I accidentally stumbled across this UA-cam channel and man I am so glad I did. I’ve been binging these. Thank you for your work. You’re freakin awesome!
I will never condone or agree with his actions, but HH Holmes is the most fascinating of the serial killers in my opinion. You guys are walking through history and i regularly feel as if Im right there with you🕸
Being friends with Jeff (HH Holmes great grandson) really made me interested in this video you just did. This is good. I will share with him your video. Awesome work, you two!
devil in the white city by erik larson is the best book on hh holmes. he’s a great author. i read it when it first came out years ago & still remember how good it was! love your channel!
It’s amazing hearing how he wanted to be buried, I remember watching this the first time you did it and I still love it. I don’t love what he did but the historic fact knowing he was the first one. Something to admire about that. It’s crazy the things we love about history but that’s what I love! Great video once again Michael and Jessica! Much love to you both! ❤️👻🎃 and as always Happy Halloween!
I recall hearing someone was trying to open his coffin. I heard there were road blocks and assumed they had given up. Great to hear the rest of the story. Great episode as always.
In case anyone who hasn`t heard this a female employee of the post office where the murder castle once stood found a vintage bottle in the crawlspace. When she took it home she began to have hauntings of what happened in the murder castle. She decided to take the bottle back to the crawlspace which ended the hauntings.
How you guys don’t have a million subs boggles my mind. So good at what you do. Being from Philly I never knew this. Worked construction countless times on those streets and walked and or drove by it without knowing. Another great one.
I love me some history. What I find weird is today people walk by something and don't give it any thought. It takes good people like you Michael and Jessica to bring it to people's attention. I am glad that Jessica is getting in on the videos. Thanks, guys, for another great video.
I've always had such a fascination with true crime. Of course I will never truly understand what makes killers tick nor do I condone such mentality. I do however enjoy hearing the history and stories. Another triumphant video you two😊👻
This is so fascinating. Great video. Would you consider covering the Bender family (otherwise known as the Bloody Benders) who were one of the first known serial killer families? Their story is really interesting. ❤
Fascinating, I was not aware of his burial requests. H. H. Holmes is the boogyman, creeper, nightmare and Godfather of serial killers. Great job and much appreciation for you two. Happy Halloween!
Scorsese and Leo DiCaprio were supposed to do a series together about his life and the world's fair...apparently it got cancelled a few months ago. But still could happen with different people attached, so who knows. Really interesting book.
I grew up in Toronto and I used to pass by this area near Bay Street. Got a terrible, depressing feeling and couldn’t ever figure out why. Turns out that that area was where Holmes murdered the 2 Pitezel children. But it was 25 years before I found that information out
Such a horrific but yet interesting story. You two always do such an amazing job telling these stories. Thank you so much for taking your time and sharing with us. As always, Happy Halloween!
Awesome vid as always!!!! Fantastic info/narration provided with a fascinating time in history! Stay safe and much appreciated. Keep up the great content.
My grandparents had an old series of 'Encyclopedia of Serial Killers' 📚 I remember as a kid reading about this guy n' seeing the diorama of the townhouse 🏠 inside, showing how rigged up from top floor to basement ways to get the bodies down easily.......it freaked the HELL outta me as a 10 yr. Old kid!!!!! They were an awesome 📐 of books 📚😁
Been watching you guys for a while now. Absolutely love what you both do! Thank you so much for bringing us all of these fascinating locations and doing all the research! H. H. Holmes has always intrigued me. I also always wait till the end of the video when you say Happy Halloween! It just makes my day! Thanks for another awesome video guys!
It's so awesome. Can't wait to get home to watch this video. I just finished playing the dark pictures video game, and the storyline is the H.H. Holmes
Yup 8 minutes from my mom's house muy gawd.....been there so many times and I swear at night it's haunted..... Dark Pictures Presents..... "THE DEVIL IN ME" That video game is based on him and the story they did is amazing 👏 A MUST HAVE !!!!! Yeadon, PA Baby 🫵🫵🫵🫵
