We live in Newell and went to Spanish Springs and back with 56% left on battery

Happy Anniversary Michael and Tiffany! We celebrated at Prima on NYE purchasing our home in Dabney and our 7th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed our dinner there also! 50 more days until my husband is retired and we move permanently to Dabney!!! We cant wait to begin our next chapter in TV!

Belated Happy Anniversary Michael and Tiffany! Hubby retired last year and it's been his dream to trace Route 66. We'll be heading out in July. Promise you though, there will be No 24hr driving days; we both hate being behind the wheel. Renting car to go west and returning via Amtrak.

We had friends that referred us to Village Discount golf cars, they have 3 stores around the Villages and nice people. We bought a Atlas. It is a 48v 210 lithium battery and runns good. We bought it new. I would talk to them as one of I our stores to look at.

My wife and I are probably going go be doing the same after awhile, but we have no idea how to begin narrowing down the options! Definitely curious to see where you land on the electric one, sounds like it would be quieter and the range (while not as much as a gas one) seems to be more than you need? From assorted UA-cam videos on The Villages regarding eating out there, given the small (yet still very expensive!) portions I've seen served as various eateries I'm 100%/no-doubt convinced that if a resident did NOT cook @ home -- meaning never went to Publix or Winn Dixie -- and ONLY ate out at said eateries in The Villages, there is NO WAY they could NOT loose weight! To me, that'd a great "weight-loss program" where one could enjoy eating out/socializing, yet become healthier by getting his/her "old days" weight back -- not TODAYS! ;-)
Wish I were living there so I could personally (and thoroughly, no slacking I assure you) TEST my brilliant (!) theory.
As for golf-cars, I plan to go gas, so if you're into electric I couldn't help you. Good luck on that.
IIRC, the larger/major brands are Club Car, Yamaha, EZ-Go.
I first chose the Club Car (Onward Lifted model) as I wanted more ground-clearance and larger tires, but read too many owner-reviews on Club Car's poor (?) warranty/customer-care after the sale. If that's true (don't know), no thanks, as their aluminum frame (nice) wouldn't be enough to risk the potential of having any "unpleasant warranty conversations" if I ever needed something fixed.
Next was Yamaha (Drive2-PTV gas): The "QuieTech" engine is quiet (they say only 1 decibel louder than electric) AND has EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection, no carburetor) for better fuel/MPG efficiency. And since I'd be driving quite a lot ALL OVER the Villages from end-to-end and sideways (!), I want the extended range gas engines give you.
Don't know enough about the others like EZ-Go & Star (just 2 of the many) but Star also uses an aluminum frame they get from Club Car(?). But for me, I'd probably keep it simple go with Yamaha (had a Yamaha motorcycle years back and had zero issues with it). And Yamaha makes pretty decent personal watercraft as well. Don't know if they're any better re: warranty/customer-care after the sale though...THAT needs further research.

I saw your last video with the electric where you went to Sumter and did some side trips and when you got home had less that 1/4. I love my gas Yamaha quiet tech gets like 240 miles to tankful. Many of times I have taken it up by Spanish springs and then golf and come back with a lot of gas left in the tank

Grand Canyon is awesome. We love the West. Zion, Bryce, Capital Reef, Canyon Lands, Moab, Monument Valley, Rocky Mountains. For our 50th anniversary this year going to Old Faithful. “ Faithfully yours for 50 years” See USA first.

The Real Test is Spanish Springs to Your House How Is The Charge Then
Spanish Springs was only about 3 miles further north than LSL. We would have been able to make it there and back home on one charge. Plugged in as soon as we got home and was fully charged the next morning.
