community, even if the game has technically “been dead”. So at this point its up to content creators to keep the community happy and well fed. You can either adjust and make videos like “1 invisible pro vs ….” Or literally just continue to complain to a wall and watch your community get bored and fizzle out.
Counter point . Tf2 is not dead , it just doesnt receive updates. As a game tf2 is finished , complete , doesnt really need anything ese added ( although it would be nice ) Meanwhile Cs2 is NOT finished . It has half the map pool of csgo , less than half of the gamemodes , no working community servers . The game feels worse because of the way the delay works . The only advantages it has over csgo are the graphics and the smokes , and thats it .
at 4:50 I agree with you, sometimes you want to take a break from some sweaty comp games and you decide instead to either try new maps or play dangerzone, flying scoutsman etc. right now im trying to take some breaks because I dont want to vs tryhards, so i queue a wingman and guess what: Im playing against tryhards there too, there are like no fun modes to do or play apart from comp
I've personally REALLY enjoyed a game called The Finals. It's devs listen to the community always, we get store updates and balance changes every single week and we just got the biggest content update so far. I've completly stopped CS2 cuz of TheFinals.. It's destructable enviroment, unique game modes and big learning curve is making the game insanely adictive. To anyone wondering what to play PLEASE try TheFinals out. The game is too underrated
The state of the game is sad, we all know that, but at a sirtent point people just have to learn to simply, move on, and some of them do, which is great, whether valve will come and save the game is out of our controll, but we don't have to stick with this mess of a product.
this game is garbage. what isn’t garbage? valves return on cs skins. if the addicts quit buying and selling skins then valve would see the dip and fix the game. again the addicts need to quit spending money lol.
the problem about CS 1.0 and CS:GO 1.0 and CS2 1.0 is the same, Beta Software/Games Release as 1.0 Final or Year by Year Continuous Progress of Improvement, same for Windows 10 RTM and Windows 11 RTM, etc.
After tilting matches, used to hop into surf play music and chill, but now even surf is tilting with ramp bugs and glitches out leg animations. Getting a faster speed or better time on a map? Get shot into space or stop on the ramp. It’s lame. I have even started playing 1.6 and source again but most of the servers are 20 people camping with awp on dust 2. I’m sick of dust 2 bro. I miss csgo. It didn’t look pretty but it worked so well. The engine didn’t have to deal with lighting and reflections, and subtick, just the shooting. If they added cs2 grenades to csgo. It would be a perfect game. I feel like valve doesn’t care about cs2 anymore. It’s their job not their passion project like deadlock is. On cs2 anniversary there was a deadlock 1.5gb update. It might not be the same devs but man. Why the hell did we replace a perfectly working product with a broken 1/4 finished product. It’s like we all are beta testing the game instead of enjoying counter strike. I love cs and I don’t want to see it die. And not being able to play csgo anymore sucks. I hope cs thrives again. I hope valve get encouraged to fix the game and not flamed and sent toxic messages, but who knows. I just want to play golden age of cs again.
I find it funny how no one complained that CS2 was not a separate release. Because if Csgo was still playable and players had a choice between the two, CS2 would probably be DOA. And i couldn't care less about what would happen to the inventories of (man)children who paid way too much money for pixels that they never owned in the first place.
Honestly in my opinion cs2 is absolutely dog shit no operation in the last 3 years, no update to the anticheat, only good thing about cs is the market, valve is dog shit.

I don't think you should blame the developers. They are definitely working hard, they won't get paid otherwise and valve isn't blind. Tf2 has quite literally no developers, valve hired a contractor. So yes you can and should blame the higher ups in valve. The developers have responsibilities but blaming them won't help. Blaming higher ups and speaking with your wallet will help
employees at valve can work at whatever game they want, meaning they can work on deadlock for 1 week and the next week they can work in dota 2 and nobody will care in there
In my opinion, the BEST way to make counter strike interesting (besides fixing the basic stuff like cheaters and server lag) would be to add a frequent map rotation to the competitive pool. Because CS has such simple gameplay, the best way to make the game feel different is with new maps. Imagine getting a new map to the pool every major. This way both the casual players and the competitive scene can remain interesting. Maps like Anubis, which is the newest map in the rotation, has been in competitive play for almost TWO YEARS, and has been in the game for over four. We need more map variety.
I think Source 2 just isnt made for the current type of hardware we have. It seems like Valve just planned CS2 to actually be decent in a few years and not now, just because PC's just arent ready yet. Just look at the things Source 2 is capable of. There is no engine that can do the stuff Source 2 can. I personally think, that it will just take a few years (3-4 maybe) until the game is actually as good as CSGO.
Logged in to cs2 once at release. There are some cool things, but for me personally it was always shooter > rest. Since it's not playable, will wait for couple years and then come back.
I'm dedicated to still improving and to become an S tier player, but holy shit Haix, you are right. I tried a full month (only CS2 training until gameplay with my team), it was very fun to see rapid improvement, but the last week was a bit boring and the next month was just less training (I still do it because I have to).
The game is not in a great state but also the creator is out of touch with the "casual gamer" this dude makes a living out of this game... same as pro players. Asks for feedback in his ecochamber of a fan base. I play cs2 with my friends for a couple of h every Sunday. Other than some hit-reg we don't see a problem in this game besides smurf accounts.

