as someone who switched to pc, im finding myself wanting to move back to console. ive got a very beefy pc, i can run everything high-max settings at 1440p. buuuut for me i get too distracted on pc, AND i work 40 hours a week, 10 hours a day so i just cant sit at my deck after work anymore. i also HATE having to deal with all the launchers of pc gaming. other than that, i love pc

@@5-OTT.s-ON-A-KICK I've done this. I've done it with a 4060 laptop and a 3070ti desktop on a 4ktv with a wireless 8bitdo. I'd prefer an experience that it launch and be done with it. Sadly with my computers running windows, it's never going to be click and play. And both of my computers are Nvidia so bazzite isn't an option to try using steam game mode. Plus I'm very picky with how games look and run and I usually obsess over frame rates. Meanwhile I own a PS5, switch, and Xbox sx and I've started to slowly integrate back into that. Xbox for 360 games/last gen games that were on PS3 as I'd like to avoid having to use my PS3 lol. My PS5 for basically every other game, and switch for exclusives and Skyrim bc I like the basic barebones switch port. I grew up with a PC from windows 95 days and around 2013 time I decided to ditch my xbox 360 for a pc but something dragged me back towards the Xbox one and ps4 (I was more into super social online games like COD with my friends). I am having a blast with The First Descendant on Steam and even though I have a AMD Radeon RX570 8gb graphics card knowing how old that card is it can still run everything at 1080p on Ultra. However The First Descendant did not like being stored on my internal PC hard drive but it runs perfectly on my nvme ssd. one thing, there is a reason why there are many 3rd party games are timed console exclusive because its way easier to focus fully on one fixed hardware during game development especially with very demanding projects and then port to pc since the production schedule is very important and its easier to port already completed code to pc than having simentoneasly working on both consoles and pc
@@JacoB-wp4ws That's not the reason why, they release on console first than on PC for that reason. Exclusives that stay on consoles are exclusives because the console manufacturers pay the studios what they think they lose by not publishing on PC. But that is changing, for example Square Enix announced that they will no longer make PS exclusive games. In other words, console manufacturers pay for exclusives because without them, the console value is too low.
@@Raphy_Afk Though I will say and the point of my video is that the value of a console looks low regardless of what they do now simply with price, availability of games and needing to repurchase digital media after upgrading, games lost to upgrading platforms or no longer being supported, etc. it's like they want for this to happen.
@@Deadeye2055 I agree with all of that. I have switched to Pc during covid and I wouldn't even think about going back on consoles. On top of gaming my Pc allowed me to discover new hobbies like gen AI and 3d printing.

At this point with how expensive consoles seem to be coming, can we really consider the PC platform to be the "master race"? Cus usually the context with that is the idea that only a few people can play on high end PCs due to their price. At this point, its really just the BETTER race lmao $700 is ridiculous for a system you still have to pay $80 a year to play on(the absolute cheapest price for yearly PS+ is $80, the price ranges upwards of $160). Math incoming: In the end, after 6 years of owning a PS5 pro, you've spent more than $1500 (assuming that you might swing from the $80 to the $130 or $160 dollar price range, that extra $800 is actually just the median of the three prices multiplied by 6) playing on a system half as fast as a $1500 PC you could've spent the money on. The 6 years FYI is about the age of a medium/high-end system like a 1080ti (which still holds up)from a few years ago or a 4070 super in todays time. Not only that, but most PC upgrades usually just mean switching out a few hardware components which would be like~$700 assuming you're sticking to that mid/high-end rig and the same cycle continues with a PC simply being a better investment.
