I'm glad you're one of the very few people who liked them. Most myself included couldn't stand him in the original. His character was harmless enough but his game play just didn't add anything to the party but a liability. And then he has a nerve to betray you anyway.
You can’t make this shit up. I imagined it would look like this during battle!! It’s so animated and cartoon esque. Haven’t played the game yet however I wanna master his play style. He is HARD TO USE! The most Difficult because of his gimmick. But it’s rewarding. Luck he needs so much of this to land powerful attacks. He’s great at stagger increase and pressuring like Tifa. Cloud Tifa Cait Sith Or Aerith Cait Sith Yuffie work
Those fortunes, all three of them were spot on Last minute twists, watching your belongings, and you will find what you seek, but the cost is the loss of the one you cherish
This is why I already said a couple times that the new Remake triology is better than the original. Nevermind the new plot developments about the Whispers and Zack returning and multiple timelines about to merge together and all the other changes to the story - whether they're for the better or for the worse, I really couldn't care less, both versions of this story have plenty of their own unique strengths and problems. What is undeniable though, and impacts both games even more, is how much CHARACTERS are better in the Remake trilogy. Cait Sith is a perfect example of that. I could not STAND Cait Sith in the original. Didn't seem to have any purpose or grander design behind him at all, beyond a rather weak plot twist with him being a drone piloted by Reeve basically. Everything else about him was annoying, obnoxious, nearly pointless or at least ridiculous. But Cait Sith from the Remake trilogy is absolutely AWESOME! He is so charming and adorable, from his design to his movements, his combat system that is so much fun to learn and so interesting, and the VA killing it every single time he opens his mouth... he brings so much charisma and much needed levity to the hyper-serious FF7 team I can't imagine the game without him. When he left the party for a moment, I was legitimately HEART BROKEN. Couldn't be further from my reaction in the original game. I already said many times the improvements that they've made to the characters of Barret, Tifa, Aerith and others were very welcome and needed, but this? That's not even an improvement, that is a complete 180, they've managed to make a character nearly everyone hates to a legitimate mascot of the team. Amazing job, improving a game this great by this much upon remaking it... is very, VERY rarely seen. Great job everyone at Square.
I know this is a Cait Sith post (which I agree with you) but I also wanted to add that Aerith and Tifa friendship moments were basically scraps in the background while we were doing the main story. I love that they bothered to flesh out the characters more when they could have just stuck to what worked in the 90s.
@@kellyraye815 Cloud and Yuffie's too. And Barret and Tifa's. And Red and Aerith's. And so many more. Characters have a TON of new chemistry between them. Remake trilogy is amazing.
I really hope we get to involve both Cait Sith but also Reeve a lot more in the next game. I want Reeve to come and physically interact with the gang! I want him to go. "Hi gang! Woah you're all not giant from this perspective! Except you Barret, you're still a giant!" And the entire gang is a little confused by this random Shinra executive just walking up to them and acting like he knows them. Never forget, Reeve IS Cait Sith, everything Cait Sith sees he sis and visa versa, they are mind linked, and Reeve is the real body.
This was always strange to Me. Like he’s not a real Cat yet we don’t view him as Reeve hardly ever…what about the moogle though. Is it just a toy like Barret says. It can’t talk Puppet X Master Cait Sith is a puppet to a master that controls a puppet of his own the moogle. Such an odd concept. He doesn’t do much in the last segments of the game though. He was so hilarious during the Highwind intro segments with Barret Trying to save Tifa from the gas chamber.
This is a common misconception. Reeve is *not* Cait Sith. They are not one and the same. The lore explains that Reeve gave life to Cait Sith through a magic ability called “inspire,” and occasionally sees through and controls him when needed, however there are times in the game where clearly Cait Sith is sentient and his own person separate from Reeve, because it’s impossible for Reeve to be controlling him always. It also doesn’t help that the Cait Sith betrayal scene in the OG game implies Reeve *is* Cait Sith, but this is just a poor translation of the time and not literal. It’s best to think of Reeve as Geppetto and Cait Sith as Pinocchio. Cait Sith is sentient and his own being, even though occasionally he can be controlled or be spoken through by his creator.
Cait was a childhood favourite as a kid happy that they gave him more screen time to shine in the remake.

5:44 just realized they were talking about the black materia, and keeping it away from sephiroth
Thats the thing with fortunes and such. It doesn't make sense until in hindsight I suppose lol.
And "Your lucky food is mushrooms". It means Gongaga
1:23:10 I love his little "Thank you". He is honestly just so happy and grateful. Great VA they found for him.
Love that he moves in a very Mickey mouse manner. Very suiting for one of the most cartoon-y characters

Your honor I love him (gonna come back to this vid once the game comes to pc and I can actually play Rebirth)

I love they bring funny cute characters to join your party like Cait Sith Riki from Xenoblade Chronicles and Tora from Xenoblade Chronicles 2

At least they gave cath a character then the original one
Not all scenes. Cait sith date scene isn't here

Cute!
1:49:17 you were planning to do the exact same from the start, you don't have the right to
Can you do these in Japanese audio?
