Yes people kept on staring and kept on asking wtf is on my eye and it can get embarrassing (I was wearing eyelid tape daily in my senior year of highschool) but I powered through that until my eyelid started holding its shape. My excitement when I realized that I could sleep, shower, and cry (but not too hard) without my left eyelid reverting back to a monolid is above and beyond. I feel more confident now with my eyes and I feel comfortable using eyeliner without it looking wonky.
@@Asmr-hh6dj The eye gets poofy so the crease disappears. So when the eye gets back to normal, my original monolid will be back. But if I just use an eyelid tape for a day, it'll revert back to its double eyelid form without a problem.
@@Asmr-hh6dj It took literal mooooths. A little over 3 months probably. I found out my eyelids stayed one day after I showered and I didnt notice the tape got off but my double eyelid remained. At the beginning especially, I would apply 2 eyelid tapes (the one where only one side is sticky) so it would hold the shape better. I might be lucky since my right eye was already a double eyelid so chances of my left monolid holding a double eyelid was big but it doesn't hurt to try it out!
I already had double eyelids but they were uneven. I did this for eight hours on one eye then took it off and believe it or not my new fold stayed for a months(and counting). I bought a roll of one-sided eyelid tapes which is the only available kind in my local drugstore. I use it before i go to bed and remove the tape in the next morning and then I do my makeup routine. I CAN apply eyeshadow on my creases and draw eyeliner !!!! Before this, I can only do eye makeup after a long crying night or an overslept morning. Thanks to your trick, now I can do any kind of eye makeup whenever I want !!! It works even though I only put it on for few hours when I sleep !!! My new crease lasts until the end of the day. I’ll use the tape before going to bed everyday for everlasting effect 💗 So much thanks for you and your dear friend !

I have natural doble eyelid but in the middle there's a weird line that goes from the middle Iof my eye to the out of my eye corner. Its like the line you can see on her eye in sec 0:19 . I don't know if its a wrinkle or a new crease forming. I have it in both eyes but one of them is deeper. If I put that tape in that crease that its forming i nthe middle, the upper one that is my natural crease will dissapear? Im sorry if I this is confusing lol

It really works! I wore eyelid tape for 24 hours for 30 days. It’s been 6 years now and the fold is still here. Tho when i cry and my eyelids becomes puffy it comes a lil weird but when the puffing gone, the fold is back to normal again

Jessica Long im pretty sure you chnage it she just meant that she had to wear tape for three months and 22 hours everyday for it to work but i know that it varies for person for some people it takes years and otheres weeks.
I watched this video 3 years ago and got the tapes last year but doing this for 3 months straight really freaked me out and I didn't even start until two days ago. And I'm so glad that I finally tried. My eyelids are already even but I'm continuing the technique. I guess it depends on the seriousness of your problem. It works, it's true!!! I have been using this method when I was sixteen for more than one year more or less, without knowing that could there be other people doing the same thing since it was an actual method to "repair" your eyelids, I used the normal tape 😂😂😂 very very tiny so that it was pretty invisible (I hope so😂) and one year later my eyes looked bigger than before, but I stopped using this method 'cause it was a little bit uncomfortable and also 'cause I shamed people could discover me 😂, anyway it works, trust me! I'm 29 yo now, and my eyes look always bigger than 13 years ago. For my daily makeup I use only mascara, fortunately my eyelashes are naturally big so it helps a lot, but my eyelids are always visible, even without the tape, and sometimes, in special occasions for example I like wearing makeup that makes my eyes look bigger, as my loved and dear mascara to open the eyes, white eyeliner, light colors, never smoky makeup, etc... I mean the tips that everyone already knows.
@@roxyrox8178 trust me I understand you, it may be pretty uncomfortable I know, but the make up helps a lot!! Specially the mascara, it opens the eyes making them look bigger, and try to avoid dark eyeshadows or smokey style.. it doesn't work for us, natural tones like brown, light brown, cream or coral are perfect, they give you a very natural effect, very pretty. I use black eyeliner only on the upper waterline, so that it makes the effect of fullier lashes 😉 and I contour the eye with warm tones. 😉
i have hooded eyes (some days more severe than others) and my left one is always less hooded than my right. i cant wait to try this. this will definitely allow me to start doing any eye look at all and it work and i can start using shimmery and glittery shadows more

i had uneven eyes so i tried to do a homemade eye serum and it really worked to lift the eyelid and tight the area, i also had an extra crease formed and it faded so i have one crease now thank God. the eye serum ingredients: 1 spoon almond oil 1/2 spoon camphor oil 1 cap of vit E 1 spoon of jojoba oil squeezed water out of green tea bag half or 1 spoon grape seed oil 1 and half coconut oil. put them in a glass roller bottle and keep rolling clockwise on the orbital bone and on eyelid especially before sleep hope this helps.

