  • In this video I'm tackling a completely different project. Over the next couple days I'll be renovating our 2004, model 2619 TrailManor Trailer. TrailManor's are a slide out or pop up, hard side trailer, unlike soft, tent style pop up trailers. The hard sides make TrailManors much quieter and warmer inside. Our goal is to paint, put up new curtains, recover the couch cushions, put in new vinyl flooring, install peel and stick subway tile on the walls and install new counter tops. We hope you enjoy our work. Please ask questions or if you have suggestions I'd love to hear them. Eventually I'm hoping to install Solar panels and some new electronic upgrades such as USB ports etc.
The material I use on the roof is Flex Seal Liquid White purchased at Walmart. Several other trailer reno pages recommended Lap Sealant but I couldn't find it anywhere and we were in a bit of a hurry due to a time crunch.

I have enjoyed watching your videos. Your raider looks amazing!! I recently acquired a 2720 SL. I am working on renovating this all by myself 🙄. I would like to reupholster the couch as there is a year+ wait at the only upholstery place in town. Do you know how to remove the couch arms? I have not figured that out. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time!

At first I thought white paint? Not the best looks…but then I thought functionality…I bet it’s a little cooler in hot weather.

Hey Jack, I totally get where your head is at, and I will say I have had to invest in some of those magic eraser things to deal with scuffs, but overall it really hasn’t been too bad. And YES, I believe it keeps the trailer cooler to some degree. I really wish I could add some sort of ceiling insulation but with me being so tall I’m out of luck on that.

      Hi Paul,
I’m pretty sure Episode 3 of the TrailManor remodel series covers the floor. ua-cam.com/video/h8ORyUYdnxo/v-deo.html Check it out and let me know if you have any questions after. And yes, a year later they still look good.

hilo just raise up, didn't give any extra space on the front and back like the trailmanor. The latest hilo model don't even have a bathroom.

Paul, Sorry for the delay..... the walls we just used plain old BEHR white Marquee semi gloss paint on the walls. We did 2 coats of KILZ primer before the paint. The cabinets are semi gloss, PPG Brigade paint.
