Wow amazing
I wouldn't really be a Carly promoter Alex. Its not fair to the people who buy it with a nasty renewal bill in a years time. You could buy a decent standalone scanner with what you pay for the initial scanner + 2nd year renewal. Not worth it at all.
@@mingguan8685 what would you suggest? I’m buying a Skoda currently driving a Mazda Any that are open for all cars instead of paying to unlock for all brands ?
@@mingguan8685 wdym? they dont mention anything about renewals is there a subscription?
@@luckiic5714 Carly is a subscription service. You have to pay a yearly subscription fee in order to have any useable features available. And by reading some of the other reviews of Carly apparently their customer service is useless/non-existent.
The right blinker while turning left at 11:33 is what we call baby steps in the car community regarding BMW drivers.
😂😂😂
Audi drivers aspiring to this level of unselfishness. But then quickly realise that their cars aren't equipped to make others aware of their intended actions 😂
He accidentally knocked it on when looking for the volume controls for his super bassy stereo. It's the only explanation.
Not to make excuses for shitty driving, but BMW indicator stalks were of a stupid design for most of the last two decades. They don't latch and as the internal stops wear out, it's not impossible for a miscalculated release of the indicator stalk to cause it to spring back in the opposite direction and cancelling them manually is a nightmare. Not something you'd ever do if you were actually paying attention, though. They put the same design of indicator stalk in MINIs in the F5x cars initially and the response was so awful they went back to latching ones within a few years. I noticed the loaner 2 series I had a while back also had a latching stalk so whilst it may have taken them a long time to admit it was a bad idea (I think it probably started on the E6x cars and ended with the first G-coded models) they did get there in the end.
I've noticed that indicator usage in the UK is almost universally awful regardless of car brand in one area though - almost nobody can be arsed to indicate off of roundabouts. At worst, they're still indicating right as they take their exit so you're just sat there with no clue whether approaching traffic is going further round as you approach.
what is blinkers?
The chemistry you have with Jack and Ethan is strong too, but you, Taylor, and Rory as a team is even more engaging and hilarious.
they are funny af. I like Taylor, the guy is hilarious.
Happy to know that there are way more videos coming since its only the beginning.
@@somervillearron enjoy your weekend Aaron 😂

Taylor is amazinggggg
why did alex leave carthrottle
You and Taylor are such a great double act. Fair play to Taylor for actually going on the rollercoaster, he's a man of his word!
24:56 is so fitting
@@Me-zo8yc dumbledore dies

I think you mean Taylor is a man of Alex' word :P
Right???
Not even started the video and I already know the Range Rover is going to break down.
Water is wet
Grass is green
Sky is grey... (in UK)
They hadn't started the channel yet and the range rover was broken.
Yeah, when the pope sh!ts in the woods does anyone hear?
I put this on the tv at home decided right im going to relax and watch this when my dad (he's 60 came round saw the video and just sat down watching it with me. Then it hit me the nostalgia of child me and my young dad sitting down together to watch the early days of top gear. I just want to say thankyou so so much for giving me that powerful nostalgia trip for me and my dad.
Love this ❤️
I’m glad you stopped by the crash site, there’s a lot less there than the last time I was there about 11-12 years ago! My Granddad was one of the small group of RAF stationed at RAF Burtonwood which was a US airbase, he was a new recruit at the time and he had never seen a flying b-29 and was excited to see this one come in.
Sadly they never made it and he said it was what put him off continuing training to be a pilot and instead transferred to the signal corps.
Like you say it’s equally fascinating as it is heartbreaking, thanks for that touching tribute lads.
For everyone else if you go to it don’t take anything but pictures, it’s a tribute to the brave people who flew these kind of planes in the war and afterwards. You wouldn’t take stuff like that from a museum so don’t take it from there.
This needs to become a series. Different auction cars each time and a new destination.
Absolutely brilliant video, love these longer ones!
@@bigduphusaj162 Imo that makes it all the more interesting, within reach to most people, and quirky budget bangers
one word...YES
Congratulations on meeting the height requirements for the rollercoasters Alex!
