Sliver , sky blue , green, red and two tone stands out in the Citroen saxo. This car is very sporty and attractive, and small...I love this car from my heart it's my pride and joy for over 9 years now , it's never let me down till this day ..... the saxo is still my first car till this day believe it or not....and am still smashing the corners in Ma SAXO VTR with loud trance and techno music lol....Fukin have it!!😆
Jay Q the blue colour is called Poseidon Blue, I used to own a 1.4 furio that had the VTR/VTS body kit, I owned it between 2002 to 2007, I added a full custom body kit with full respray + alloys and cat back custom exhaust system as well. I didn’t mess with the engine or suspension. I ended up trading it in for a Ford Focus (got £1000 part exchange) as I was fed up of the Saxo always going back into the garage. Over all, I spent £13000 on everything, from buying it at £7000 + all the maintenance, + repairs and mods. Now’s the perfect time to own a VTR or VTS in standard condition as they are entering classic territory at about 20 years old now!
Love it mate! Fast as fuck. It's my new project/daily. I got it lowered yesterday 60mm front and rear---see my insta page for pics ---> instagram.com/richhickling/
I need the bushes on mine doing and exhaust. I've ordered a new race exhaust for it, so will book it in next week and get them to fit exhaust and do bushes. Also the engine management light came on---silly lights as people call them, will get them to sort that as well.
Everybody who reads this would u agree we need this hot hatch back on the roads ,because it's very rare if you see one, plus it's Hard to find this two tone or maybe nobody ones to sell it ...lol who knows? But I want one in two tone !!
THE DEVIL I agree, Saxo was and still is my first car I got a little 1.1, done a vtr engine swap though for the 98bhp! Done the standards 4-2-1 mani decat and induction, thinking of a cam next or a turbo but I need to start saving, I know mine will never be a genuine vtr but only takes a few changes to make it a proper vtr! I got the body kit on stand by, I enjoy the sleeper look at the moment lmao
@@Snarleydread just remember the cost, parts alone for a reliable engine will set you back 2k minimum to turbo it. No one wants a 6psi setup, and above that it's a lot of cash.
Autocar’s recently published used car buying guide on the Citroën Saxo said that “the UK-spec VTS and VTR really were ‘hot’ Saxos: air conditioning was never an option from the factory for right-hand-drive cars.” So why wasn’t air-con available as a factory-fit option back then for right-hand-drive Saxo VTSs and VTRs, like it was for left-hand-drive cars?
A VTR with passenger airbag (red button on dash)? Was it an optional extra? My 2001 phase 2/MK2 VTR doesn't have one. Thought they were only on VTS's..... 2:45
Pick them up on gumtree for £500 all day. Good ones go for more and vts is about 1,500 for a good clean one. Can get them for 100 but not so good, but the odd really nice one goes for peanuts from time to time.
My mate had a yellow VTR back in 2010 when we all just passed. My god it was basically a lambo to us back then 😂 tinted lights, huge exaust, halfords sub in the boot those were the days. Now young lads just finance brand new cars, no fun
Ellis01234567890 it was written of because Citroen started making ugly cars....so the saxo had to be written of because it was a good looking car and the performance was good to, and I only respect Citroen beacuse of the saxo vts and vtr.
People may rave about the handling and performance of french hot hatches, however both are only useful when its not in a garage getting fixed, somewhere french cars inevitably spend much of their time lol
santclause1 now, now, no need for name calling, not our fault your daft enough to buy a french car, BTW I work in the trade and in a way should be grateful for people like you buying french, as it keeps me in work lol
andylaauk saxos don't normally have engine problems, with the vtr if you knew anything about them in general you would know that the back axle is the most likely thing to go wrong on them, but this can be obviously fixed. Y spending 300 sterling pounds.
I had a Peugeot 205 for about two years in the mid to late nineties. Only let me down once in that yera - and that was down to an aftermarket immobiliser. French cars generally aren;t unreliable.
its an awesome car if you know how to work on it, especially if you dont want alooot of electronics inside your car! :) It has alot of after market parts on the market for configuration by your own. But if you buy a saxo, just get the VTS with 120bhp and only 1010kg (inclusive 80kg Driver)
That background music just screams 2000. Love it.

1:21. Seat belt getting stuck in the clunk clip. 🤣

Any regrets? Getting a vtr sat

In the UK it was a safety pack optional extra. From memory, it cost about £2000 extra for ABS and Passenger airbag.
Didnt UK got the Saxo VTS or the 106 Rallye 16v?
Here in Greece we have many VTSs and rallyes 16v
Ανεξίτηλος there was a 106 GTI which was roughly the same as a saxo VTS

I have a Saxo First (2000) and I had to buy an aux that plugs in to my tape player but I love it!!
No, I had one of these as my first car, I replaced the stereo with one that has a USB port