It's so strange the request made by H.H Holmes, and that they would even be carried out?? To understand the mind of a serial killer, yet would anyone ever want to dive into such darkness? Another great video Michael and Jessica Happy Halloween🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
Another great video of you guys and I was interested in the HH Holmes serial killer and I read a out him ....very interesting....ty for all your hard work Michael and Jessica Grimmlife 💖....happy Halloween 🎃👻!!!!
Oh my god, I was losing my damn mind through this whole video, haha! I was like, “I’ve seen this before!” I felt like a damn psychic through the whole thing, especially as Jessica talked about Holms’s mustache disintegrating. I was like, “How the hell did I know she was gonna say that?!” Oh, my god. When I saw that it was re-upload I cracked up so hard. I was like, GHOUL! You’re not a damn psychic, chill out! Hahahaha! Ahhhhhhh, hot damn I love you two so much. Thanks for taking the time re-edit and upload this so I can enjoy it all over again. 🖤🎃🖤
oh micheal and jessica i remember reading about this serial killer in a book i have well done and thanks for bringing us along happy halloween to u both cool as cats u 2 👻👻👻👻👻👻
Do John Wayne Gacy... I am a huge fan of you guys. I think the work you do and the effort you put into making these videos is outstanding. I'm a huge fan of horror and the paranormal. It would be awesome to see some more ghost hunting videos and some haunted exploring... keep being grim :)
Holmes went to the University of Michigan. His photo can be seen in the Class photo for 1884. The class photo hangs in UM hospital. At UM he lived across the street from a cemetery. Kind of eerie.
I vaguely recall something said about H.H. Holmes in Philadelphia... I think from the ghost tours advertised. I had NO Idea it was these parts and South Philly. Now, I'll always think of that CVS as the original ACME! HA! Thanks again for sharing local history.... It is neat to learn new stuff from where I live. Come back to Philly more often! If you haven't done so or I haven't seen it yet, there's the Edgar Allen Poe house. Since I did my episode though, the old tree has since been torn down.
HH Holmes is fascinating really. I follow his great great grandson, Jeff Mudgett, and also have a signed and first edition of his book, Bloodstains. Jeff discusses and speculates that his great great grandfather could possibly be Jack the Ripper, as Holmes was in London at the time of the Ripper murders.... interesting read for sure!
Is this a re-edit of your original HH Holmes in Philadelphia and the cemetery in Yeadon? Did your original have you speaking with two descendants of Pitzal ?
I like watching your channel and learning about these things. Sad to say terrible things were happening, but there were way more murderers and serial killers before this guy. America and the world just considered it legal back then (slavery). This guy definitely gave me the creeps just by looking at him though.
@@dabear2438 My notification took me to the upload from 1 day ago, which does not say it was a repost. Now, when I search the link, it shows that it is a reupload. Thanks.
We will probably never know how many people Holmes actually kiIIed. Some of the people he said he did turned up alive and well. Minimum believed is around 9, maximum (probably) around 27. But they just don't know. It wasn't unusual for people to attend World Fair's from elsewhere and just disappear. Decided to stay or met with foul play or accidents, etc. Holmes' story is horrifying and yet so very interesting. Thank you, Michael and Jessica! 💚🧡🖤💜🎃

@@RiseFromTheDead Carl Panzram A Journal of Murder. Amazing book, straight from the source.
I have that Carl Panzram book though I haven’t read it yet .

I was thinking the same thing about the old prison wall, history in plain sight and people don’t even realize. Cool! Love the videos. ❤

That book was a lie. Read Adam Selzers book on him. He did a lot of research on it.
They are making that into a movie. But yes it is fairly fabricated

I find it interesting that even though Holmes was America's first serial killer, the term "serial killer" wasn't even coined until the 1970's.
Was just reading about the term before, they were usually called ‘mass murderer’ then
Thank you for another great informative video. You two are amazing. Happy Halloween 🎃
Great work Michael and Jessica 💫☄️💫☄️💫☄️ could you guys visit the grave of Dorothy Danridge in the future 🙏🙏🙏
Interesting episode. ✴
If there were crime scene photos of his carnage, I'm sure a lot of people would be a lot less fascinated by his evil.

There's some 10 serial killers documented before Holmes, but very well done video! Maybe we can get a Harper brothers video someday.