The cutting in between when Taylor was explaining the repairs of the range rover totally reminded me of the top gear explaining stuff
Same
Of course, all of this daft nonsense Alex does all the time calls Top Gear all over! Which is great!
Taking a Range Rover and a BMW to Liverpool without being stolen is already an achievement itself.
Love that these videos keep it real on cars other people can afford rather than most car channels that start small but then get bigheaded and only deal with supercars. Genuinely is a niche I'm glad to have found on the internet.
Taylor is an absolute treat to watch interact with alex
“With THAT at the wheel” cracked me up 😅
You and Taylor are an amazing duo we need more videos like this they are absolutely brilliant
Taylor is awesome, glad he’s a part of your channel Alex!
I cannot explain the joy and the smile you put on my face Alex whenever I see a new upload from you, every video has me in stitches, thanks for all your hard work. I haven't watched the video yet but I'm assuming the range rover breaks down? 😂
haha, no comment!
"Carly also enables you to unlock hidden features" - shows BMW blinkers
No one gonna use it
This should be the top comment 😂😂
Alex your videos actually give me shivers, The plane wreckage.. Loving your channel, it shows you in a more personal way and it's amazing :)
The on-camera chemistry between you and Taylor is always great to watch, you two are hilarious.
As someone who is also petrified of roller coasters, I could really feel Taylors anguish through this video, unpleasant is a very polite way of putting it!
Alex you have given me the one of fun and laughs and camaraderie that has been missing from a certain BBC program since the departure of the three kings.
Keep it up, love watching your stuff!
Highlight of the episode was around 27:23 with Alex's panic, Taylor accepting his fate, and Rory looking like he is having the time of his life!
Rory’s 535D looks really nice, more interested in the MPG on that though 😉
It’s a 520d I think
@@propa2958 Taylor had the 520D, the camera man, Rory has an E61 535D. They posted more about it on Instagram though.

Yeah the e60's aren't the most reliable cars out there but they're far from as bad as you say here.
I haven't even started watching yet i'm already excited for the banter and laughs, getting taylor on this channel really perfected the old carthrottle and topgear type entertainment
Used to live about 20 minutes from that crash site. We visited it on the 11th of November 2011 for Remembrance Day, the conditions were almost identical to the conditions the plane fell in. Such an amazing site to visit! Top video as usual boys!
Whoever's editing these is having wayy to much fun :D
Love Taylor being on here, hopefully much more to come soon
Taylor is brilliant. We need many many videos with him in.
This honestly reminds me of the good old top gear days!
The chemistry between these 2 is on another level, just like the famous trio.
I’m actually hooked now
Keep the uploads flowing guys
Thanks 😊
30 minute video and might car mods have just started an amazing series.... I haven't got much going on in my life so this is amazing, it's made my month
There are 2 types of roller coaster riders, the quiet one, and the obnoxiously loud one, and here you have a perfect example of both haha!
How about a challenge where, if the car breaks down you have to be towed back to the start and start the entire journey again !Like a Groundhog Day car challenge?? Could be a laugh !!
Hi Alex,
Just to say loving the content however would urge you to adapt the 2 way radios when driving to make them slightly easier to use.
possibly a headset or push button usage.
although there is an exception on two way radios when driving, the police can still pull you over and fine you if they believe its providing a distraction resulting in penalty points or a fine.
Steadily becoming my favourite channel on UA-cam. Ye both get on great and it really comes across on video. I really appreciate how you buy cars that are available to the average punter!
This chanel is so much better than all the take ons of top gear through the years. Witty, engaging, knowledgeable and sarcastic as F...😅😅😅😅 love it!!!
This episode and you guys really made this feel like a good old Top Gear episode. You guys are great, keep it up.
I exhibited some smiles that I've otherwise reserved with Top Gear / GT episodes. Good job mate, you've got a new sub.
This is the only channel (not just the only car channel) that manages to both make me tear up and die from laughter. Amazing work Alex!
The advert beneath this video is for "24/7 breakdown Milton Keynes" 🤣
10:21 and a bit later in the video, that gem is a De Havilland Dragon Rapide, what a cool thing to randomly see!
