A few of us, here in Oz, have a pal who we call Pythagorus. No matter what it is, he always has an 'angle'. I wouldn't let him anywhere near one of my building projects though . . . if his life depended upon it, his maths wouldn't save him. Btw, I have just set-out my new raised garden bed. I had the idea of using the old mathematician's theorem and came here to reassure myself. It did. Tomorrow I dig out the footing to make the 10' timbers level. I can feel a few more beds coming on. 😃😃 Thank you from Oz. 🇦🇺
This is so true... I owe my teacher an apology too, but I had to use this method to line out the profile board of a new construction project after arriving on-site and realized I left my carpenters square back home.
Thanks my frie;nd for this very helpful video. Now I'm sure I'll get my right angles right. And please , yeah...call your teacher and thank her , she'll be happy to know what she taught you is really helping all of us !!! Your friend from P.Rico, Edwin Oliveras
Heyy same here, few days ago i really felt so bad, what was i doing when they were teaching me. Never took maths seriously, now i realise d importance of those formulas
Just as you said it... I too was thinking that I owe my math teacher an apology. Thanks for explaining this and running through the concept. Greatly appreciated!
Great short video getting straight to the point all while keeping it simple and educational. I wish more UA-camrs would follow your lead instead of telling us about their day and what’s going on in the world and how many eggs does a chicken lay that morning before getting to the meat of the video? Thank you.
40 years ago I worked with a guy putting in fountains he swore by his book on squares and polynomials he would look up the hypotinous of each corner. This was very helpful laying out footings using a plumb bob with large changes in elevation
If you want to create a right angle you have to come at it from the 3:5 line because only when you have the two lengths pegged will you be sure that you are getting a right angle with the last leg which will ONLY BE 4 if it makes a right angle triangle. If you do it the way in the video using the 3 & the 4 you have already constructed your right angle (which may be wrong or inaccurate) and will have too much or too little string along the hypotenuse. The Megalithic stone builders knew this because they carried around a circle of rope with 12 knots and constructed their right angle triangle accordingly. This is 5,000 years before Pythagoras called it his theorem. Examples of this can be seen at Carnac in France using the 3:4:5 ratio.
Another way is thus. The angel on the any points on the circle support by two points of it circle's diameter end points, is The right-angle.If pointer pole is fixed at center of other double lenghted pole and the pointer can move around, what positions would be The three edgs are formed always be The points are right angle forming. . So The tool also good one.
Any information on how to add building up. My job requires a drawing for every building including measurements. Just looking for other ways to add up large building. Closing them out with measurements that corelate to the shot distances. Typical match north to south and east to west to get equivalent measurements. I understand perimeter and how to add a straight line but there's another solution that involves adding and subtracting
Simplest explanation I've seen on UA-cam thank you
True, I have watched so many videos about the topic but this is simple and clear
Though..I was looking for the actual content of 3 4 5 method..also I noticed your incredible presentation with genuine smile 😊
Thanks for this. Alot of us carpenter out there still need some guidance, everyday we learn something

Thank you from Oz. 🇦🇺
Sorry to all my teachers. I should have listened
Remember my buddies doing this back in the day, forming and building. Thank you for the refresher
Great and simple explanation ! Best i have seen so far. Thanks !
The right way of explaining the Pythagoras on the sight. Excellent.
You are the best teacher on this subject Alive...
Ah, Pythagorus. He dines in heaven now with the angles.
Stealing this 😂😂
For stealling from vedic math, mathematician Baudhayan
Good one 🤣
Thank you and I applaud your presentation.
Great host. Well shot. Easy to understand.
Wow simple and straight to the point, thank you
Very educative and beyond it all, the smile is great. Thank you.
Thank you for watching!
Such a beautiful explanation 👍👍👍
Straight to the point and so easy to understand.
Am telling you, women teach better when they knew that subject
good video thank you for explanations , and also you have a shining smile