Stop asking Chat GPT to formulate smart looking sentences. You uploaded "Cat vibin to contra jungle theme" on your channel, your opinion and thoughts on the subject are irrelevant.
I'm really happy to see some content creators standing up and talking about these problems, instead of just staying quiet and promoting gambling sites. The community needs to talk about these issues, and content creators, as well as pros, should be part of that conversation. Of course, pros may just stay silent, thinking about their future, as you mentioned. Thanks for this video, Haix. I hope that one day we will enjoy this game as much as we enjoyed CS:GO back in the day. I also hope your Twitch account will be unbanned. Have a great day, broski!
I’m quite new to the game so I’m having a good time with it since I’m quite new. But I think some things that could be improved on would be the community not picking the same two maps every time I load into premier and some small things like being able to see a more detailed overview of your stats such as your lifetime k/d and such.
I feel your statements so much. CS:GO was my youth and I love the memories of it. We played CS2 for two months and were really sad that it was almost never fun. No matter if we won or lost. I'm really sorry that you have to force yourself to play the game to earn money. I hope someday that won't be necessary anymore
This is the first year ive not even got close to my yearly goal of a service medal. Theres just no content in cs2, If i play i either have to play premier or competitive. Theres really no other choices, no danger zone, war games (arms race is for cheaters to unlock competitive) and more importantly no unranked or short matches which after I got tired of tryharding was the main thing I played, I dont even mind no operations if there was more content in the base game to play but there isnt, and for the first time since 2016 im ending this year at level 19, usually im level 40 by now waiting for the next year's medal to drop already.
I forgot maps too, sometimes I open the game look at the maps available and just close the game. Theres nothing enjoyable, its all maps designed to be competitive maps plus office
The main things I miss from GO are those guardian holdout missions and the 2 player coop operation missions. I always felt sad when operations ended because I couldn’t play them. But even beyond that, the custom coop missions for the workshop that I could play with friends when operations weren’t there. Obviously things like anti cheat and better net code should be top priority, but it’s a shame that valve killed GO’s workshop.
Bring back the old community server browser, that's what made me fall in love with CS in the first place. Made so many friends on servers back in CSS, good old times.
It's so funny seeing videos about how cs is going downhill/ruined yet noone mentions skins/cases. Cs was ruined with cases and that's it. People to blame for its downfall are content creators and whales that pump money into skins, why improve a product when it brings milions without people needing to engage with the "core" of the product itself.
Why would he do something like that? Look to 05:55. Haix complains a lot but doesn't realize that it is because of the skins that the game is like this. Why would valve do anything? As long as the game is still active, the skins and casinos will continue to operate. They are not interested in cheaters, servers 128, balancing, fps and other topics. They just want the game to remain active, to continue profiting.
At this point i don't care about anti-cheat ir more, i just want casual gameplay, modded, danger zone, co-op, or just custom maps with new custom gameplay, for example among us in cs2, that would be amazing
I couldn't bare playing CS2, even though I was and I'm still hype for it. Went to R6 instead for my tactical shooter experience, it's been alright, but it's not CS.
CS2 feels like it shifted away from being a competitive game and became more casual, where graphics and presentation take priority over gameplay-similar to how Need for Speed focuses more on story and visuals than the actual gameplay.
I love grinding faceit and playing CS2 but the games state is far from good, somedays it feels like you are on the bad side of subtick, it feels just not as consistent as csgo did. If it would I would have no issue with the game
List of things cs2 needs before it will be comp ready: working vac, hitreg fix, movement update, community servers and alot less attention to skins and alot more to make consistent updates to gameplay and smoothness. (So basically csgo but with graphics update and nothing else)
You have the right mind set, but you're spreading misinformation. The pros don't have contracts that prohibit them from voicing criticism; for instance, S1mple has been very vocal, and he has a legendary status amongst the community, but MANY pros have been vocal - I'm honestly quite shocked how much you've managed to lie here. Second misleading statement is that Valve is making the game more oriented towards esports. Yes, the esports scene is growing, however that is true for EVERY game that has esports right now. What Valve is after is plainly obvious: Money. From a purely financial standpoint CS2 is a huge success. From a gamer's perspective it is a disaster. The only way we as individuals can change the game, change the way how Valve's been treating us and CS, is if we stop playing, stop paying, and remain to voice constructive criticisms.

