Rena is a decent, softspoken and beautiful lady.
What a strikng lifestory!!
She must be 83 now.
Wish her healthy, happy peaceful years ahead.
This courageous woman is just strikingly beautiful.
Well... Check out Melissa Monet. Youll like ;)
@@Lbhacksaw Something DEFINITELY wrong with your sense of beauty. Sorry she is strikingly beautiful and the GRACEFUL demeanour she has only MAGNIFIES that !
I agree !!
She’s beautiful inside and out. Such courage and strength she had to use in order to survive.
This lovely lady looks like she is only 50 or so, not in her 70's !! wow !!
I think she's 60 in this video.
Yap
She was either 59 or 60. This was recorded in 1998 and she was born in 1938.
She has youthful looks💕
She is stunning. Bless this beautiful woman. 🙏🤲🏻🌻
Omg, her beauty is just breathtaking!
All shot in 1990's when I was in my late 20's never had any interest in history at that time my grandparents knew people who experienced the Holocaust but I never asked about it just wasn't talked about. My grandparents and their friends all long passed away more then 10 years ago I miss them I wish I could ask them about it now. I'm glad the Shoah foundation was able to get these interviews when they were still young enough to talk about it.
I watch a lot of these testimonies and she is the most Inspirational person I have ever seen.
About the couple in the forest, they did not talk to her to protect her, the less she knew the better, they had to show her how to survive. Also, if she got attached to them, it would be harder to go back with her parents. They didn’t know better.
God bless you for sharing your story so sad to listen to you have remembered so much xx
Humanity at its worst. That poor woman, and her beloved family. 🙏🏼
What a beautiful woman she is! Courageous.🌺🌹🕊
May God bless this lady, thank you so much for your testimony.
What a profoundly beautiful testimony I pray blessings to her and her family
The interview sounds very clinical for good reason. The purpose of these interviews are for historical documentation and requires as much exact information as possible. In other words, exact spelling of name, date of birth, etc... These video interviews were not originally designed for UA-cam entertainment. Rena was born in 1938 and interview was done in 1998, that makes her 60 years old. Yes she is a beautiful lady and looks great for her age (Like J.Lo). The experts call people that age well “Super-Agers”. Hope this helps but don’t believe me, do your own research as this is a club we’d all like to belong to. 😁
Agree with everything, but great for her age? She looks great period
she is a beautiful , courageous woman
Denise Sep I’m mesmerized by her beauty and pained by her experience.
Just let this poor beautiful woman tell her story
How come the audio is better for the interviewer than for the survivor. They need to reverse.
Rena is a brave woman
What a beautiful woman, it is amazing how young she looks !
another mediocre interviewer. She asks question the survivor already answered. Is she listening to her? Annoying, takes away the importance of those testimonies. The foundation could have done better recruiting and training the questioners
Totally agree! Lousy interviewers. The survivors of such traumatic experience deserved better.
I do not know the etymology of the name Rena here. However Rena is actually a Hebrew word and it means Joy.
Maybe it's an abbreviation of Polish name Renata?
Dziekujemy za podzielenie sie z nami swoimi przezyciami, jakze traumatycznymi.
Very Interesting story. Thank you for sharing. Very lovely lady
Meldrad is an excellent interviewer. I would love to meet her.
The interviewer is a complete idiot, asking questions that had already been answered. Fair play to this beautiful woman, to answer such silly questions, when she been through hell and back!! What a wonderful Woman ❤️
Yeah the best interviews are free flowing or with few questions sprinkled here and there.
There is probably a little bit more going on. The interviewer goes for absolute clarity and therefore asks her questions in that manner. These testimonies get recorded and stored in the archives, they need to be as precise and clear as possible. As with regular movies there usually are several takes, outtakes, etc. It´s not as easy as it seems at first glance
You completely misunderstand the purpose of these interviews. They're to capture the testimony of survivors for posterity, not to be conversational and pleasing to the viewer. You can't watch raw footage and then complain that it isn't edited.
No one talked to me either. It was the era of children are to be seen and not heard. Children were considered chattel in most countries.
Great story so much detail for a child. Even know the lack of emotion seems odd.
83... Are you still here?
I cannot stand the fact that I can hear the interviewer mouth breathing 😡
I am from Sanok! Beautiful city :)
May I just say this lady is strikingly Beautiful
It sounds like the interviewer is eating during this interview!
She is so beautiful and elegant
Man, that interviewer....didn't even listen properly to what the lady said...
They picked the worst interviewers. It's puzzling!
She’s gorgeous!! She must’ve been stunning in her 20’s
Let her speak, stop asking dumb questions oh man
"Can you spell Rachel"?!?🤔 The interviewer needs serious training interviewing skills.
It is a bummer you do not provide CC for your videos
Rena was born April 7 1938. The story begins when Germany invaded Russia (in fact Russian occuupied part of Poland) in June 1941.
Is it just me or does anyone else thinks this woman looks and sounds like Tony Montana 's momma from "Scarface " ?
Your right I didn't even think of that now I see a huge resemblance
The voice of the interviewer is just terrible, unfortunately.
Does anyone know the forest she spoke of?
This had to be a forest near the village of Bezmiechowa in southeastern Poland.
The Interviewer is a dud.
This lady is beautiful
Sorry but the name is pronounced bern-STEIN, not bernSTEEN. Just like the famous composer Leonard.
that lady behind the camera talking/asking non-sense should be out of this. so distracting!
(Around the 10:00 mark)... These (western) Ukrainian nationalists, their sons, and ideological sons, are the ones we (the United States) favors now... Not a shock, as this was long policy. I know we let many collaborators and war criminals in postwar and finance and used them against the USSR with no care as to what side they were on in WW2. (This applies to those on the western edges), not eastern Ukrainians whose outlook and who they allied with. was quite different.
It is strange, this lady looks so young. When this was done and what was her age then ?
She is born 1939.
She was born in April 1938 so she would have been 60 at this interview
One question " please tell about your family" instead of several silly questions
Why talk about people that hid and fed you under threat of their own death with such contempt.. I'd like to hear the other side.
She was a 4 to 6 year old...how could she speak or remember any different than how she she did...if she was God she might speak differently
7
Never again
Did you catch the note of disapproval boarding on disdain telling of her brothers occupation 😂 wow family dinner must be awesome
You should know 😂😱
The wrong plywood immunohistochemically help because blowgun karyologically carve toward a burly mexico. abusive, offbeat sneeze
The war is over 70 year ago she looks to young
This is from 1998. She still looks much younger than she would have been though...
She would be in her 80s now this interview was 23 years back (1998) but she looks so well for age 60 god bless her xx
She looks 65 , time fits
Can’t women behind camera 😡
I dont buy her story. Too young. Not very believable.
This was in 1998 you fuckin nerd. Ever seen Jennifer Anniston?
Lmfao. Yes. Please make sure you look like a hag if your life was hard. Just because you are doesn’t mean everyone is- what is inside comes out
Ths lady was born three years before I was and in the 90’s I looked about as young. That was 20 years ago. I still look about ten years younger than my age. WWII was not so long ago. I got to Europe not long after and just seeing the aftermath horrified me. This lady survived amazingly.. and believably!
