for us older folks i cut off two 2x4 and took two of the steel square electrical plates you buy for about $2. buck bent them at a angle and attached them with two bolts per board to make some cheap ramps to slide the boat up. i also used a cheap harbor freight hand winch and attached to the front of the bed behind the cab of the truck - looking back a electric winch would have been easier but it works.
Do you happen to know/Remember the width between the wheel wells in the bed? I have a Frontier which I believe is 46" from wheel well side to wheel well side. I need to know if the Bass Raider 10e will fit between them. Don't want a trailer. As for loading, I'm going to throw a couple of ramps on the Tail gate and just slide it up and in. Can't do the lift like I used to do with my old Crawdad's. Was much younger then! Thanks
I don’t remember the width but your truck should be fine. I don’t recommend loading your boat like I did if you have trouble lifting. At my house it was easy to load but at the ramp not so much. Water will get in and the bass raider much heavier as well as slicker, also if your in a hurry it makes it stressful . In a later video I showed the bass raider a year later and I just keep it at one lake. To be honest I haven’t been out in over a year on it.
How about loading it back up at the boat ramp? Do you have to drag it up the incline to level ground? Mine should be here in a week and I'm trying to pre plan.
Yeah sometimes. I park close to the water and use the grass to launch it. Now getting it back can be hard but try and get all the water out as I lift it back in. Also I take everything out before I lift it.
@@Chrisbham does it damage it to drag it on the ramp? Sometimes you can't launch from grass in the places that I fish. Any other tips on loading back in truck when done for the day?
If you go past the tail gate with the boat just a little bit to the left or right then pick up you won't fight your body getting it in. I have one as well and love it. It is kinda a bitch to load full. I usually just put the troll battery and gear in the truck until I get to the drop off.
I measured my f150 bed. It’s 5’7”. Then to the end of the tailgate it is 7’9”. Is yours similar? Or is it exactly 6’ from the front of the bed to the start of the tailgate?
So it fits BETWEEN the wheel wells?
That is good but how do you get the boat in the water without dragging it all over ?
I park near the water where there’s grass between my truck and the lake.
Are the boat really stability? What the cons aboit them?
Yeah I haven’t had any issues, cons it’s small but that’s the point. 🤷🏻

@@Chrisbham Thank You sir!
This is perfect for me. I’ve got a 2000 Ford Ranger I’m looking to slide a boat into. Just want to do some pond hopping with it.
Same here. Worked out great. I need to figure out how to get it in my 99
my tacoma has 42" between the fender wells ..... will the 10E fit between them?
Pelcan Bass Raider is a great plastic boat. I've been too scared to drill in rod holders yet.
get clamp on ones at walmart
Make your own. Search around youtube.
I have a 2017 Tacoma and wondered if it would fit in the bed.
