This video covers the CZ 75 Compact, CZ 75D Compact and the CZ 75D PCR Compact 9mm pistols Overview and review of each gun specs.
CZ 75D Compact and 75D PCR Compact Specs:
The PCR name stands for ‘Police Czech Republic,’ the group for whom the model was originally designed. Nearly identical in size to the CZ 75 Compact, it weighs in at a full 1/4 pound lighter owing to its forged aluminum frame, making it more comfortable for everyday carry. Very similar to the P-01, the PCR uses the same alloy frame minus the light rail, making it even more concealable.
Equipped with a decocking lever, the PCR is designed to be decocked before holstering. After decocking, the trigger pull is much like that of a double action revolver. While there is no need to flip a safety lever off, the relatively longer and heavier trigger pull for the first round requires the conscious decision to pull the trigger before firing. Other additions to the PCR include rubber grip panels, serrated front and back straps for improved handling and a loaded chamber indicator.

CZ 75 Compact Specs:
At 5” tall with a barrel length of just under 4”, the Compact model shaves a little more than ¾” off the length and about ½” off the height of the full-size CZ 75. Its reduced size allows it to readily disappear under regular clothing. The CZ 75 DA/SA action with a manual safety lever provides the user with two options for carry: hammer-back with the safety on for single action operation or manually decocked for a double action first shot with no need to remember to take off the safety before firing. Because the 75 Compact retains the steel frame of the original 75, only 2.4 oz of weight is lost

Love this gun!
CZ 75 PCR is my EDC.
CZ75 Compact is my EDC for several years now.10+1 ands conceals very well.
looks like a great pistol, interesting about the different regions of manufacture, nice demo👍🏼🇺🇸🍻
CZ 2075, manual safety, is awesome!
Very nice pistol. Good review patriot. Thank you for sharing.
I prefer the P01 myself. But that's just personal preference. I like all CZ 75 models! 🔥
We have the European model with the pic rail. Definitely one to look out for!
Great review and info Patriot
I have the 75D compact and not the PCR version I am going to order some cool custom grips for it and I found that the grips are the same on both so it doesn't really matter when ordering them. I also have a P-10S and 2075 RAMI and I Love them all! They shoot great and I conceal carry my 9mm RAMI! 👌
I'm glad I found your video! I just bought a 75D Compact (not PCR) yesterday not being aware that there were two different models. The one I got was all black & black trigger, with decocker. They had it labeled "75D Compact". I paid for it and took a pic of the left side, and then went home to start my ten day wait (in CA) lol.
In the meantime, I was looking them up online and saw that there was a PCR version.
Looking at the specs, there seemed to be a discrepency.
The contradictory info I was seeing was that the regular 75D compact had a steel frame (and aparently a black trigger), and a regular safety, but no decocker. The PCR models I found had a shiny metalic looking trigger and alluminum alloy frame and the decocker. So, I was wondering if I had some oddball version or something or that the store may have mis-labeled the pistol.
But I guess not. It looks like I got what intended to buy - the CZ 75D Compact, streel frame, but with a decocker instead of safety. I'm totally fine with that.
Thanks for the video!
I think you'll be glad to have the decocking lever because you don't have to take a safety off, all you have to do is pull the trigger and as you do so, the hammer moves back like any double action and fires and although the first pull is heavier, you won't notice as much as forgetting to move a safety lever.
@@PC-uh6hk I agree. I don’t like manual safety’s .1 less thing. + heavy DA & safe handling is good with me. Had to try a micro 9. 365xl. & don’t get me wrong. Better than expected & continues to impress. Revolvers have been my thing for a long time. Not as comfortable with striker guns. Don’t care for safety on either.
Hi, I was mistaken... Well actually the gun store was mistaken. They didn't have it labeled in the case as a PCR. It does have a decocker and I guess aluminum frame. Anyway my mistake
But you can forget to decock when re-holstering that's where most of the dis-charges happen. For me give me a real safety that I can memorize every time It moves in & out of the holster. Not just having to remember decock half the time to re-holster, and still the decocker is not a true safety (I would not re-holster fast just in case). Still after this with Training all the CZ 75 models are safe.
Awesome video. Have a great day
Thanks! You too!
Great video Patriot! Now going to fieldstrip video.
Thanks for checking it out, I do appreciate it
I own the 75D Compact and the CZ 40P 40S&W. The 40P 12 round magazines fit the 75 compact and hold 17 rounds.
Really..hmmm. Good to know. Thx
Flush fit & reliable?
Great video pal
Glad you enjoyed it pal
I like the CZ75 with only the flat trigger.
Good stuff
Appreciate it my friend
Very Nice ! 👍
Thank you 👍
THE RAMI SHOULD BE BROUGHT BACK IN PRODUCTION NOW CZ
That chamber indicator on top... around 300 rounds it unscrewed itself & came off & lost on the Range floor never to be seen again 🤦
I would love to have a patch or sticker, magnetic sticker like your Patriot in the Dark logo! Maybe you already sell those.
Thanks for checking this out, I do appreciate it. Send me an email and I’ll see what I can come up with.

