    It's funny how people all over the world are raging about the benefits of chia seeds, and here in Mexico they literally sell them on the streets, the are so popular and very cheap.

    • @chefykitty

      possiblyofclouds Highly doubt Ochi used gluten free bread, especially because she tagged this as vegan and then put cream cheese on the bread. I love it. Its like a big fuck you to vegans, though unintentionally.

    • @possiblyofclouds
      @possiblyofclouds 9 років тому

      Skeptical_Spatula
      That is probably not gluten free bread, no, but it's just not really a fuck-you to vegans or people with celiacs since they can do pretty much the same thing anyway.

    I remember eating chia seeds for the first time, I couldn't handle it because of the texture but now I'm used to it and I'm still eating for health reason (gastric, ouch!) haha. I would love to try this out one day, thanks for the recipe! ^-^

    I made that face when I first tried natto. Such a strange texture, and a little tart or sour. She would probably like tofu, it really doesn't have much of a taste unless you add sauce!

    赤ちゃんが今使える言葉で一緒に遊んでくれる心優しいパパなのでとっても楽しそうだね!納豆はまだまだ無理!(ママ自身大人になるまで駄目だったと言ってるのにw)でもお食い初めの石をブッ・・とは違って、食べ物らしいからと暫らく考えてる。考えてるところが賢い!納豆は?だったけどネバネバ系の食品は健康に良い。食品を色々試してくれるママも賢い!

    can I grind the chia seeds in food processor first? So that it is easier to digest and absorb the nutrients...

    • @victoriamarie1859
      @victoriamarie1859 9 років тому

      June L From what I've read about them online, they don't need to be ground, but you can still do it with a food processor, coffee grinder, etc. if you want to. I think it's recommended to grind them yourself vs buying them already ground.

    Just letting everyone know, honey is not vegan. ☺

    • @platinumcross4720
      @platinumcross4720 9 років тому

      Why

    • @Nushgala
      @Nushgala 9 років тому +1

      Its made from bees. Its not all plant based. Their wax is basically their vomit and honey is basically bee spit. It is made WITH pollen, not entirely from it.

    • @possiblyofclouds
      @possiblyofclouds 9 років тому +5

      Nushgala I don't think Ochikeron was saying it was, that's why she gave so many sweetener options. Anyone who is vegan should know that already.

    • @Nushgala
      @Nushgala 9 років тому +3

      possiblyofclouds yes, which is why i didn't direct my comment towards Ochi. But some new vegans don't know these things. Just some friendly information.

    Technically, this is not jam. And cannot be labelled as so. "Jamming" is a method of preservation & is made up of 60% sugar and 40% fruit. Ochikeron please do not take my comment harshly as I love your channel and want to see it grow but please do more research regarding the recipes you post up :)
