Thanks!
Brings back memories lovely ferry shots
My favourite ferry in the world! And you certainly had a better day for it than we did 😁 I have a feeling that Hebridean Magic might be conspiring for us to bump into each other very soon... 😉
Every chance....
I used to use the ferry before I moved over to Northern Ireland, this video gave me a bit of nostalgia from all those times I’ve been there. 10/10 video loved it!
Thanks a lot
I think Calmac ferries are the best. Had a lovely crossing from Ullapool to Stornoway and enjoyed the other isles too. Have subscribed today!
Thank you!
Lovely crossing. It's been decades since I went on a ferry, but I always enjoyed it. It's good that dogs don't have to be kept in a crate, unlike on some other companies ferries. Poppy looked very happy bounding up the stairs!
Fantastic series you have here folks, making me very homesick!
Thanks a lot. Can't wait until we go back.
Thank you, the scenery is spectacular.
Looks very relaxing. Enjoyed watching, thanks 🙂
Enjoying watching your travels Bob, although I don’t comment on every one I certainly look out for you releasing them and joining you both on your travels.
Tend to save them up and have a Bob Earnshaw Box Set evening !
Thanks for taking the time and trouble to do all these it’s much appreciated
Enjoy your tour and love how “Pops” takes it all in her stride
Best regards
Howard
Thanjs, I've not heard that one before. A Bob Earnshaw Box set. Lol.
Im going north uist in few days and I can't wait..Great video, scenery looks lusy.. good job, from the cotswolds
Enjoy exploring a wild place!
Great, we get our new camper van tomorrow and on your route Tuesday next week after a night in Glencoe and Skye.
Wish I was there!
Unfortunately you are not in the most densely populated area! Hope it gets sorted soon x
Phew. Just managed to hop up to Harris as you arrived. I've really enjoyed the last week here, have a good time! I always checked when people called "Poppy" on sites, seems a quite a popular name?
Yes, Poppy keeps meeting other Poppys.
There's lots of pets around called Poppy!
THAT WAS JUST OUTSTANDING !!!!!!!! : o Question : where they going to put that big long tour bus and that freight truck on the boat - at the same time ???? ......... they were waiting to leave the island ....... is the ferry able to carry all that weight ?????? looking at the ferry from the outside it does not look very big ???? : / ........ Peace on Earth : ) ........
Seemed a fairly big ferry to us I suppose, wasn't fully loaded though. Very smooth crossing.
Hi bob and Jenny u finely got the sun to come out at last lovely video what was that all about with that van in front of u at the ferry crossing looks like it got expanding foam in the wheel arch abit strange the wonder the police haven't pulled it over cheers as always .kev
It was a delivery van, think a can of expanding foam had opened inside.
We were thinking of going on the ferry but didn't want to leave the dogs and cat in the motorhome. we stop 2 days at uis very relaxing we have 2 westies and a cat with attitude it looks like the ferry is pet friendly. going up again in a couple of weeks ( after the oap blood test a d other examinations) so might make it there yet
Poppy was with us in the pet lounge on the Uist ferry. She had to stay in the van on the Northern Ireland ferry.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo thanks for that information dogs wil be ok then , but we are still trying to get the cat to walk on a lead
Did you find out what the white foam was by the orange van? Glad it was a calm crossing. Thanks for that. 👍😁
It was an expanding foam cartridge that I think had been crushed inside the delivery van. The car parking man had a real moan at him.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo thanks.
looks beautiful , how long was the ferry crossing? seats looked comfier then when I last got a ferry to isle of white
It takes 1hr 30 mins. Seats were very comfy!
Hi Bob & Jenny. Great videos as usual. Can I ask who do you book the outer Hebrides ferry with?
We booked direct with Calmac website. Very easy to do.
Bob Earnshaw Thankyou very much. Safe travels.
Enjoyed watching your tour so far, thanks. Can I ask , do you average one or two nights stay on a site for a 10 day trip?
Probably 2 days if we are travelling a fair distance, although on this tour a couple of sites, we are there for three nights.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo thank you.
2:43 :D
Sorry to hear about your broken window on Twitter hope you get it sorted asap. Don’t let it spoil your holiday
It has rather put the dampers on it... Can't go anywhere in the Motorhome.
Maybe you can go out with bob and Aileen? If there on site now with you.
@@Motorhoming_Fun Yes, they're keeping us entertained.
Bob what was the ferry cost and travel time if Jenny remembers please.
Think it was £121 return. It left at 09:45 and arrived at 11:15.
Hi bob how much was it to use the ferry over to uist just curious thanks.
The ferry was £121 return in June, 2 adults, motorhome.
As frequent cruisers as well as motorhomers, we are familiar with 7 short blasts and one long blast but Jenny’s face was a picture. Just read something about a broken window. What has happened.xx
I do explain in tomorrow's video, but the passenger side window just shattered. Spent the last day and a half trying to get someone to come and fix it.
Bob Earnshaw hope no one was hurt but it certainly puts a damper on your holiday plus quite a shock when it happens. X
@@margaretlewis7125 thanks we're Ok, just wish I could get someone to come and fix the window!
Hi Bob and Jenny, we're watching your islands adventure with particular interest as we're starting our Hebridean trip on Monday when we catch the Oban to Barra ferry - hope our crossing is as smooth as yours! I noticed the tape on your offside Remis cab blind - I've been using "tablecloth clips" to suppress the rattling so I just wondered if the tape is effective?
I put the velcro to stop the blind falling apart, I'm waiting for replacement parts. It helps a little to stop the rattling.
Thanks Bob, good luck with the blind AND the window I've just read aboit
What happened to "expanding foam man/van"? 😂
He was spoken to sternly by the car parking man, but he just drove off and we drove round it. Didn't get time to film it.
I wondered if he had stayed the night?
@@simonbaxter8585 It was a delivery can, completely loaded up/overloaded. There was even a fridge in the passenger seat!
Beautiful island North Uist my favourite, Moorcroft is a lovely sight
Van spraying is a Scottish prank.