Thanks for more laughs. Really appreciate you taking time to honor the crew of the B-29 crash. Hadn't specifically heard of it before now. Ironically, today is my last day working with the Air Force here in San Antonio Texas as a civilian. A Marine Corps Veteran myself, I can tell you how very impressed I've been with the people I've worked with in the USAF. They're really an amazing group of warriors. And the AFSOC guys told me some wild stories from their time in Afghanistan. Of course my last day is even better because I'm moving on to NAS Pensacola to make training videos for new Sailors and Marines as they learn aircraft maintenance and mechanics. (And Pensacola has an excellent beach. Meanwhile I've told the city council in San Antonio to rename the city, El Scorcho. I like it warm, but 60+ days of triple digit heat is ridiculous!)
BTW, I rode a rollercoaster called Goliath at Six Flags Atlanta once for over an hour without getting off. The park had emptied after a rain storm. And the staff was OK with people switching seats if someone was in line for the seat you were occupying. Caught a huge buzz of the accumulated g-forces.
Would love to join you on one of those adventures !
This channel is what car throttle should have been
I live near snake pass and walk the dog up there all the time, it's such an impressive site to see those engines and landing gear so well preserved. There are 3 more plane wrecks all within walking distance from there.
I've always been a fan of cars like this. Once expensive, but high mileage and super cheap bargains. Ive had an e39 540i, a w220 s500, a s60 t5, an Audi a4 3.0 quattro, a e36 328i to name a few. None of which were more than 1200 quid. Had loads of fun and crossed Europe in these old smokers! 😎
Great video.
Next time you're up this way, if the water level is low, check out Ladybower reservoir. You can see the remains of some of the old village buildings normally hidden under the water.
Alex, please continue making videos with Taylor. Great content and an absolutely fabulous to watch. Thank you!
One of the best memories of my mum is her screaming to stop the ride while ascending on the Blackpool big one. Loved that place as a kid. Want to go back one day ( Live in Canada now)
Thanks for the well thought video that goes beyond cars. A bit of history and bit of fun in between gives it a great mix
Great stuff again Alex, Taylor & Rory! I know I’m always guaranteed some solid laughs with every vid! Keep up the excellent work boys!!
The Bangle 5 series just gets better and better looking with age. Derided when it was new, looks so good now.
Not to my eyes it doesn't
15:35 Welcome to Sheffield! It is lovely, though I'm not a local. I lived in Harrogate and went to uni here in 2011 (Hallam, Business) and then moved for work (and to be closer to my sister) in 2021 and uni for a second time, next year (University of Sheffield, Law). The hills are crap for fuel economy and brake pad life though.
Brilliant video! You and Taylor work well together. Glad he’s remained a regular.
Lovely, hope you make more of this!
The video is brilliant, very serious and respectful moments in the crash site, and on the other hand loads if funny moments in the rest of the video
Brilliant
Congrats to the video editor too
Well done it looks like Alex is finally found he's stride this has CT+MCM feels
As always Alex great content, but also we all know we're here for taylor lol

Love these videos Alex keep it up! The mixture of comedy, information and occasional deep thoughtful moment warms the heart and raises not only the spirit but the cheeks aswell, at least the ones on the face that is 😉
This is my dream episode!!! Owed a 530i manual for like 3years, had no problems with it! Love the m54 engine
The l322 is a lovley vechile!
Parking lots at the end.
Get yourself a alfa guiletta ! They've hardly been covered on UA-cam.
Maybe the best, unrated hot hatch?
that's because they look like boiled chickens
Please do more of these trips around England. I have never heard of that park before or seen any of these places. Whether you keep using these vehicles or buying more, keep doing these!!!
Blackpool is a very old park with a lot of history attached to it. A lot of the rides are very old & iconic. The Big Dipper (which is the wooden coaster you see them ride) was actually built in 1923 & then extended in 1936. The Big One is also very famous for featuring in the popular Simply Red music video 'Fairground'. Its a belter of a song 👍
You and Taylor have a great chemistry. Loving the new channel, really well filmed too.