Many people are unaware of this, but eyelid tape does fix your eyelids temporarily, but eventually can cause long term, if not permanent damage to your eyelid. It causes your eyelids to stretch and sag and therefore gives you an even worse problem than when you started. PLEASE PLEASE do NOT wear eyelid tape.

@@limenorth7493 I fixed my uneven eyelid just by putting hot water on a cup and put the cup on my eye for a couple of mins. I did this for a couple of days and istg my eyelid went back to normal.
This technique really work magically. I personally recommend to use it until you don't see a result, it might take a year or so but it works definitely. This is my experience..

Arizu Chan yes ! i read many websites saying that if you have thinner skin on your eyelids then the eyelid tape will pull down on your skin causing droopy eyes and could make your eyelid sag causing your eyes to appear much smaller

I have double eyelids but one of them has always been more hooded than the other (although, it wasn't that noticeable) until these past few years (especially with the pandemic and quarantine) my sleep schedule has been really bad, causing my eyes to become more hooded due to lack of sleep, one being prominently more hooded than the other. I already have an unsymmetrical face, so one eyelid evidently being more hooded than the other just aghhhh, lol I ordered eyelid tape around a few weeks ago and I'm just waiting for them to arrive so I hope this works!! Fingers crossed, will keep anyone who reads this updated lol
I have been using eyelidtapes for 2-3 years now and they make your eyelids bigger, but not permanently. At least not for me. but I like to use them with makeup cuz they make your eyeshadow more visible :)!
I've been using eyelid tapes for months, but then I read about a Korean Times article about why it's bad to wear eyelid tapes. Over time, it creases your eyelids, creating a sagging and premature aging look on your eyes which is a big NO. Come on guys, let's stop wearing it, it's not worth it.
You can use mesh eyelid tape and you can still wear makeup underneath. I’ve use tulle fabric and cut it up and used eyelash glue and it’s pretty undetectable.

i change it everyday but i make sure to replace the eyelid tape in less than 30 mins

I watched this video 3 years ago and got the tapes last year but doing this for 3 months straight really freaked me out and I didn't even start until two days ago. And I'm so glad that I finally tried. My eyelids are already even but I'm continuing the technique. I guess it depends on the seriousness of your problem. I didn't always have a triple eyelid so I guess mine was not as serious. Thank you so much for this video!!

I have both double eyelids in my both eyes...the problem is, one is bigger than the other.

It works, it's true!!! I have been using this method when I was sixteen for more than one year more or less, without knowing that could there be other people doing the same thing since it was an actual method to "repair" your eyelids, I used the normal tape 😂😂😂 very very tiny so that it was pretty invisible (I hope so😂) and one year later my eyes looked bigger than before, but I stopped using this method 'cause it was a little bit uncomfortable and also 'cause I shamed people could discover me 😂, anyway it works, trust me! I'm 29 yo now, and my eyes look always bigger than 13 years ago. For my daily makeup I use only mascara, fortunately my eyelashes are naturally big so it helps a lot, but my eyelids are always visible, even without the tape, and sometimes, in special occasions for example I like wearing makeup that makes my eyes look bigger, as my loved and dear mascara to open the eyes, white eyeliner, light colors, never smoky makeup, etc... I mean the tips that everyone already knows.