This game is going downhill not only because of valve but also its content creators. If it mostly consists of gambling and drop farming then content creators are literally the ones to blame. Promoting this stupid shit everywhere, even on this video. There isn't a single CS UA-camr that doesn't have a gambling promotion, so the same people crying about this shit are literally the cause for valves carelessness. Theres no need to do anything if this shit keeps pumping them infinite money. CS community is starting to rot from the core...

Serious Answer:
The last time counter strike actually got into panic was when Valorant got released. They thought that it would kill their game, so they started improving tiny things and adding new little features and fixing some mapping bugs etc REALLY QUICKLY.
I guess we need another counter strike competitor for counter strike to take the community seriously again.
Val already taking players 😂
i quit cs2 after the release and its been a year since i deleted the game. I cant believe it that cs-go already nostalgic for me even tho i started playing it in 2020. I have my old clips & funny moments with this game, now its like lost memory RIP CS-GO.
imagine a whole year, and the game just keeps getting worse than their previous update. Fact is only the skin market keeps this "game" alive at this point.
it would be nice if cs2 can add back small events like halloween, smissmass which those things affect texture stuff. we aint asking major updates, even small minor updates is fine. while its ironic to see cs2 community becoming like tf2, its definitely not healthy at all

i just stopped playing cs, when csgo was a thing i could not go a week without playing because i just wanted to feel good playing, but with cs2 it just felt like a chore and it's very boring, not to mention that whenever you have a good day and carrying the team and having fun playing at any moment someone can just toggle and ruin your entire day, but then you go to faceit and it's just incredible tryharding that is not fun anymore (deleted my faceit account a couple months ago after getting to 3500), now i just don't want to play the game it's almost dead to me, when i want some cs2 i watch videos and recently i've seen esl pro league which was fun to watch.
In CSGO I'd duo queue in wingman on de_lake with a friend for years, or hop on community servers... most fun I've ever had. Nowadays I just divide my time between playing KZ alone, and grinding to 2k on faceit so I can get it over with and quit for good.
@@aeronautisch they don't even bother to add best wingman map in the game
They should just bring back community servers in csgo, not valve servers. Makes it a lot easier for surf servers and other customs (porting maps is a pain and ramp bug is still a challenge) and faceit could have csgo servers again. Would make the community very happy so valve has way more time to bring out updates, since no one will really care if it takes them another year just to bring back train since they have csgo. People would probably buy skins more too if they brought skins back to csgo imo. Idk I only started playing cs in like 2022 though and have only really played casual since then anyway
I still remember the first operation for CSGO, Payback. 7 community maps and they were all fun. I hate that Valve has let it become so stale.

Pros say bad things about the game all the time, CS2 is a competitive game so map fixes/changes are major updates, operations and cases are more so for the community. If there is an update for today it would be later in the day as valve loves always pushing any big updates much later. I just want cache back
On cache I agree. I really liked that map.
Devs are leaving. Never doing big changes that needs to be done. Only small easy changes. Cs2 is on a decline 😢

@@eightbo Yep pretty interessting what the devs or the player of the largest community do and how everythings turns out.
But still until the ship is still swimming in the sea, sinking slowly wont be the problem if u can reach the harbor in the end of the day
That is literally not a lot of people, especially considering most are bot accounts.
As a game tf2 is finished , complete , doesnt really need anything ese added ( although it would be nice )
Meanwhile Cs2 is NOT finished .
No other game scratched the headpopping itch for me that cs does.
I've personally REALLY enjoyed a game called The Finals. It's devs listen to the community always, we get store updates and balance changes every single week and we just got the biggest content update so far. I've completly stopped CS2 cuz of TheFinals..
I want old community server browser back 😢
I find it funny how no one complained that CS2 was not a separate release. Because if Csgo was still playable and players had a choice between the two, CS2 would probably be DOA. And i couldn't care less about what would happen to the inventories of (man)children who paid way too much money for pixels that they never owned in the first place.

I am not waiting.
I enjoy other games, while CS2 for me is just a job.
Source 2 is almost 10 years old by now. Its not that great of an engine to be completely fair.
New source 2 can then maybe also create a brain for you to use :)
Logged in to cs2 once at release. There are some cool things, but for me personally it was always shooter > rest. Since it's not playable, will wait for couple years and then come back.
Rip cs2
I'm dedicated to still improving and to become an S tier player, but holy shit Haix, you are right. I tried a full month (only CS2 training until gameplay with my team), it was very fun to see rapid improvement, but the last week was a bit boring and the next month was just less training (I still do it because I have to).
The game is not in a great state but also the creator is out of touch with the "casual gamer" this dude makes a living out of this game... same as pro players.

That’s why Valorant is the best option right now ;)

I’m quite new to the game so I’m having a good time with it since I’m quite new.
Thank God for bringing attention to the water on Ancient. It’s such a problem for my high end PC when I’m streaming.
Valve should do something similar to a hardware ban so when a cheater gets vac banned (if so) he wouldnt have the option to cheat on another account
