Great hunts! I’m still bow hunting elk every year(33 so far) but can only reflect back to the years I was physically able to pull off those tough days. At 66 I’m a bit limited but still giving it my best. Don’t miss any opportunity.
70 yard shot through branches is evidence that even guys who make great videos for prominent outdoor companies make poor decisions sometimes. I’m glad you put it in the video to show viewers that you are fallible. In the end it was all about the determination to get it done and that’s why you found success. Awesome flick.
this has been in my "watch Later" playlist since you put it out. finally got time to sit down and watch it uninterrupted. great Film and well done on the hunts!
Amazing video. The editing was on point. I could not look away.. It really does not get much better than this. Settling the standard for sure. Congrats to both on the amazing bulls.
👍🏼 It was great how you guys captured the journey and camaraderie of hunting . Definitely loved the content and lessons hidden in the ups and downs hunting can and will create. Will films like these be a recurring thing?
Thanks Paul! We will definitely be making more films, probably not more than 1 a year in longer format. The production time to make a film this long at this level takes a lot of time.
@@stoneglacier9636 you guys assembled a heck of a crew to get this film to us. Thanks for the reply and I’m looking forward to more great gear and films
Awesome hunts and video footage... I love archery elk hunting, this video gets me excited. My partner and I have designed a new bow carrying system called the Bow Hitch. It would 100% benefit go getters like yourselves. Thanks for sharing these hunts!! Fingers crossed that I draw an archery elk hunt this year, I’m overdue.
Please make more. Absolutely fantastic, on par (ok better, honestly) with anything else of its kind on youtube or Netflix or Prime (including MeatEater, etc.) Hope you guys make more, can’t wait. Forwarded it to all my friends.
Epic film! I love the perseverance and positive attitude. I have hunted archery elk for three years without success, this year I have a fire lit inside me to get it done. It was awesome to see your hard work pay off. Oh... and the cinematography was gorgeous.
What brand is that sight and what model. The 5 pin on the mathews with the little black slider knob. Also dope video man. Hard work and dedication is what it's all about right
Great video and you capture how hard it can be to take a big bull and even harder, pack him out in the steep stuff. It took us 3 days to process and pack out my daughter’s 5x6 this year and given the terrain getting the meat to the yeti was by far the hardest part. I need bigger kids. (:
Love this video, the story, awesome! Come back to watch it at least once a month to cure the need for being out in the middle of nowhere with a bow in my hands.
What is the map showing behind Zack in his office? Not like the location, but the red and green? Doesnt look like a burn map to me, is it winter vs rut?
Congratulations on making this film! Awesome scenery! The views are breath taken. Bow hunting is tough, let alone shooting a Elk at 1,200 yards. That was a great shot! I'm interested in what caliper and what bullet weight was used? I did see your using a carbon fiber barrel, Proof research barrel for sure. I under stand Bartline barrels is now making carbon fiber barrels. Stay safe and keep up the great work.
No disrespect but when ur shoot fires u want to push straight towards the target not out and to left and around ur really directing that arrow that way I guess if a man wanted to tune that way he could but man u really don't want to tune for mistakes u want to tune for the greatest purest arrow flight
That was an awesome film! I have to say it’s probably the best hunting film I’ve seen from this past season. Congratulations on some awesome bulls and keep up the outstanding work. Is it September yet? Lol
Awesome hunt! Lots and lots of work. Congratulations! Great photography!! I've got a question, and it is directed at a myriad of hunters, but I think you have the ability and vocabulary to answer it: once a bull has been spotted, then decided that it's what the shooter wants. Why is so much time taken to set up a spotting scope and take pictures with a phone skope? Why isn't this time used to get in position?
Often the spotter is only setup to determine if the hunter wants to shoot that animal. If it's a fleeting moment the priority is always setting up for the actual shot.
Some beautiful country you're going through. While it would be respectable to take an elk with a rifle in it, it's absolutely impressive to get one with a bow.

would you please share what rifle and brand/caliber/grain cartridge you used for that last bull long shot? thanks. great work!
It was a .300WBY Mag shooting 215 Berger Hybrids. Gun was a WBY CarbonMark Pro
I loved this film and finding the trees they rubbed on always makes me excited. Great job showing the process of hunting.
Excited to watch this in full!!!

Thanks and awesome to hear on the pack!
Very well done!
I don't even hunt, but I loved this film. Awesome work fellows, great job 👏👍
I took your advice in the beginning with the headphones and it changes everything haha, what a video. Congrats.
What broadheads was zack using? Also great content!!!
Trophy Taker A-Tac was the broadhead shown on the spinning arrow. Don’t know if that’s what was used on the hunt, though.

Glad you liked it Dan! Yes getting a bull out can be a rough deal in some spots!

Just drew a bull elk tag for unit 66a, can’t wait to get out there this September.

What camera and lenses are your guy using?
Well done!
What is the map showing behind Zack in his office? Not like the location, but the red and green? Doesnt look like a burn map to me, is it winter vs rut?
That's just different land ownerships I believe. The map is made by Rugged Maps. We have a half dozen of them around the office.
that's a great video! Nice work!
Well done, the grind makes it worth it👊
It absolutely does! Although an easy hunt sprinkled in is always nice too!
well done guys, beautiful work

as a hunter you could try to get within 2-300 yards of the animal, I know crazy, right?
Awesome guys. Love your gear. Why do you take you bow and rifle back with you on the pack out? Keep up the good work!!!
Awesome video. You guys are great, reminds me of me and my brothers hunting together ❤
Sick video guys! Please keep it going, and film your next with Steve Hallenbeck on a Dall Sheep Hunt in Alaska.
That was a stud bull, congratulations!!
awesome footage! great story ;)
Pretty rad film guys congrats on some stellar bulls!🤙
Thanks Boone!
Rad film guys! Props to sticking to it on a great and hard hunt when a lot of guys would throw in the towel and eat tag soup.
Thanks Kendall! It was a tough hunt but that's what makes success memorable when you find it!
What was that release with that bungee on it? That thing looked low drag
Andrew made that so that he doesn't lose his hinge
Atleast you both move forward! I’m 0/8 years in elk hunting.
Man! great video! Please think about moving around with arrow like that. One mistake could be fatal.
No disrespect but when ur shoot fires u want to push straight towards the target not out and to left and around ur really directing that arrow that way I guess if a man wanted to tune that way he could but man u really don't want to tune for mistakes u want to tune for the greatest purest arrow flight
Seen the icecream cup. Did ya see Randy at the DQ 😄
Haha unfortunately this wasn't at DQ otherwise we might have seen old Randy!

Andrew was using a Kudu Point

Finally moving out of warshington! Spend the rest of my life in Bozeman. Hopefully run into y’all at CrossFit or up on the hill. ✌🏽
Great video, good work on your harvests! You guys should do a sheep hunt video next.
Thanks Miles, we'd love too, just not a lot of guys here with the money to shell out for one. Maybe one day.
Great video, way to stay after them
Freaking Amazing!!
Thanks!
Nice shot on the late bull. Congratulations!
Thanks!
What kind of pants are those that zip open on the sides?? TIA
They are the Stone Glacier De Havilland Lite Pant.
@@andrewwhitney4565 thank you sir!
Why would you take that shot through those branches?
Super cool video beautiful bulls!

Amazing content.... well done. I can't wait for more. And congrats on an Amazing kill.
Thanks!!
I was disappointed in the poor sbot in the rain. You can't track in the rain. I also totaaly oppose long range shooting. You can get closer.
Little WD40 in those tailgate latches will
Help it open easier
Good job men, your bad ass mountain men for sure!!!
Thanks David!
great job.
