@@victorialopez2964 the problem lies when some kids insist on their parents buying them a dress their parents can’t afford and not even willing to chip in. I saw an episode of SYTYD where the kid went for an over budget dress and her mother cried cause she can’t afford it for her child but she still insisted (entourage was no help at all) and eventually she came home without a gown. I was heartbroken for the mom.
@@victorialopez2964 it depends, a lot of times, people are this show end up being super ungrateful about their parents buying a lot of the stuff and they just keep pushing for their parents to go above and beyond the budget

She gave him a list of things she wanted in a dress, and none of the things he pulled matched them. He didn't even listen to the bride, just her price range.

I didn't think the dress was ugly but it was not at all what she had asked for. If I were wedding dress shopping I would not want to set a "limit" but I would want to see the good deals. If you had a budget of $1000 and a dress that you loved was $1025 it would take the dress out of the running. But if you set the budget high they would only bring the more expensive dresses.

I think at first she thought she wouldn’t like anything that wasn’t expensive and they did that to show her that the right dress wasn’t about being expensive. She also wanted sexy and I think they put her in the 2nd gown to show her that may not be exactly what she wanted to feel either. By the time she was in their pick, she was open to what made her feel like a bride & she looked stunning ✨.

@@kaitlynnsylvester9312 if you choose to get married, you can also choose what you want to spend your money on when it comes down to it, whatever you want to wear, eat, celebrate, location, guests etc. All it takes is sitting down with your partner to work out how you want to celebrate your wedding, how much money you can/want to spend.

For real! I saw a video about a girl going to a normal wedding dress shop, and the dresses were so unique and so pretty! And they were sold for a reasonable price too.
I love how they disregarded everything she said she wanted from the start with the first dress and made their initial big selection based on the unlimited budget, and then tried to spin it like they were teaching her that it wasn't about the price, as if she'd wanted in a said "I want the priciest dress in this store" and not "I want a plunging neckline."
My initial reaction to her was one of judgement, since she's very strict in what she wants and she made that clear from the start. One minute in, I realized how stupid that thought even was, and I immediately started rooting for her. It's her special day, she's saved up money so she could buy herself the perfect dress, and she actually turned out to be really sweet. It's also amazing how she's found *her* dress without having to spend too much money. Imo, it was the dress that fit her best as well, and it looked nowhere near the price tag it was given when compared to the other dresses. I'm happy she gave herself the freedom to be picky.

What I find in the US/UK shows is that if the bride has an unlimited budget, that goes with unlimited gall. And a big dose of 'gee, I'm a special princess and you are all minions'. But hey, they talked her into something in three tries. So, they don't 'jack them up' here?

This store literally has all the virtually same dresses with different price tags.😭 I could never shop around these consultants.
Because a same design can be bought in atleast 4 different price range, depending on the type of fabric used, the quality of the fabric, if the design/details are machine made or handmade or if the blings used are crystal or just glass beads or if the price includes the cost of the veil or not and many more things. Plus if a store says that they provide free alteration then you can assume that they have already included the cost in the price of the dress regardless of if you need the alteration or not.
I love that she’s like “I will spend whatever I want” like she deserves it. Work hard for what you want.
With all the money she thought of spending on the dress, she could just go to Lancashire and get a way better dress for herself. This dress is just like every other dress.

I have letters from clients saying: "Thank you for helping us get what we needed and would fit our requirements even though what we liked & thought we wanted was much more expensive". You fill your CLIENT'S need, not your own. With that attitude, your return business might not be so great. A happy person will tell 4-5 people. An unhappy client will tell 7-8. Personally, I want my clients happy.

Imagination is a stronger aphrodisiac than acres of skin, especially too much skin when it is most inappropriate. Christmas presents would be far less exciting without the wrapping. I like the sharp contrast of that pure white dress and the simple lines, but it made her look wider than her natural proportions. There's nothing amiss with her figure. She needed a similar gown but with more slenderizing lines.

That's because Christine Dando owns "Confetti and Lace," the dress shop used in this video. At least one of her designs has to be shown on each episode (only what I figured out when I realized she owns that shop, and a number of others in the US and other places).

Quite disappointing that in David's opinion being sexy only means showing as much skin as possible and even the hem of your underwear. There aro so many ways of being sexy even if your undies remain under the dress.

To be fair, "sexy" (in the physical aspect only) often refers to the amount of skin showing and where it shows (ex. Chest is widely considered sexier than ankles). So personal preference may have people say "lace is sexy" or "modesty is sexy" but it's impossible for the consultant to know that's what the bride means if all they say is "I want sexy"

the number of brides that say they are "edgy" and "different" and "not like every other bride" but really are just a normal bride is huge. Everyone wants to be a special little snowflake but most of us aren't
Since she had an unlimited budget, she's likely to buy another, more "edgy" dress, elsewhere, if she later realises it wasn't quite what she wanted.
What people think that they want and what they actually want can often be very different...
She seems high maintenance but also really personable if that makes sense. She just seems to like luxury. I hope she goes for a veil because it would tie it together but she looks gorgeous regardless.

I like the fact that she learn that having a high price tag is not everything. I also loved her personality that she was honest of the white dresses. I also like the fact that the one sister said no in a kind way. Not like other people would be bashing the future bride. This family seem to be very humble.
I see Indians usually don't have a fixed budget. I've been watching Nazranaa diaries for quite some time and even their brides don't come with a budget in mind. I think because for Indians wedding is what they've been saving for a lifetime and they're ready to spend all their money for a wedding even get a loan

No it's because only super rich Indians come to these shows. It's definitely not the same for the majority like me. And this family is a Patel, and I am yet to know of a Patel who are not super rich hehehe
