Great to see the old memories. We are probably a similar age.Met my husband in 1971 and married 1974.We have many photos from the “ the old days “ and all being well will celebrate our 50th anniversary next year. As Sandy Denny sung , who knows where the time goes.x
Bob Earnshaw me too, my first Ford was a mk2 cortina, it was a great drive, but rusty as hell. I sold it for £150! Then bought a really solid Mk1 cortina. It was magnificent, despite its age it never had a single issue. I tied it to a sturdy looking concrete post and pulled out the massive dent in the rear! Always regretted selling it, I’m sure it would be worth a fortune today. Since then after working for Toyota and Lexus most of my career I’ve always had a soft spot for Fords. I have a 2011 Focus which seems as indestructible as the MK1 Cortina so until it falls apart, probably never, Ford may be my last car as well as the first!
Lovely to watch and recognise some familiar wallpaper and cushions etc. Its a wonder we could ever relax with all the colour and pattern that we had in our homes then. Great memories, thank you for sharing. 😊
Thanks for sharing, nice to see the older times. Loved seeing all the cars too. I too had a series 3 Landy around that time too, it was a CSW but very sad when I had to sell it as my upper body couldn't cope as no power steering so bought the Defender 300Tdi CSW with power steering and kept me driving for a few more years which I enjoyed..
Hi there you three.....wow that wall paper is very eye catching..🤩🤩..lovely to see your personal photos really enjoyed it as always..great memories..take care xx

@@BobEarnshawMoHo My dad had a new 1980 V reg 2 litre L 4 cylinder Granada, sadly under powdered unlike yours (but was still his and my favourite🍾). I love going to classic car shows and seeing these it brings back so many great memories👌 I keep asking the wife if she fancies one 😉

Wow, I've been following you for a while now, great video's. I've also just realised that you have a connection with Letchworth GC. My wife is from there. Met her whilst I served at RAF Henlow. Small world. We're still happily married, currently living in North Wales.
Thanks for sharing your lovely memories. It's a rare and wonderful thing to see two people who are still clearly the best of friends after so many years of marriage. You're an inspiration :)
It's great to look back at old photo's. Wedding photo's especially to see all who have now pass and remember them. The1970s I was living in Saudi Arabia the land of sun and lots and lots of sand.
Wedding photos just like ours same clothes different faces we were married 76 even had a grey Mini. I am in the Benimar Facebook group a new member name checked you the other day said you recommended the group . Thank you both for another interesting video .
Thank you for sharing the memories. Like your hi-fi. I used to have a Rega Planar 3 based system. Just use high quality PC speakers now with subwoofer.
Thanks for sharing your photos, brought back some memories for me, cars, clothes decor. Don't think people including me print out if even take photos like we used to, stood outside the house or by a new car. Guess we will rely on Google images or hard drives to look at photos, not the same as going through an old photo album. Have a good week👍
I've been enjoying your videos for a while as we have an elderly camper and it's always nice to see how other people use theirs, where you go, etc. But I now see we are of the same vintage. Great videos, keep it up ! All the best from west Cumbria. Pete

Great memories for you both Bob and Jenny just noticing you loved your fords. I was brought up as a child working on most of them in your clip and later on in life having to continually weld them for Mot. Ford escorts where terrible for the battery box acid rotting into the foot well pig to weld due to the electrics fuse box. Great fun you won’t find a grease nipple on the modern rubbish we have now Take care 👍
Ya great when they was new but Mot was welding time, but Vauxhall’s was the worst. Used to have plenty of spares for Ford due to all my uncles working at halewood ford factory . Good old days
I also had a Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48k bought new in 1984 after having a ZX81. I bought the Spectrum for £130 and saved up as I was being paid £25 a week on a Youth Training Scheme. Always fun trying to get the precise volume level to load and save the cassette programmes !