Wonderful idea
Nice method
Thank you, so much, for taking the time to post this!! Dang it, I should've listened in math class 😜
Good job. Do u have a good job for civil engineer. I have more than 15 years of work experience in building estimate and finishing work.
Me too..lol..didn't know this method before
Thank you for the method. Very useful
Felicitari frumoasei domnisoare , multa sanatate si noi succese in munca ce o face !
Thank you, i never saw this in school but now its helping
Oh! thankx a lot, it was so simple, I watched a lot of videos but failed to understand. Grateful to you, once again thankx.
Nice information and good explanation.
Thanks for sharing.
38 years old… time to you math class from school!

Very wonderful teacher
Wow, cool. this is a number that is easy to remember. thank you
Thanks for showing us! ✌
I'm sure the teacher is very happy that you're applying the P Theorem in real life. Thanks for this video.
Buena explicación, hasta y a persona que no habla inglés la entiende.
Felicidades para esta bella joven.
Awesome!! I was searching for the measurement ideas
Thank you ma'am. i understand 3,4,5 method.
1million thankx for you...from Pakistan
The best explanation ever
Excellent teaching i really appreciate it madam
Heyy same here, few days ago i really felt so bad, what was i doing when they were teaching me. Never took maths seriously, now i realise d importance of those formulas
woow very good teach..... thank you so much
Thank you so much, so much easier to understand.
Thank you so much for this video.
Thank you so much❤
Hello Oklahoma friends.. Thank you for this video. God bless
Wow nice method and idea
For bigger corners use 6-8-10 and so on. Been using this method for 30 years.
Personally, I like to use the 12-16-20😁
Great video 👍
wow, this is very informative! Thanks you for the Video. 😍🤩
I'm not going to apologize to my maths teacher, but in going to thank my English teacher because I'm able to understand what your saying :)
Thanks for tuning in! Happy gardening!
Same to you
You can also use the 3,4,5 method in surveying in-order to avoid obstacles when surveying ..that was when I realize Pythagoras theorem is helpful
Just as you said it... I too was thinking that I owe my math teacher an apology.
Thanks for explaining this and running through the concept. Greatly appreciated!
thank you for u use easy and practical way of showing it

Happy to help! Thanks for watching!
So nice of you.thanks
Thank you much, I feel I learned something very valuable...my education sucked
Thanks for tuning in! Happy Gardening!
Beautiful.
now that I seen this video I remember how I did it years ago but forgot ? thank you

It's very use full video thank u
I have been using this for 20 years in construction work
Thank you
A Genuine explanation
Good video, I managed to grasp it so everyone should
Thanks for a important matter
Hi how are you,, you make very Good videos. Thanks alot. Keep it up..
This is something teachers an use to introduce a lesson on Pythagoras' Theorem.
I like you so much. Thanks for pointing me to this
great work dear queen
Impressive 👍💞
Thanks real very sample 👌 informative
Great video! Thanks for posting! Mill Gap Farms
Great video

you can also use this for measuring building angles, seeing if a wall is square or if exterior walls are angled or not.
Hi,help full video good thanks for you
This helped a lot 😃
Very nice method
Thanks for tuning in!
So helpful
Brilliant thanks!
Thank you so much
Ya I ll also use that method to create accurate 90° angle thank u I like u

its a faster and finest method. i like that(3_3-5)
Thank you for remember it for me.
Thankyou for charing🎉🎉❤❤
Thank you friend
Thanks
Mam how to lay out building with a deep excavation like 6mtrs below the ground
So at what size would a structure be to large to use the 3-4-5 method?
Waooo excellent good job
Good job
Nice Method
Thank so much
Nice. I need to weld my steel doors to save tens of money. When things get out of budget then you have to learn to do by yourself and save money.
I love the video
Soo sweet!
Thanks for tuning in! Happy gardening!
We are paver installers..& this is the method we use...
Haaa.. you made this cute and fun.