Great, accurate, soft shooting 9MM handgun...I have had mine for about six years. Try not to dry fire it too much to keep from damaging the firing pin retaining pin. They are easy to replace...many UA-cam videos on the subject.
Thanks for the heads up, I appreciate you checking it out
Thx. Think I have heard there’s better ones on aftermarket. Usually things are engendered the way they are for a reason. I like to know why I’m changing something, & why mfgr didn’t ,before I swap anything. On cars ,guns or anything else.
@@wbwills2 I'm not suggesting the pin be changed. I'm suggesting not dry firing it too much without some protection on the hammer. The hammer slams forward on an empty chamber, and the firing pin strikes the retaining pin and causing damage to the pin. In turn, this can cause malfunctions and the pin will need to be replaced. Ask me how I know !!
I've seen a couple of reports of this model having difficulty handling hollow points due to the fact that European pistols are not designed for them because they are not legal there. Of course you can believe every thing you read on the internet but I figured I would check with actual owners. Any comments? Thank you.
I haven’t seen any issues with critical defense, but I haven’t used any other HPs.
I haven’t heard of anyone having issues, but I’ll keep an ear out.
Thanks for checking this one out, I do appreciate it.
Like & subscribed. 1st time viewer. I want one of those guns,& am trying to figure out a couple things before starting to hunt one down. 3 first questions I’m trying to figure out is #1 try & find a older one(Ceck mfgd)or are newer CZ/USA made just as good.?.#2..whats up with the plastic guide rod & is it a good/bad thing to “upgrade”to SS aftermarket guide rod .?.#3 your sight,%100 blind & how long.?.don’t mean to be nosy. I have a friend that has a son who was born without a optic nerve (?).the way he explained it to me is(perfectly good eyes & brain minus the connection..#3 is your business and I’m not trying to be up in it. Michael (my friends son is so interesting to hang with & talk to. He’s more capable than plenty of the other kids I know his age. Or any age for that matter. Interesting is all. Anyhow,if you could be any help with questions #1 & #2 that’ll be a good start. Thx & take care.
Thank you, I appreciate it.
Now there are a lot of differences between the old VZ/CZ50-70s pistols and the new, which I enjoy both. The old DA triggers a really rough to some compared to the very smooth and very refined new pistols. Both are dear to me, but for different reasons. I have a couple videos I believe in a playlist covering them. Although I do not have any of the polymer new CZ’s.
As for the guide rod, I think it’s personal choice. I’ve never had any issues using the OEM guide rods.
I started going blind in 2007 and by the middle of 2010 I was 100% blind. I have no issues talking about my vision and how it affects everything, if you have any questions, just drop me a comment. It’s hard keeping track of what I’ve discussed, but check out some of my playlists and see what you find. 😆
Again, thank you for checking this out, I really do appreciate it. There’s nothing you can’t do if you set your mind to it.
WHAT ARE THE ISSUES WITH DRY FIRING AND FIRING PIN BLOCK ETC ?
The firing pin retainer pin can get deformed by dry firing, cajun gun works makes an improved roll pin that holds up much better for 5 bucks.
@@zachmiller9175 yes correct got 2 of them 5 dollars ss guide rod too
Where can u get holsters for it?
I haven’t purchased a holster specifically for the 75D compact yet, but I do have a versa carry holster that works. Just remember to also search for a holster that works with the 75D PCR compact. If I find one, I’ll make a video on it. Meantime, if you find one please let me know.
Thanks for watching, I do appreciate it
@@PatriotInTheDark If looking for a good quality leather holster check out Milt Sparks Holsters and Tueller Holsters both out of Boise Idaho
Thank you, I have to check them out. Appreciate you watching
All this info is known by us who own it
The Sights SUX PERIOD
Do they? I don’t know, I don’t use sites. Everyone knows that sites, optics including red dots are just a fad.
They’re just a crutch for sighted people. 😁
Thanks for your input, I do appreciate it
Lmfao, sights are just a fad!
I recently got several people pretty upset with me, I said on a USCCA video that light is just a crutch for poor sighted people. I guess they didn’t get the joke.
I didn’t even bring up sites and optics… 😁👍🏻
@@PatriotInTheDark idiot's. they can never know, internet keyboard warriors trying to pick a fight with a blind Marine. people so serious about the wrong things. keep doing you and fook the haters, Godspeed Brother
Do not whisper, pls!
I like My CZ 75 PCR BUT AND ITS A BIG BUT. THE WORST SIGHTS ON A HANDGUN .TERRIBLE A PIECE OF JUNK FOR SIGHTS
That’s interesting, why do you say that? I wouldn’t know, I don’t use sites. 👍🏻
