    This isn't about the video so much as it is about how you guys do business. Let me just say that it is rare that people put such personal touches on interactions with customers but you guys are a breath of fresh air. I ordered the plate for my new router and it came with a personal, handwritten thank you note on the invoice and a glossy thank you card with a piece of candy. Super classy. You honestly don't see anything like that anymore. Thank you for reminding me what it's like to be thankful for your customers.

    This is the reason I bought the Ridgid router. It had the opening on both sides so I didn't have to change it. It works great for me.

    i have the rigid router, which has an open back...love it . as for the vacuum hose attachment .it is more of a pain that it is worth . too much restrictions .

    For those on the fence, this modification is a must. Not hard to do. Watch the video on it. Dave & Eric will show how to do it.

    Thanks for all the videos, I've been getting my shop together and working on a router arsenal. Will the Dewalt cordless router fit the 611 base? Looks like they just added rubber overmolding, but wasn't sure?

      Yes sir, they have the same bolt pattern.

    Great demo. But 2nd time you had rear cutout facing you.

      Yep that's right, Good eye, I didn't notice that until I had already edited it. I should have had them both pointed the same way but I think the experiment still would have come out virtually the same.

    I open up both sides on my Dewalt like you have yours and it seems like a lot of dust is still coming towards me. Do you have any more tips or what I may be doing wrong? Do you thing the baseplate that I am using can be a reason as well?

    • @oldave100
      @oldave100  3 роки тому

      Not sure why that wouldn't work. Try rotating the router 180 degrees and see if it's any better. Sometimes that makes a difference. Email me if you have any other questions, eric@makeawoodsign.com
