I'd take the L here. Immortality alone is enough, but super abilities and wealth make it even better. For blood, instead of innocent maids, I would first try donated blood, using my wealth to fund artificial blood creation. If the blood has to be fresh and real, then I would try animals, or if need be, use my influence to traffic the worst criminals like a bloody uber eats.

@@X-SPONGED Blood is blood. Having sex doesn't effect the blood in any way unless your partner gives you a bloodborne disease. The most you can say is there is a dump of epinephrine and cortisol during an orgasm, but that doesn't last long and doesn't effect the blood. Don't know where that bullshit came from in the first place, but it's really fucking weird. There is no difference between the blood of a virgin and an experienced person. None whatsoever.

I just realized why the older lady said the lady of the house passed away recently, because they are vampires and even though the lady died around 80 years ago, it is still recent to them considering that they are upwards of over 1000 years old. I didn't understand when I first saw it in theaters but it's easy to miss if you don't know that they are vampires off the bat

@@ariaxrose1 there wasn't really a rush. The only reason why it seemed fast is because there would be no reason to drag it out after they got her down there LMFAO. They literally had to wait for her to up load her DNA to a database. They were looking for someone, anyone not specifically her, it just so happened to be her that used ancestry. They waited almost a century
How do you know she died 80 years ago?
Even if your wealthy recently discovered family are not vampires they could still be human traffickers. Honestly the whole “I’m your cousin, let me take you to England” story should have raised a thousand red flags anyway.
I mean look at Epstein Island, scariest thing is that this is not too far removed from reality minus the vampire stuff

I think as long as I had the freedom to go outside and interact with others, even if the family didn’t fully trust me or let me talk about the vampire stuff, I would take it as an opportunity to attend expensive universities and take up as many hobbies as I’d like over the next thousand years lol. I guess being forced into it is awful, but if I was approached with the illusion of choice I’d probably go with it tbh

25:00 This is one of the rare cases where i actually think the way the story's protagonist handled the fight at the end is actually better than How to Beat's plan. Evie set a fire, seriously injured Walter but didn't kill him and then escaped. This resulted in many of the participants fleeing the wedding and only a few actually staying on the task of trying to keep her prisoner. Because of the power Evie still has she is able to outrun any human cult member that did think to stay on the task of keeping her prisoner, survive the first vampire's assault until they start fighting and kill eachother off and is also probably the only reason she is able to beat the butler who gets the jump on her with a spear. After all the other threats are dealt with she kills Dracula which makes her lose her powers as well. If she had taken Dracula's power and then immediately killed him she would have lost her powers while she's still stuck in the back of the church with an entire potentially pissed off cult after she just killed their leader. Also the cane plan hinges on every vampire in the room somehow reacting slower than a fresh turned vampire who has no experience using her powers.
with his plan you'd already be in your house or possibly wouldnt even know about that guy

Hmm, but it seem's only the Lord and the three wives can be turned. Either if that is tradition or how their curse works. Since all four would be more powerfull when they were together, while with one wife down ya would be weaker. So your frined would die a mortal life, while you continued to live as part of a harem to a man who seem to control you.

She was already voluntarily kissing him by day two, literally all he had to do was be normal and charming for a month and offer to pay off her student loans, but instead he did all of this in the weirdest way possible for no reason.

i love how they tried to make it forced by going with the "ow you're the wife now and let's kill people in front of you right away" because it would have been too got for most people to relate as to why you would refuse.
if they took their time a bit, he already formed a level of relationship, maybe take to a different place on a trip to show her around and form a relationship, he can go to America continue to the relationship and in a year's time with his skills built up from centuries he can bamboozle her into wanting to get married, nevermind all her friends would be tellling her to marry him after they see and talk to him plus knowing that he's rich.
then after turning her into a vampire they would ease her into killing, even then it's not like she needs to kill, she just needs to be decensitised so maybe killing enough "bad" people first and then going to a more and more grey area

I once had a friend who was from a very wealthy family, and lived in a big house that was set up for servants to come and go unseen. Of course, the servants were long gone, and they converted what was once the servant's quarters into guest bedrooms, game rooms etc. These were not the type of people who wanted servants. They were just wealthy enough to own such a huge old house. Trust me, they knew where all the old servant passages were. They used them as shortcuts around the house. Anyone owning a house like that would know exactly where the servant passages were, whether or not they actually had servants.
They had a maid who would do the housekeeping, but she was a family friend and was well paid. They absolutely would not have wanted people waiting on them hand and foot and out of sight like the house was designed for lol

Watching this makes me want to see a movie with a similar situation, but the protag. believes they are in a horror movie, trying to escape, killing the family, only for them to be 100% her family with no malicious intent. It ends with her driving away in the back of a cop car, looking back at the manor realizing she just killed her family due to paranoia.
I mean I'm a guy but id still take that vampire life 👀👀. Marry me mi'lord.

The biggest issue with this movie is that we did not feel the betrayal the way the character was supposed to feel it. We should have seen more of the connection to her mother and the effect of her passing. We should have felt more of the relief she had in finding a relative. We should have felt her desire for family even though she has a BFF who acts like a sister. We should have seen more seduction between her and the antagonist. And we should have seen her falling in Love, not falling in bed. This would have made the betrayal reverberate and add to the horror. I personally don't think they should have made him Dracula but rather the son of Dracula. That would have left room for a part two of him running to his father for help and somehow creating an all-out war. Because she becomes a huntress. I still would have liked them to fall in love in the end though but with a number of casualties involved.

If I’m being honest, being the only poc in an all white gathering (especially if everyone is very wealthy through generations) I would be on edge the entire time. Honestly the moment something started to feel off beyond the initial situation I would already be notifying my friends and family back home of all my concerns.

ngl... I'd probably be interested in becoming a vampire. My one (technically two-part) question would be, "do you know whether souls exist, and if they do, what would becoming a vampire do my soul?" If the answer is they don't have proof of the existence or impact on a soul, or if the soul gets kicked out or in some other way is not directly impacted by the change... bring on the bloodsucking (I'll pull a Marius-vigilantism method of feeding if my soul stays/doesn't exist and I don't go insane). If it guarantees damnation cause there actually are souls and hell is real... then yikes, on so many levels.

I know I’m late, but as the daughter of a retired banker, whose mother had lots of great stories from work. Honestly, I would’ve thought they were trying to kill me, but not a vampire/ monster/ supernatural thing, but to eliminate me, a long lost relative, from being able to claim against an obviously very large will/ estate.
Edit: some of these ways to get out or ridiculous. So I’m supposed to stop turn into a botanist and look for Oleander to poison myself, whilst being chased by a bunch of vampires?!… entertaining, but…. mkay.
8:40 the thing is you're going in to this knowing there's a creature in here, however had you not known that you wouldn't be thinking about these things and would've gone into the manor with a normal mindset and most likely been killed/whatever they're trying to do to her

Killing the vampire that turned you before you consume human blood is also a thing in vampire mythology.
Also if you have to until you do kill the main vampire you can live on animal blood so you don't consume human blood.
