Evil Monster Created by SCP Foundation SCP-2419 - The Laughing Men (SCP Animation)

- SCP-2419 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as The Laughing Men.
Why are there screams coming from the incinerators of the waste disposal plant the SCP Foundation built to deal with hazardous waste? SCP 2419 is the designation that has been given to the facility, but it is what comes out of SCP2419 that is truly terrifying, and the impacts that this anomaly has on the SCP Foundation and how they operate could completely upend how they operate.

I love SCPs that are explicitly caused by the sins of the foundation. D-class poltergeists, laughing corpses from the process made to use amnestics, several SCPs that hate them specifically because of the mistreatment caused by their cold demeanor. No matter the intention, the damage is done.

Indeed it is
The only thing worse than a heartless destructive monster…is one that you’re responsible for existing!
We got a GOC member here, huh? :v

you'd think that having bullets and conventional weapons work against literally none if the SCPs, the foundation would've armed most of the task forces with something more advanced
My men use mostly specialist weapons and even me. (I place frost grenade cannon on my right shoulder armor)
Aw shit. The reptile broke free, pull out the LMGs!
3:01 what about shovels? That’s way more advanced
Actually the vast majority of scps are affected by bullets it’s just everyone wants to see the strong ones not the weak ones

Yep. Nightmares are about to happen.

There's an scp for everything. Want a killer train? The scp foundation has you.

To be fair, if I was treated like a disposable toy by who knows how many evil, sadistic SCP'S and then had my existance erased in a freaking furnace by the same organization that housed these SCP'S, I'd probably go on a murderous rage too.
Besides, these monsters are made up of the painful memories of bad people. Anger and pain don't care if you're innocent or guilty. Bad people don't care if they're innocent or guilty.
You’re a class D though, and Class D is made up for people who did acts that made them deserve the death row

_"Could some poor workers have fallen into the incinerators?"_ To be honest, I don't see anyone at SCP using the words 'poor worker', instead I would imagine words like _"Get another D-class here, ASAP, we're running out of test subjects!",_ considering the body count the SCP, good intentions or not, has by now.
Workers are the ones above D-Class, the janitors, mechanics and other menials that have no scientific role.
I'll say this one last time, Dr. Bright, this is NOT the way to test "Flame-proof D--Class"!
This is getting out of hand, first D class ghosts, now D class zombies! It's at this point that the foundation really needs to ask are we the baddies? I imagine the GOC thinks of these SCPs the way the foundation thinks of the remains of a chair.
Using D classes to experiment with anomalies is the top option for them. D classes are usually death row inmates and are already dead. The foundation is cold, not cruel though and there is an ethics committee to make sure they are not just throwing away lives. D classes are sometimes even released aswell.
@@superrooster18
Yeah. Cold, but not cruel. Or not cruel but cold depending on how one may put it.

@@CM-hx5dp You need to experiment to understand the anomalies and understanding them is important to containing them and extra important for making sure they don't surprise you with abilities you didn't know it had. Instead of putting these burning regenerative zombies back in the incinerator where they can get stronger, why not put them in a vat of industrial strength liquid nitrogen to put out their flames, and stop them from attacking.
You don't fight fire with fire, you fight it with water.
Hmmm yes an scp containment specialist
…that might actually work! Freezing them and locking them up would be much better than leaving them in furnaces that’ll eventually die out
Nice to see someone with a brain unlike most of the other commenters
Perhaps...but they are only burning while they are in the furnace. They can cool and regenerate. They are not intrinsically beings of fire. And containing them by freezing them would necessitate transporting thousands of animate, rage filled, nihilistic, violent, regenerating corpse people to a facility capable of keeping that many of them on ice.

