Super nice video with loads of good information! Thanks Rob and nice fishing at Prado! I did great at Big Bear April 2nd. Lucky to find shoulder parking too gish along North shoreline past the Red House. Tight lines!🎣
@@SeaSpankerOutdoors right now is really good Springer fishing for chinook salmon in the Columbia river still got some steelhead fishing going on bro tight lines stay fishy Redmond OREGON
no surprise that bright orange is a goto color for trout cuz i was getting more bites on orange power bait than any other color....even when i was gutting my trout i found a orange earplug in its stomach so they definitely just like bright orange
The bite in big bear is insane right now, u should try to fish it. I limited out in an hour. Lost a couple of fish. Non stop bites, never experienced such a good bite
Haha yeah thats my fishing disability. Im self taught from when I was a kid. Its incorrect and hinders my casting distance. Ive tried to correct it but ive been doing it that way for too long i guess haha
from my expriences, rain does something to bass and trouts but heavy rain and storm shut them down all based of my observation from fishing from the north.
Interesting. I forgot to mention in the video that ive noticed in the mountains that the fish dont seem to mind the pressure change pre storm but in lower elevation it shuts the bite down typically
@@SeaSpankerOutdoors yeah all I do is mini jig and drop shot these days but I have a couple 8’ elixir’s by Phenix. Wondering how much better they are than those I guess
not at the mud hole fished in the rain and only got about 6 fish did the overnight and was supper dead the next day no one was catching got to wait a week for water to clear
Yeah the mud hole is definitely a tough one after a rain storm but ive had a few slay days there on the first day of a rain storm. The problem there is they get ALL the runoff from the riverbed system
I no longer prostaff for RHA. Still love Luke and the spoons though. The old code is GETHOOKED if you spend more than $25 with that code you get 10% off but i dont know if its still active
I say yes..! Fish don't care if the sun is up or not... Steelhead fishermen in Canada fish in freezing rain, sleet, and snow blizzards...!
Right on!

Lol, i never thought of using orange foamie ear plugs but i guess they float and look like bait 😂
Something about when it rains that makes fishing good. Once fished in the rain up in the Sierra's and had a good day.
Yeah the fish seem to love it

Great video rob..
Thanks brother 🤘
Was that Prado were you were fishing at..?
Yup good ol Prado Regional
I noticed @ 13:27 that you casted "upside down". Did you do that for a reason or was it just random etc?

Amazing! What lake is that?
Prado Regional Park in Chino
Are the katanas worth the money? Is there any kind of warranty on them if they break?
Absolutely. Outstanding rod if your into throwing mini jigs and dropshoting for trout. There is no warranty at this point that I know of

@@larrytovar8598 i have a few elixers as well and the Katana’s are way better. More sensitive and much lighter

Without a doubt
Unless there is lightning
Haha indeed 🤘
Reason for not netting drop shot ?
The way the rig is set up when the fish thrashes in a the net it usually tangles and destroys the rig. So I usually only net the bigger ones.
Chunky bro
Haha indeed sir 🤘
The only problem I have when fishing in the rain is all that slippery mud
Yeah if it wasn’t for the mud it would definitely be a more pleasant experience haha