I've laughed before at your video's but this was in another league guys, it brought tears to my eyes. To be honest I was surprised that both of them made it to Blackpool 😬😂😬
Loving these series. You guys are doing a great job
I once went to a Commonwealth War Graves site at Suvla Bay on Crete - lovely sunny place and the only place on the island where there was no bird song. Eerie and a place that just overwhelmed me with sadness whilst I was there.
Hearing Alex screaming for a whole minute was the best part of this video
Great fun, Alex! Well done to you and Taylor for this one
Thanks for visiting the historic site, this is one of the reason why your channel is so much better than most of the other youtuber
In the very short time this channel has been created, it as EASILYL been my top favorite show! Love the videos Alex. & Taylor is such a gem too haha
Awesome views from the crash site. Amazing to see how many people still go to pay their respects.
I haven’t laughed as much as this and the previous first video in ages.
Brilliantly funny and the chemistry you guys have is epic!
Please, please keep it up you guys are great fun 👍🏼
Brilliant stuff. I hate rollercoasters too and since my experience at the Leviathon in Canada wonderland, never again.
Would love to see another road trip!
Oh my god - Rory’s 535!! More!!! That’s the best car on the channel! How clean?! That steering wheel! I had an e61 535d and I miss it. Beautiful colour! Go Rory!!
Can tell you're a pair of Southerners when you got to the pleasure beach... A few years ago it was free to get in and wander round, but you'd buy wrist bands or tickets for rides you wanted to go on.
Sheffield is definitely full of hills and traffic, couldn’t sum it up any better Alex. That should be it’s slogan
7:17 My local Maccy'D's! - Fun fact, The outside table/chair furniture for said emporium of fine food came from the 2012 McDonalds at the Olympic Park. So there. As you were!
That’s preposterous mate!
Brake lines on those rovers are easy peasy, don’t need to drop no subframe or fuel tank, back in my Land Rover tech career I could get a set of rear brake lines fitted in less than 3 hours, that includes bleeding the air off the rear lines.
Range rovers and land rovers are super easy to work on as long as the right tools are used. They are Ford/bmw mismatch parts after all.
Taylor is brilliant we need more of him. So funny! Brings a hole load of humour to the videos! 😂
I do need to go on the Pleasure Beach some time, lived in Blackpool a good while. It's a neat place, though in desparate need of a proper cleaning.
Snake pass is a cracking ride out on 2 wheels then come back via wood head pass 👌🏻 I’m fortunate enough to live only 25mins away
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the fact that the Range Rover made an E60 look like a solid reliable work horse.
phew sat at the hospital bored out my brains a new video from Alex should keep me going for a little bit 😁
great to see the guys having fun and a good laugh - despite the coasters LOL 😁
Top video been watching for awhile and really enjoying the way forward this yt channel as gone through..
we went up to that crashed B-29 in the summer this year, when we went it was about 35°C. Amazing visit, but going up there in that heat was a terrible idea
Why is it that whenever I buy a car, I immediately start seeing them everywhere! Just got an E60 after my E39 decided to spit it's guts out, and I repeatedly see 3 or 4 on the road, and now on Alex's channel! Absolute madness
I'd love to see more cheap car challenges or mods or mod updates to the current fleet
11:34 I saw the little meme there, indicating right and then going left, just like the one BMW in California. Nice little detail.
Love it boys, love the road trip, wish I could get into the late 20’s in mpg in my 4.4 V8 L322 RR! Take the tow bar off for the next trip, it weighs at least 10kg ;)
£2000 to buy the Range Rover, £20000 to fix it.
That's the monthly garage bill 🤣
Very interesting .Crazy content and fun to watch .Great upload- thanks Jonny
I go into limp mode when I go into Norwich and I live there 😂 can’t blame the rangey for that

27:34 Rory is having an amazing time on the roller coaster
I have a feeling that you two are one of the best of the teams on a car channel. If you two stay on the right track, keep building your channel and your show, keep working the hard work, i believe you could achieve something like the most famous car trio has.