If they have enough material, they should just pour concrete or molten steel down there so they can't move.
I don't think the video said they are super strong, just durable, so if you swamp em in heavy materials, they should get stuck right?
Hol' up, i know you, [REDACTED] "Idol" project enjoyer
That would require common sense and intelligence, something the SCP Foundation lacks.
@@Lardo137 They ARE extra strong, though. One was able to break through reinforced glass by making a knife out of its own bones. Human bones are not that tough and would break long before any glass would if striking directly.
It's also possible their regenerative process would break the concrete from the inside out. You'd have to constantly re-seal them, if it even worked.
@@driumissimo well actually human bones are strong although prolly not strong enough to go through reinforced glass
these things are fore all intents and purposes eternal, so any static and unchanging containment system will eventually be ground to dust beneath their relentless assault for all of eternity
there are so many ways a D-class becomes vengefull after death, can't give them a wrong tho.
"I survived because the fire inside burned brighter than the fire around me. I fell down into that dark chasm, but the flame burned on and on."
This is a classic SCP, it has almost all of the elements (tropes) that compose an SCP:
-Seemingly supernatural happenings
-SCP is more or less impossible to kill, or at least contain
-Researchers inadvertently causing the deaths of others (usually due to their recklessness and complacency)
-An entire facility being shut down due to just one SCP
-An elite special forces squad being called in (and promptly annihilated)
I think those are all the major ones, I might’ve missed some.
That being said, still a good and fascinating video.
Also, the Foundation getting use out of the suffering of D-Classes

Most do get affected, you’re just watching the extremely dangerous ones.
My god, you will have the 5000+ SCPs in a breeze at this pace

At the end of the video they said the screams were actually laughter. On the SCP Wiki, right at the bottom there is an email with a guy disapproving the method of containment. At the end he states that the D-classes are "not screaming at all. They're laughing". I agree that there could be a better name for them though, "Burning Men", "Phoenix People" something like that?
@@daneymcpane Let me know what your research tells you because last time I checked, laughing was on one end of the spectrum and screaming were on the other. Maybe the code name “The Laughing Men” was a common misconception🤷♂️🤷♀️
@@ObviouslyNotYou The SCP foundation already has a "Burning Man" SCP-457. I'm guessing they didn't want people getting the SCPs mixed up by calling this SCP "Burning Men" so they went with "Laughing Men" instead.
I heard somewhere that laughing is a form of terror. That's why we laugh when tickled; our ticklish spots are our most vulnerable parts like the neck, torso, limb joints. Being tickled, certainly at a young age, teaches us what parts of the body need the most protection in a fun way. I just thought that was interesting. I don't remember where I heard this.
@@daneymcpane SCP-457 took code name “Burning Man” Shoot! That brings down a lot of other options to rename SCP-2419 what about “Zombie Men” they all have been reanimated and brought back to life. Your right, Laughing methodically can be scary but in the video, when they emerged from those individual furnaces, they were screaming not laughing methodically maybe we could rename them to “The Skeletor Men”, “The Flaming Men”, “Combustion Men”? I know the names aren’t that creative but I’m still working on it. It’s cool that you found the research about the SCP
This is a perfect example of The Foundation creating the very problems they try to lock up, as well as creating another inevitable apocalyptic disaster

Man, I love this channel. Thanks for the hard work to bring us these great animations/narrations :)

Just give them some of their happy soup back. Like, not all of it, but even the disposable fodder of D-Class deserves a little bit of happiness.
This is like a predecessor of SCP-4973. Only this time I know the solution. SPC-999. You need to inject these things with joy and love to rebalance them? 999.
Though I'm also content to let The SCPF suffer for their crimes, it's better they learn and become more human. And 999 can certainly help with that too.
To be fair, they did what they did to be more humane to the living who had survived horrors of other SCPs, at the expense of using bodies of people who were already dead. Being humane is typically not a concern when dealing with the corpse of who was, most often, a convicted felon.
Juice Wrld is the best artist in my opinion RIP u legend
I only said that cause it reminded me of him when u said 999
@@shadowsa2b It's that kind of attitude that landed them with both this SCP, and SCP-4973. And now that I think about it, they could have used 999 to treat people instead of the happy soup. And this could have been prevented. I know there's complications to having them all threated, but I also know there's a solution for that too: Don't be assholes to D-Class. Remember what the prison psychologist in this video said? He was right.
If they wanna terminate this thing, why not try freezing them, it’s the opposite of putting them in fire so it should work AND cool down the bodies!