@@roxyrox8178 trust me I understand you, it may be pretty uncomfortable I know, but the make up helps a lot!! Specially the mascara, it opens the eyes making them look bigger, and try to avoid dark eyeshadows or smokey style.. it doesn't work for us, natural tones like brown, light brown, cream or coral are perfect, they give you a very natural effect, very pretty. I use black eyeliner only on the upper waterline, so that it makes the effect of fullier lashes 😉 and I contour the eye with warm tones. 😉
i have hooded eyes (some days more severe than others) and my left one is always less hooded than my right. i cant wait to try this. this will definitely allow me to start doing any eye look at all and it work and i can start using shimmery and glittery shadows more
There is a similar product called Opti-fold. I used it about 4months and got permanent eyelid creases! It's amazing how the product works!
This is pretty sad ...that there is even such a product - that girls feel so extremely self conscious to do something so Crazy- Does ANYONE see the beauty in themselves anymore or in the next 20 yrs will all look the same- like robotic ,expressionless creatures? I am super glad i do not nit pick myself apart like this- BTW Michelle,NOONE but you noticed anything abnormal with your eyes before..... soooo sad and what GOOD all you girls could do in the world( countless hours a week) other than obsessing over perfection- I feel sry for all of you doing such, spend your time making the world a better place NOT being a hypochondriac about your GOD GIVEN already PERFECT face! i had uneven eyes so i tried to do a homemade eye serum and it really worked to lift the eyelid and tight the area, i also had an extra crease formed and it faded so i have one crease now thank God.
the eye serum ingredients:
1 spoon almond oil
1/2 spoon camphor oil
1 cap of vit E
1 spoon of jojoba oil
squeezed water out of green tea bag
half or 1 spoon grape seed oil
1 and half coconut oil.
put them in a glass roller bottle and keep rolling clockwise on the orbital bone and on eyelid especially before sleep

I have monolids and I tried using this to get double eyelids. The thing is, my eyelids are very "fat" and heavy so it wouldn't work.
I had to use two strips of eyelid tape on one of my lids because it was heavy. :)

Samee! I’m just starting to wear eyelid tape today, and when I take it off, my eyelid becomes saggy. But hey! My recommendation is just to try it over and over. Our eyelids are getting used to it 😊

Please dont use eyelid tape. Many people are unaware of this, but eyelid tape does fix your eyelids temporarily, but eventually can cause long term, if not permanent damage to your eyelid. It causes your eyelids to stretch and sag and therefore gives you an even worse problem than when you started. PLEASE PLEASE do NOT wear eyelid tape.

@@limenorth7493 I fixed my uneven eyelid just by putting hot water on a cup and put the cup on my eye for a couple of mins. I did this for a couple of days and istg my eyelid went back to normal.

This technique really work magically.
I personally recommend to use it until you don't see a result, it might take a year or so but it works definitely. This is my experience..
Hi! I have been using eyelid tape EVERYDAY 24/7 for almost a year. It will stay for a couple of hours when I take it off then it goes back to normal. Should I continue? What brand is good? I use cheap ones from Amazon maybe I need a better one

Arizu Chan yes ! i read many websites saying that if you have thinner skin on your eyelids then the eyelid tape will pull down on your skin causing droopy eyes and could make your eyelid sag causing your eyes to appear much smaller

I have double eyelids but one of them has always been more hooded than the other (although, it wasn't that noticeable) until these past few years (especially with the pandemic and quarantine) my sleep schedule has been really bad, causing my eyes to become more hooded due to lack of sleep, one being prominently more hooded than the other. I already have an unsymmetrical face, so one eyelid evidently being more hooded than the other just aghhhh, lol I ordered eyelid tape around a few weeks ago and I'm just waiting for them to arrive so I hope this works!! Fingers crossed, will keep anyone who reads this updated lol

I have been using eyelidtapes for 2-3 years now and they make your eyelids bigger, but not permanently. At least not for me. but I like to use them with makeup cuz they make your eyeshadow more visible :)!

I've been using eyelid tapes for months, but then I read about a Korean Times article about why it's bad to wear eyelid tapes. Over time, it creases your eyelids, creating a sagging and premature aging look on your eyes which is a big NO. Come on guys, let's stop wearing it, it's not worth it.
You can use mesh eyelid tape and you can still wear makeup underneath. I’ve use tulle fabric and cut it up and used eyelash glue and it’s pretty undetectable.

I have multiple creases so i use single sided tape to cover the fold i don't want. That stops it from creasing there
My eyes keep going back to normal when I sleep I wake up and there like different they don’t stay the same on my opinion