"The only thing keeping them in there is the constant burning of the furnaces around them. And those furnaces can't burn forever...they know they can't be contained forever."
I disagree. How about coating the furnaces in concrete, or the entire room perhaps? Like the doctor suggested at 9:00? They're not reality warpers or wielders of super strength. They're regenerating, intelligent zombies, and they can only do so much.
If they’re regenerating, they can just hit, and hit, and hit, until it breaks.
yeah, they would get out, and then annihilate the Scp foundation
That would make an awesome "when day breaks" episode
“With a horrifying scream that could make even the most hardened mtf member quake with fear”
The “horrifying” scream
“ArghArrhghagagag”
“Cold, not cruel” he said, extracting all happiness from a disposable human, leaving them a burning skeletal husk with nothing but vengence
First
So question would putting them in concrete be effective like lead them out into a massive hole then start poring concrete onto them.
They would break out eventually. Perhaps best containment for them would be space, since they aren't invulnerable to physical damage.
Love the dedication and quality videos, amazing voice acting. I'd like to see ya'll gain more popularity too. *ONE* *MILLION* GOAL!
I appreciate the ever-increasing production quality in each new video!
Im home alone, and now after watching this, I have chills on my back.
There's so many SCP's that utterly annihilate things, I'm surprised they haven't used those.
With the quantity of SCPs out there, there has to be some SCP that can bring TV show characters to life. The SCP Foundation should make Saitama, Omni man and Goku real and make them all members of the Mobile Task Force and then use them against SCP-2419, as well as SCP-682.

This was a really good episode, congrats

I feel that invincible SCPs are rather redundant.
I feel that way about the devourer of worlds, like we already have 682 man wth.
To be fair, I don’t think most keter scp’s would exist for that long if they were both fully contained and easy to destroy by conventional standards.
I usually find these silly but occasionally an excellent one comes along. Thanks for this one.
They should remove everything *but* the happiness, it'd be a perfectly useless counter to the ones made of pure malice.
It seems to me the solution is that we need to give them happy memories to calm their furious souls. But to do that, they need to extract the memories from somewhere. I'd suggest a balance. Leaving enough happy memories inside where it's taken from so it doesn't come back, then injecting the furious souls with what was taken. That may ease them enough to put them to rest if it works. Then we wouldn't have to worry about when the fires in the incinerators go out.
The SCP foundation hurts D-class personnel a lot. They should have known this would come back to bite them in the ass.
8:58 a small part of me still pities them merely for the fact that they had no say in becoming what they had become.
"Someone was screaming inside the incinerator". What a way to start the video!
why does the scp foundation use regular bullets can't they develop some laser weapons or somethings
They have electromagnetic weapons to fight the church of the broken God
They actually do, but only special task forces the the red right hand, (Alpha-1*) which is the highest possible rank status for an mtf troop, the A-1 is supposed to guard the un replecable oV Council and be prepared for anything by any means nessesary. Also the clock works, scp 914, can modify a normal firearm into a high end tech rail gun from the future.
@@flinch5184 these kind of weapons should be standard for the scp foundation not some bullet firing guns
@@minhducnguyen9276 those weapons should be the standard
@@gravity7208 The foundation have plenty of anomalous weapons. But they don't really know which one to pick until they understand what kind of enemies they are facing. The church of the broken God is easy to decide because some of those guys are literally made out machines. Using standard firearms also has the benefit of being discreet. They can just claim those SCP operatives are normal swat team. It would be hard to explain if they use a freezing ray gun or a Laser in public.
So there was more than 1 D-Class zombie SCP? And I thought I’d seen everything
Workers at the incineration facility: please let this be a normal facility
SCP-2419: With the SCP foundation? no way
I am surprised they didn't search for a living D class with some existing relationship with the entity to test with. While the true origin makes a friendly conversation unlikely, it seems like you'd have a better chance than an Foundation researcher when the creature's death was a result of the organization.
Did they try injecting some of the happy juice back in? Maybe it would temper their omnicidal rage enough to actually decide to die. Obviously, any future happy juice extraction should not take all of it.

I've always been curious why regular guns are standard issue for SCP security when everything seems immune to bullets.
Idk about you but like some SCP writers doesn't want some quick end to their creation, so often they have the uncreative attribute of "immortal" to prevent them from just straight up being terminated on the spot
And I do not favour this sort of writing, like simply "neutralisation attempts have failed since it cannot be destroyed" just comes off as annoying, like come on if I were developing an SCP game, I can't use this SCP since there's no way to terminate them
I don't really know what I am saying, I just dislike that many SCPs are simply "cannot die because yes" with no explainable reason whatsoever, just simply "I'm immune to bullets suck it weaponised men"
